Deposit paid on a 22 plate Cyan blue MT 125, got it at a steal, £3650 from Yamaha main dealer, with just under 12k miles on the clock. my CBT also booked. Looking forward to getting on the open road and just enjoying it.
When you consider it’s got full main dealer service history, buying it from Yamaha direct, 22 plate for maybe a 1.5 yrs old nearly. And you see others at £4+. I think it’s a pretty good deal
Its a solid motorcycle overall anyway but I am not seeing those prices anywhere I look finding way cheaper and for a 125 I honestly couldn't pay that much ever. But the service history is added bonus but still sheesh thats pricey. Only reason I brought it up as I bought something similar for £1600 a week ago.@@danielgaughran-vazquez2018
the only problem with the Lexmoto co is severe lack of dealers, i was hoping to purchase one but in the end i opted for a Mutt as dealer only 12 miles away whereas the lexmoto was an hour away...
I still got my indestructible learner honda 125 cbf from 2009 , my go to bike for local runarounds but occasionally do a 400 mile round trip on it .Ebikes are catching up with 125 quick imo
Both great performers, MT benefits from some tech advancements (TC etc) but at a cost. Go with what YOU think looks best, and if you get the opportunity, have a sit on both bikes and see what feels right for you!
@@BikeMatters thanks mate. They both look really good tbh but I ended up getting the MT cause of the bike shortage atm (found a 2022 tech black in a shop close to where I live). Nothing getting to France before end of September and I really wanted a bike for this summer :)
Both are great bikes, MT has tech advantage but at a price. Go for what you think looks best, and if you can, have a sit on both at dealerships to see what feels right for YOU.
I have last years Zontes ZT125-G1 and love it but if I could change it for another it would be the Yamaha XSR 125 Legacy (which didn't even make the list).
Sinnis, made in China, likewise lexmoto. Zontes, just waiting to go wrong... Bikes that small don’t need all that electrical mush, especially abs...The husky is ugly as heck....seems tech is the only requirement these days...obviously having USB ports is more important than the bike itself....
What Naked 125cc Motorcycle would you choose in 2023? Let us know below!
I think VOGE 125 R, the best for quality/price.
kawasaki z125 or ninja 125
The aprilia❤
that cb125r design looks so beautiful compared to cb150r here in Indonesia, that's why I choose mt15 for my first naked bike
Thanks for the comment!
Definitely the KTM and MT stand out winner’s for me!
Thanks for the comment!
which one did you end up with
Short and sweet,very informative
Glad you liked it!
I have a Gsx-s 125 with over 40 thousand miles on it and still running well
Just bought 2024 Pearl white cb125r ;) exited to go out

Very nice!
3650 seems pretty pricey for 12k miles tho plenty at 3k or below with less miles?

The mt125 doesn't touch 80mph with 16 stone sat on it. I'm lucky to get 65mph.
Yeah I noticed that my Ferrari doesn't go above 200mph when I have my pet walrus in the passenger seat, hoping they give me a refund...
What for? The ferrari or the walrus?
@@stevebee2865 I would never refund Walter!
@@armourdillo1236 🤣🤣👌🏻
I'm 16 stone on the straight road my mt 125 gets 75mph. And slightly down hill I have reached 84mph
Good lad, good review. Couldn’t agree more

If i was in the UK i would be scratching my head which one to get. I would go for the cb125r it looks so beautiful. The mt125 is good too

Any comparable electric motorcycles you could recommend?
Like the little lexmoto , looks like a svartpilen
nice list. Really can't decide between the CBR and the MT for my first bike for city uses.
MT is the better option
@@magnus1809 care to elaborate ? :) apparently the CB is more comfy but the MT got a little more punch for acceleration.

@@Hugo_clmt if fuel efficiency is a thing, can´t beat Honda on that field. Other than that, what BikeMatters said :)

The cb125r, the aprilia or the svartpilen. Can't choose.
Very tough choice!
What the best budget ones? Im wanting to get my first bike and anual insurance and gear. With the MT its 7k💀
Nice vid! I think lexmoto lsn can make it to the list
hi i am buying a new bike soon an i need help witch is better the honda cbr or the yamaha mt?

the only thing with sinnis you cant get parts for them as I own a sinnis and the factory has permanently closed
anyway , great video man !
Glad you enjoyed it!
Please do a vid like this in like 1 or 2 years again that’s when I can get a 125 cc mc in Sweden
Already have the gsx but thinking about getting the mt. Cant decide
What would you rank the Benelli BN 125 ?
We had it in for testing here, and could easily take a place on this list: ruclips.net/video/8Sl-LTlHT5E/видео.html&ab_channel=BikeMatters
Honestly my first bike: Benelli BN 125 was so damn phenomenal
Good video I think the italian swm varez should be in there
Thanks for the comment!
Number 10s exhaust are nice tbf! Paint those or is those was gun mental 💦
The aprilia has the most comfortable and large bike feel from the list.
The Lexmotos seem popular with the young fellas round here.
These are Ok, but I want a fireblade like yours now 😂 - nice to meet you at Halfords on Wednesday
I wish you all the best in finding a 954 too! 😂 Nice to meet you too!
I'd change the order of the list cause i think the ktm duke 125 is litterally the brother of the yamaha so it would be 2.nd at least
I just want a rlly good looking full sized v2 motorbike , same size as am mt 07 no big spaces just a bike for tall people i beg
How tall is tall for a motorbike tho?
i just bugth a KTM Duke 125, and it do not go 75mph, i can bearly make 60mph
If its new, its normal. After 1000km Will be better. (All bikes)
In a test drive comparation KTM Loose for cb125r Honda old model 2018
Maybe... zontes u1 125 ? ...
Definitely could have made the list!
God damn it. We're all the good bites in the UK like the Duke. I really want to find that bike but I live in the United States. I hate it here
My wife want a bike for work, she needs low seat height. I've always owned Japanese bike's since the late seventies.
Thanks for the comment!
Honda NO 1
where is a voge ?

The XSR125 takes the number one spot on our Retro 125cc Motorcycles video here: ruclips.net/video/x4u6gVmhs8U/видео.html&ab_channel=BikeMatters
Great video I’m about to get my first geared bike, I have about 7 options to narrow down to 1 😅
It's always difficult, if you can get to some dealerships to have a look (and a sit on) at bikes in the flesh it makes things easier!
I thought the lxr would be there people say it's to heavy but for the bigger guys I think its s good thing i can't stand the skinny 125 bikes
It may feature on our 2023 list of Best 125cc Sportbikes!
I hit 93mph on my friends gsxs125
The only bike here faster than my Honda MBX 50 LC of the 80's is the Yamaha, very strange.
Ktm duke is sexy, change mirrors and pimp up the exhaust (fully and not only slip on). Bro on god the girls will line up
Traction cntrol on a 125 bike is...too extra🤔
Have you ridden these bikes??
this is wild
Sinnis, made in China, likewise lexmoto. Zontes, just waiting to go wrong...
Bikes that small don’t need all that electrical mush, especially abs...The husky is ugly as heck....seems tech is the only requirement these days...obviously having USB ports is more important than the bike itself....
Only KTM Duke
The GSX is nice, but WHY that ugly front mask. Way to ruin a bike :D
Right?
Why do modern bikes look like toys
ΦΙΛΕ ΠΟΥ ΕΙΝΑΙ Η ΚΙΝΑ ;;;;
All of those top bikes you said after 1 year the bolts , cables handles and so on will be rusted .. LOW QUALITY PRODUCTS😮
I know that it is all a matter of taste, but i think all of these bikes are...ugly!
I wish commentators wouldn’t use the stupid phrase, Colour Ways. It’s just colour.
