In 1972, I used to go fishing with a friend on weekends for white fish just downstream from the Bears paw dam, and then we would go with our bicycles to Bowness Park to grill on the barbeques provided at the time! Little did I know at the time that the water treatment plant was that new!
Your historical video was of great value to me, as I was born and raised in Calgary and am in my late 60's now, having grown up near the Glenmore reservoir in Haysboro district!

Also thanks for the historical photos, I love combing photo archives and comparing them to what's changed over time!

You don't realize how big this crisis (Bearspaw Feeder Main break) is until you see a video like this one. I'm glad we can now have unrestricted use of water for drinking 🚰, showering 🚿and lawn care 🚜. Triple checks✅️✅️✅️ all around. 😊

@@michaell.5584 I am scared to find out what is next! I am saddened that I witnessed the great Ralph Klein, having had the foresight to simply go ahead with the LRT in a time where the economy was tanked, and he said "Build it and they will come, and he was right! Now we hum and haw so long that the costs are ascending at a horrendous rate at a time when the flood gates are open to the hordes of Migrants! I will unfortunately never witness the completion of the Greenline in my lifetime! But luckily I will be no longer around to witness the huge tent and trailer camps in the city because of the serious housing shortage and unattainable affordability for average folk! Look at our future in San Francisco and Seattle as an example!
