That is a a very well done video, asweome stuff man! If you were to wire this into a guitar that i already wired a coil split, would you place this first into the circuit?
Glad you liked the video! I’m not sure “first into the circuit” would be the best way to describe it. Since the phase switch transposes the hot and ground conductors, it’s really at both the beginning and the end of the circuit. Does that make sense? But for your purposes I’ll say this: you can connect the hot and ground conductors to the phase switch as demonstrated in this video without removing or concerning yourself with the coil-split you already installed and it will still work. Hope this helps!
I think I understand your question. Are you talking about installing a phase switch on a Strat? If so, you would connect the middle pickup to the phase switch so that it could be used to change the phase relationships of both positions 2 and 4
@@tiasuzelac2794 if the pickups were hum-canceling before, they will no longer hum-cancel when out of phase. However if you’d like, I can make you a set of Strat pickups that do
You area an amazing teacher! This is exactly what I needed after days of reading and not getting it. Thanks!
So glad I could help! I love wiring mods and it’s exciting to meet other people who do too!

@@idlepickups thanks brother that does help alot.
Nice explanation, thanks.
Glad I could help!
But how would you do it with 2 pickups, like 4th position (middle and bridge pickup)? Where to connect second pickup?

@@idlepickups Yes it is a strat. So i can connect it with middle pickup because its used is both positions, 2 and 4. Is that correct?
@@tiasuzelac2794 yes, exactly
@@idlepickups Thank you a lot!!! One more question. Will it hum when out of phase?

1st I need a guitar with a humbucker, 2nd this, 3rd profit.
