    Lyrics:
    Could be holding you tonight
Could be doing wrong or start doing right
You don't care about what I think
I think I'll just stay here and drink
Hey, putting you down, don't square no deal
Least you'll know the way I feel
Take all the money in the bank
I think I'll just stay here and drink
Listen close and you can hear
That loud jukebox playing in my ear
Ain't no woman gon' change the way I think
I think I'll just stay here and drink
Hurtin' me know don't mean a thing
Since love ain't here, don't feel no pain
My mind ain't nothing but a total blank
I think I'll just stay here and drink

I’m happy that Redd got his chance to play with the strangers. He’s very respected among them and guitar players around the world!
Redd is a totally awesome person and a totally awesome guitar player- not a bad singer either!!’

Redd Volkaert was certainly one of the best replacement tele players when Roy Nichols R.I.P. Very talented tele player. Not sure how many years he actually played with the Strangers. mosrite60

One of the best party tunes out there..Released in 1980 on Merle's Back to the Barrooms album. It was also Merle's 26th #1 Hit.

Merle gave Red one and he played it awhile then went back to his teles. Merle asked him what was wrong with it and he told him the pick ups. Merle said then change the son of a bitches and he did. Brought it back out and during the second song Merle asked him to replace his. I forgot the guys name that made them but he lived in Massachusetts.

I just came across this concert of Merle and loved every piece of it especially the songs with Bonnie. He was the best!
Does anyone know where/when this concert took place? Do you know who the amazing saxophone player is? Thank you in advance.
    R.I.P Merle.

If you like Redd with Merle; try Redd with Dale Watson. They were great together.

      Amen
The only president in history that actually tried to fix the economy !
Some idiots don’t have a clue ,so rapped up in the main stream media’s bias !
And absolute political mutiny on both sides of the isle .
And he still accomplished more ,in his short time than any others !
Thanks for noticing you are a true patriot.

Dude you should be ashamed of yourself comparing Merle Haggard to Donald Trump. I would've never done that and I love Merle Haggard music. I don't care if you love Trump or not that was uncool to even say
