That's a kind thought. Conversely, I find myself wishing wise people whose perspective I admire who have passed away were alive to "help" us with their voices- Joe, Lennon, Hitchens.
@MinertheCrafty This is the first time in forever that I've seen someone use the dreaded "iconic/icon" word properly. Cheers to you, and thank you for knowing what that word actually is/means.
Oh my God Joe here 😢was the cutest. At this stage there was no persona to maintain. He was having fun, so it was even more tragic to then lose. Just an amazing guy.😊
I grew up with punk music in the 90s and found my way to the Clash early on, but it was in 2001 when I first heard the Mescaleros, and they changed everything about music for me. Joe Strummer changed my life. My favourite band of all time, my favourite warlord of all time!
?☮️⌚🎃❤ between Earthquake W, and Grosse Point Blank, and ArtXray Id no clue what J S was about. Cool, nice backlog. Glad he enjoyed time to enjoy his fam: that's who he owes it all to.the only punk lyricist I pay attention. Manic Nomadic tribe of Mariachi 😻
It was a style of camerawork, popular in the 90s, it was very annoying, wear headphones and you'll notice they do a similar thing with the audio as it bounces left to right
@@misakiyoshida wondering if his heavy drinking and smoking plus him starting to take lots of different psychedlic drugs could have made it worse or if it would've happened regardless 🤔
Right?! Stop all this jump-cutting from one camera to another, changing colours all the time, what bollocks. Joe was simple, natural, direct. Why can't you be, Mr. video maker???
@@morganfisherart it's obviously not my real name how am I not positive with my comment . If your a fan did you buy all his solo stuff or buy it after he died . I've met Joe sang on stage with him my point is his gigs were sold out if all those who attended bought his music it would've chartered

Your comment says it all!
We need Joe Strummer now more than ever.
Thanks for watching and commenting
Ain't that the truth.
Love Joe's enthusiasm and positivity boy the world could do with some of that now. Keep the fire burning wherever you are.
I miss him. Sad thing is it's better he hasn't seen how hateful and insane the world has become in the last twenty years since he left us.
20yrs! Feels like yesterday. Words as fresh and true as ever.
That's a kind thought. Conversely, I find myself wishing wise people whose perspective I admire who have passed away were alive to "help" us with their voices- Joe, Lennon, Hitchens.
That’s true.
"hateful and insane the world has become" so I'm guessing you didn't live in London in the 1970s then
This guy influenced so many thousands of bands and people across the world! The only band that mattered!
The Magnificent Joe Strummer

"Double OG, punk rock warlord" - Amazing :)
Love him and his great pal Brian setzer xx
Thank you for uploading this amazing video.
Joe We need you now .
Joe mentioning magic mushroom and then looking and sounding like he's on them towards the end of the interview.
The whole interview imo, hardly made sense but completly entertaining!
A Holy Document!
🌟💙🌟~ Joe forever!
I love how he's free to talk about whatever crazy shit he wants for as long as he wants to here.
Great interview.

Strummer with The Clash- Brilliant. Strummer with The Mescaleros- ditto.
Too cool for this planet. This is what RUclips is for.

Brilliant Joe.
What's up with the camera team ¿

2:54 great quote 🤣

You don’t get olly murres talking this way
Unwatchable for me because of the constant editing show off crap. Should be about Joe Strummer, not the editor or cameraman.
Tony Adams

Original gangster style 😂
Maybe he was on mushrooms or coming down when he did this :)
The world is a worse place, coz he is not around.
Strummer knew the score. Murdered at fifty. Fit guy. Fifty?
Rare heart defect that usually goes undetected unfortunately. They caught it in Mick Jagger before it was too late.
@@misakiyoshida wondering if his heavy drinking and smoking plus him starting to take lots of different psychedlic drugs could have made it worse or if it would've happened regardless 🤔
The constant cutting between two camera angles is incredibly distracting.
I totally agree, but there is no other version of this interview available
@@ScottishTeeVee Yeah, I appreciate the interview in itself. Just the cameraman or editor did a lousy job. But the content is good.
And this my friends is what happens to you on drugs..lol
Double oog punk warlord! Thats when you know you been around tim armstrong to much
Joe definitely "off thou"! 🙄
Jesus what is this editing

Cooler than Fonzi
The late 90s and early 2000s had the most annoying style of video editing....
Everyone on here saying we miss him
I bet ya half never bought his solo records
I bet yer real name ain't Joe Strummer either! If you really represented him you'd be more positive mate.
