Ohhh the memories.....first song ever "dedicated" to me from a boyfriend. Heading into sophomore year of HS 2001-2002. Still friends till this day and we are a few years into our 30s...can still joke about this song and can appreciate Lifehouse because they were and still are so overlooked and underrated .

He actually admitted to this being a song about his relationship with God, and says many of his songs were inspired that way. However I think he remains vague because of the music industry. People want to believe he's talking about a girl so they can relate. Most people don't have a relationship with God so they wouldn't feel as emotional to it. He did say though that it can be interpreted different ways.
