To be honest I didn't expect much from this show and I was kind of scared to watch it.
The book Looking For Alaska by John Green is one of my favourites so I was afraid the show would completely ruin the story.
On the contrary, the series made the story even better.
The location and the vibe of the series were just how I had imagined while reading the book.
Yes the characters look different from the book, but the actors all did such a good job.
I fell in love with Kristine Frøseth as an actress while watching The Society where she plays Kelly, and I never really saw her as the perfect person to portray Alaska, but damn how she proved me wrong.

Someone may never see this comment but I finally understand why Alaska pushed Miles away when he tried to kiss her. It wasn’t the fact she didn’t like him. I believe she did, and she didn’t want him to kiss her because she was hurting, and if he did at the time it would just be one more reason for her to stay. Even though she might not have wanted to. Sure her death was an accident but she may have been hurting so much that she portrayed to everyone else she was okay but she was in more pain than any of them could understand. You never know if someone is suicidal until it’s too late. Until it’s actually happened.

I hate the way I know she will die from the first 30 sec for the watching the show, they showed the car accident, that was really bad, still loved the show. I cried like a baby for the whole last 3 episodes.
Based on the show, I believe it was an accident she was so wasted and felt really gilt for forgetting about her mom's anniversary which explains the flower.
I really hate and love Looking for Alaska, The Society, the O.C, and 13 reasons why. these shows broke me.
In real life, I hate persons like Alaska or the O.C Marissa Cooper, reckless and drunk all the time and they hurt people around them.
All the evidence from both- the show and the book proof that it was NOT an accident. It was the way out of her labyrinth of suffering...
@@linam9783 There was a flower if I'm not mistaken on the car which supported the theory of accident and her being totally wasted. So there is a chance for both theories I say.
@@mhnoni I think she was both wasted and she felt she forgot everything, (Jake, by hooking up with Pudge, and her Mom's anniversary and felt she was getting stuck deeper and deeper into the labyrinth and being just a total screw up). She got out of there straight and fast, without braking, without swerving, just like what she wrote in her book.
