Old Threshers Reunion Young Engineers Running Steam Engines at Mt Pleasant Iowa September 2022

This was taken at the Old Threshers Reunion in Mt Pleasant Iowa on September 3rd, 2022. These are just two of the young men and ladies at the Reunion and just a sample of the many early steam traction engines. It is so fascinating and fun to watch, especially when the young participate. My favorite engine was the Case Killer (not shown) only because he made a lot of noise. You know, like loud trucks who make a lot of noise and don't have anything else. This years show was outstanding with great weather, wonderful entertainment, and so good food. My favorite lunch was the walking taco at the Mennonite tent, but all the food was delicious. There is constant entertainment with very talented music groups and singers. Even Elvis was there. The of course are the hundreds of tractors, motors, cars, trucks, and steam powered saw mill, rock crusher, wood splitter, and more, and so many hit miss engines washing clothes, mixing feed, grinding, stirring, and just running. It was all my favorite smells at one time: fresh cut oak wood, coal burning, wood burning, some fuel exhaust, hay, and cooking food. Ah, heaven.
