    I actually really like the Joy-Cons. The way I normally play is using the joycons separate, so I can move my hands around independently while playing. Honestly prefer having my hands not being tied to the same place when playing games, I'd love to split my PS5 controller in half and have the same effect.
    I don't rlly like the plastic controller grip thing tho, I mean my biggest benefit to the Joy-Cons is NOT having them tied to a single thing so it just makes it an objectively worse controller x3

      Ya know after starting no more hero’s last night and some wario ware I can’t say that the joy cons don’t have their place because they certainly do and I don’t believe they need to go away I just have some issues when it comes to connecting them to the switch for handheld play, for everything besides first person games or games with an emphasis on aiming they do their job fairly well but when put in a position where they are thoughtfully used in gameplay they can make the experience just that much better

    Great video! Hope next console has thicker solid plastic, maybe not portable.

      @CaptainSNES  Месяц назад

      Thankyou! what's the issue with the plastic, besides with the og switch bending under hightemps? i think the oled feels very solid, the joy cons on the other hand... not as much. i definetly think it needs to portable but maybe without joycons, im in the prosses of making a video of what i think the switch 2 could be

    Nintendo should have made a oled switch lite . I personally loved the switch lite more . Although I do play the oled switch now because I play in handheld mode exclusively ! This was a great video btw very solid points !

    If you are buying a brand new Nintendo Switch joy cons, you have to pay $80 for them..😖

    • @CaptainSNES
      @CaptainSNES  Месяц назад +2

      I will say they have some cool uses but 80$ for something I have to crack open and baby from the second I get them is crazy

    "the perfect switch 2 is a switch lite that is dockable with an oled screen" i couldn't have said it better. also, streetpass would be awesome since the switch has an unused led in the home button so... maybe have that on the switch 2 be a streetpass detector? if they do have detachable joycons (which, i think they should tbh because its more generally appealing even if i dislike it) then you could just carry around your right joycon and get streetpasses. then, once you slide the joycon onto a system it uploads the streetpasses you collected kinda like a pokewalker

    • @CaptainSNES
      @CaptainSNES  Месяц назад

      I would LOVE to see street pass return, I think you would want the led in the system itself since I’d imagine that’s what the technology for that would be in (wouldn’t want to make the joycons more expensive). I recently went to a convention and brought my 3ds’s along and what a great experience that was to see that stupid green light agian. I also agree that love them or hate them joycons should be part of the next system purely for their versatility but I’d like to see them updated to not have these issues

    • @CaptainSNES
      @CaptainSNES  Месяц назад

      Okay after reading this a recondite and taking in the idea of a pokewalker joy on that sounds awesome but maybe make it an optional accessory, kinda reminds me of the how the wiimotes (while under utilized) had a save file function

    None of those ported games sold well at all on the Switch And no one who bought a Switch bought one to play those games.

    • @CaptainSNES
      @CaptainSNES  Месяц назад

      i cant 100% say that's true because i knew guys in high school that bought it just for dark souls and Skyrim but those 2 games aren't the offenders. if its true these games don't sell well then they are only there to make the switch look bad but i do believe there are a good amount of teens out there where their only console is a switch so they are getting these lesser quality ports

    I get you with the wobble. My old controllers would disconnect every 5 minutes and it was so hard to play any games. My family got me new ones for Christmas and they’ve recently started doing it again. It’s because I play the switch as a handheld more than anything but like, since that’s a feature and one of the ways they expect you to play with it, it ought to have been designed with that in mind.

    Glad to see you posting again.
    Nintendo struck gold on the switch on release with the concept alone, but like you said, replaying TotK and seeing how badly the performance is on my day one unit is abysmal, especially now that the steam deck is more or less a direct competition for the adult audience.
    Even if Nintendo doesn’t care about processing power, they need to make the successor powerful enough for their own titles if they want to continue their moniker of polished and fun games.

    • @CaptainSNES
      @CaptainSNES  Месяц назад

      For all we know the oled was supposed to be a switch pro but covid screwed it up, but if that was the case we woulnt be sitting here complaining about processing power, and it’s not so much the possessing power but the fact that no one is giving it thought to weather or not should put a game on switch but wether not they can, and while that does lead to better techniques in optimization it’s also leading to publishers pushing half baked ports

    I have a problem, the rails metal starting to show. What I mean is when over time you use the switch in handheld the black skin that are in the rail starts to peel off and you can see the metal which make it took ugly
