About time 😂 All their songs are just as amazing, they can put metal, rock, PUNK, reggae, jazz, hard, soft, fast, slow, and 4 different vocals in every song,,, seamlessly. You will never get bored of MTH 🎉
Maximum the Hormone takes on a real rollercoaster ride with the occasional left turn out of nowhere. I would like to recommend my favorite MTH track: "HUNGRY PRIDE" its a straight up adrenaline ride.
The story here is that Winny was like the Japanese version of Napster. It's now defunct, but the latter half of this song is a parody of the people in the music industry who were pushing back against it. Also, I don't remember if the Gaijin Guys mentioned this, or if you remember it, but their drummer Nao is Akane's biggest influence as a drummer.
that's true. in addition, it was an expression of outrage against the bands that sold out to the pop culture to gain some yen. and of course, those that collected the most were those that turned most towards pop. they couldn't understand that culture, being most "alien" for them

Well done for noticing Nao the Drummer was the singer in the wedding dress, you would be surprised how many reactors don't notice (until she goes behind the drums obv). I literally lol'ed when you said It just doesn't stop almost on beat to where it was about to go J-Pop. You should listen to Yoshu fukushu next, then everything else.

Fun fact, Nao is kind of A-KA-NE's inspiration or personal heroe for her so you can expect brutal performances from her... I won't tell you where to go next, the MTH experience is something you need to discover on your own. But I'm glad to see you down here with the rest of us...
MTH isn't my kind of music, BUT they come across as such great fun group of people I can't help but watch every video they have and follow what they are doing. They clearly love their fans and even write songs and videos just to respond to them.
This band is worth going through their entire catalog. So many songs are just as dynamic and wild as this one if not more. The first time I heard them they were doing songs for anime like Death Note and Akagi and I have been following them ever since.
If we didn't have MTH, we may never would have Band Maid. Think about that, Po! 🦍🍌A-ka-ne was inspired to be a drummer (like many other female drummers) by Nao Kawakita (drummer MTH).
Murata Tamu of Nemophila is also clearly a fan of Nao and I'm sure there are plenty more examples like you said. Nao is also an incredible drummer in her own right, being able to keep up with the wild switches in MTH's music can not be easy for anyone involved.
@@MaartenT Speaking of Tamu-sama, I was introduced to her on her old YT series where she did drum collabs. One such was with Senri Kawaguchi. Yesterday, I went to Blues Alley Tokyo (a small bar and grill with live Jazz music) to pickup my ticket for the Kiyo*sen live (including livestream) the next day. To my surprise, Senri was doing a sound check and I got to witness her greatness, Po! It's icing on the cake to see her, then on Monday to see Akane-sama live. I'll catch Nemo next time I visit Tokyo from LA.
@@JK-tz6kk Yes, Tamu and Senri both have done some collaborations with different drummers over the years. I like how a lot of the Japanese artists and bands seem to try to help younger musicians to get a spotlight on them when they themselves have become more of a known artist or that they try to collaborate to try and get a cross-pollination between fanbases. And that Kiyo*Sen concert sounds amazing! I am a big Senri fan myself for a while now. Actually from even before I started to listen to the Japanese rock and metal bands. Thanks for letting me know about the livestream, I am not sure if the services they are using are available for people outside of Japan, but I will certainly give it a try. That bar looks great as well, the lineup for this month has some stuff I would love to watch including multiple things with Senri (The Jazz Avengers for example) and Juna Serita. It won't come cheap if one of those streaming services works for me, but it will be worth it. I don't know that much about jazz, but I have enjoyed all of Senri's projects that I have heard. I recently saw that Senri and Kanade Sato did a livestream together with Juna Serita on bass and a Jazz guitarist I didn't know. I unfortunately noticed it when the livestream period passed (I was a day too late or so) and I'm still kicking myself for it because I also really like Kanade Sato and Juna Serita. That said, looking it up again made me find an other Senri livestreamed concert at the end of the month as well. Monday will already be packed with Band-Maid and Gacharic Spin streaming at the same day, but hopefully I will be able to find time to watch it all. Enjoy the concert on Monday and thanks again for the tip! Edit: It seems like that second one works for people outside of Japan. The archives don't stay super long, but I am sure I will find a way to make it work. I will know what to do the next week. Thanks again so much! Fun fact, these guys knows each other since school and the drummer and guitarist are siblings... But Mr Rock and Roll, be aware that you will never know what to expect from them : never unbuckle your seat belt until the end of the song, cause they are here to melt away your face and make you go nuts... never lower your guards! The 180 turn in this song can really through new listeners for a loop, it will even catch fans off guard. The fact that it's starts with probably their heaviest sound and then suddenly turns into one of their softest sounds is just awesome, I love it so much. Look only 1 kid is left and it is almost crying" than he says " but I have to a statement on that! Hey kid, you hate Winny also dont you?" then kid runs away and the drummer "Well now you can stop it. All returning home you know. Btw nobody is doing Winny anymore nowadays anyway!"
I’ve been waiting for you to get to this band. I too started late with them but man am I glad I started. This band has become one of my favorites since I started my channel. Yoshu Fukushu, Koi No Sperma and Let’s Talk about Menkata Cottelee are great ones to start with.
