    I had DBS over a year ago and it was very successful, the process is fine.

    Hubby was fortunate enough to qualify for it. It was a big game changer for him. He doing well but still struggling with energy and painfull muscles.. im trying to be encouraging but hes distant ...alot in his mind

    Thank you for sharing. I had DBS surgery 3 years ago after fighting PD symptoms for 14 years. I only wish I had the surgery sooner. Best of luck!

    Thank you for sharing. I get dystonia in my left foot and arm. At the moment I can just about manage it with a combination of exercise and a kind of meditation where I can get the muscles to relax. My specialist believes I’m a good candidate for DBS but I am scared of the side effects damaging my speech and my ability to work.

      Many doctors do it all asleep now due to advancements in more detailed and specific MRI technology-- i.e., whereby they don't need patient feedback during surgery.
