thank you.
There are a couple of half-moon metal cutouts at the end of the camshafts that need to be pulled and re-rtv'd. That stuff also gets old and can leak. Also there are small cuts at the surface of those half-moons that need rtv. excellent video.
thanks for taking the time to watch this video I really appreciate that.
great video
thank you very much.
Which is better to use for cleaning gasket cover, brake cleaner or throttle body cleaner? Thanks.
may be throttle body cleaner a bit better than brake cleaner but I prefer started fluid, buch better than these 2, thanks for sharing.
My mechanic told me my valve cover gasket needs replacing. I’m looking to do it myself. I purchased the fel-pro kit which comes with some many more seals… (VCT Solenoid Seal, Oil Control Valve O-Ring, Camshaft Oil Feed Tube O-Ring Included; Includes Spark Plug Tube Seals; Valve Cover Grommets Included; PermaDry Molded Rubber Gasket Included)😮. Do you think I need to replace anything other that was replaced in this video? Thanks!!
thanks for the visit and great question, that will depend on how any other gaskets would look, if someting else is leaking then it needs to be replaced but if that is not the case then dont, in my case only valve cover gasket was leaking.
@JM Auto Repair true. It’s just hard to tell where those other random gaskets are located.
I noticed you didn't add silicone
hi, yes I did but by mistake did not record it. I thoutgh I was but I was not recording, I apologize the not showing that part.
You didn't clean the outside of the valve cover
no I didn't
