First flight with my DJI Mavic

I reside in a city with no place to fly a drone, (UAV).
I recently purchased a DJI Mavic Pro and until I get familiar with the controls I needed a place to fly while abiding by the drone rules.
A 20 min drive out of the city is the local model aircraft club with their own airport with one runway, located in a remote area that are within the drone rules. A member is entitled to the full facilities, socials and insurance coverage for either model aircraft or drones.
Once I become competent, I will then take the drone to outlying scenic areas to capture video footage to edit then make it available for viewing.
The aforementioned model aircraft club is Shuswap Lake Aero Modelers (SLAM), located in Blind Bay BC.
