What's the cost for maids and cooks? How much does it cost to travel to the office daily in Bangalore? How much salary is enough to live in Bangalore? Is the water crisis affecting Bangalore? Is Bangalore the most expensive city to live in India? Why is Bangalore so expensive?
I have tried to cover all of these questions in this video. If you have any comments, please feel free to comment :)

I had an interview with HR in Banglore, She asked expected CTC I said 150% raise.
She said are you mad, who gives this much increment.
So I asked ok then give me remote work, She said our company allows only work from office and can give hybrid.
Then I said, are you mad? who will work in Banglore with these insane cost of living.
She blocked and probably blacklisted me.

You forgot the most important thing, flight ticket 6k + 6k =12k round trip. If you go home in 4 months then 3000 per month. 300 + 300 if by airport bus. If taxi then more than flight ticket 😂. So, 3000 + 200 = 3500 extra. Take that as 4000 in avg case. 40000 + 4000 = 44,000 if everything is fine. If health issue comes(hope not) then extra 6000 more depending on high class hospitals. So, total 50,000 per month.

    • @apoorvjoshi2383
      @apoorvjoshi2383 2 месяца назад +18

They arent, its one room shared with someone, even if its not shared its still too small. If you are fine with even that, then, there are way too many restrictions regarding visiting time for family and friends. Then there is food, a lot of PGs that give you cheap rooms, don't have decent food. Anyone who has not grown up eating South indian food will struggle here. Sure we all love the traditional food here, but there is a limit on how long people can go without missing their home cooked meals and food from their own native places. So there will come a point, where you would start ordering out, just to get that taste of your home. Not to mention, while south indian food here is amazing(i mean this is expected..you come to south you ll get the native food.."GOOD and AUTHENTIC" native food) but most PGs...no. Some restaurants(Darshini) may serve you nice meals, but PGs don't. Whats the point of having PG if at the end you end up spending outside(even if its a little).
So yep, unless you are a college student, or don't have money to opt for co-living space for "working professionals",PGs are fine. The most affordable yet comfy option is 2-3 BHK flat in sharing.

    • @prajju8114

i generally prefer not to reply to this kind of comments but :
I will explain you some things :
if you stay in a room which is more congisted chances of depression increases(claustrophobia)
if you eat same food daily ,chances are you will hate it (most of my friends eat outside (better to have a maid who cooks decent enough))
I initially used to think people are wasting money on swiggy and zomoto (but merako samaj me ayatha banglore me street side food is not so good (worse is good word))
now coming to the point of staying in PG's or near to office (better to have a vehicle and spacious room) and travel during the times of less traffic (come to office at 11 and go at 10(you 9 to 5 is a joke)))

I live in Bangalore in 2 sharing pg costs here Rs6500+1000maintenance one time +1000deposit one time which is refundable when you vacat with eating in company cafeteria with Rs5000 = total expenses = Rs11500 every month , if you live alone but if married and staying with family than it costs thrice or fourth also costs Rs50000 expenses with family staying in flats, so minimum requirement is Rs60000 every month than you stay happy in Bangalore otherwise not.

It all depend on the expenses dude, I worked in tier 3 city at 2.2LPA.
We rented a room kind of a big bungalow there were 4 big rooms which we got at 6k and we had 5 people.
We lived very close to office 6minutes walking so no transport cost.
All the malls were in 10min walking so no expenses on transport and even if it is 7km or something we used to walk.
We had a maid she took 2k, 2 times food for 5 people. Individual cost Rs 400
Yes we had almost no sabjis in our food bad that, we mostly used to cook rice and daal and sometimes some sabji of potato or cauliflower. Which costed us around 1000-2000 per month for 5 people so 200-500 per month for each person 😅
Individual office lunch sometimes costed around Rs500 per month.
Restaurants in weekend costed around Rs 500 mostly ate junk food might keep it to Rs 1000
      So in total
      1200 + 400 + 200 + 500 + 500 = Rs
      2800 per month

once in a while you will travel home by
Train up nd down it may come to 4K if you're travelling in A/C
    Flight can come to 6-7K
suppose if you fall in Love*
you will be spending somewhere 1k per week so 4 weeks = 4K ( extra)
suppose if your family members come to visit you - for 2 people you have to put them in a good hotel and takethem on sight seeing will approximately come to 20 - 25 K for a year divided per month comes to = 2K ( once a year they may come)
39,600 is your expenses which you have mentioned - without savings
Savings = 3k in Post office RD / 2k in 11 Months Gold chit / 5K with Mutual funds -
so as a fresher in IT with 6 Lakhs per annum this will suffice.
when you get Married and making a house in Bangalore and if your wife is not working -
    main expenses will be:
    Food
    Medicine
    Travel
    School fees*
School fees as of 2024 starts some where between 25k with a Public School to 5.00 Lacs in a Private or International school per Annum.
at 45* Most Techies have some type of Ailment in their Body - that you have to take care.
