Mushroom Kingdom Fusion (MKF) is an unofficial, non-profit Super Mario Bros. fan-game crossed over with many other video game franchises like The Legend of Zelda, Mega Man, Sonic the Hedgehog, and more! You can play as Mario, Mega Man, Link, Luigi, Sonic, Tails, WaLuigi, Wario, and even more characters. Each character also has it's own abilities and power-ups!

The fact that the W7 warp was an entire self-contained level instead of the standard pipe or lock and key shows how much dedication the devs put into making their game unique.
The current devs are doing their best to clean up like ten years of code and level messes, they are doing amazing.
Heya, one of the MKF devs here. Thank you for doing another episode on Mushroom Kingdom Fusion! That W7 exit is just the beginning. Expect some mind blowing fusion action once you get to W2 and beyond!

First of all, *_YES_* we need more vids.
Having said that, I have a fair bit of insight to provide - have a seat, because there's a *lot* to discuss:
Some levels' secret exits can _only_ be accessed by getting all 8 red coins, so you will have to start hunting them down at some point. For now, though, it's mainly just money or power-ups as a reward.
Most characters get a Hammer Suit, including Waluigi, who turns into Foreman Spike from Wrecking Crew. Something you need to be aware of when you die as Waluigi - he loses all the coins you're currently holding. Which kinda sucks if you were at 99 if you bit the bullet. The same is also true of Wario.
The fact you fought Robotnik/Eggman in this game should clue you in that it's called Mushroom Kingdom _Fusion_ for a reason - and there's plenty more ways in which games cross over here.
You may have noticed some characters like Simon, Mega Man and Arthur have their "reserve item" box replaced with two boxes - such characters can actually swap between their equipped special weapons (Roll has this type of setup as well, but it's a bit iffy). The controls menu should tell you how to swap between items on such characters (failing that, it's most likely the "drop reserve item" button) - the Blue square is your active weapon, while the Red square is your reserve.
Roll's Bass Suit (the purple suit with the winged helmet) can actually fire in any direction (including downwards, possibly, but I'm not 100% sure) - however, she loses the ability to fire charged shots as a result. And her flight suit can also call Tango (a robotic cat) who can be used as a springboard!
Classic Mario and Classic Luigi are only for the masochistic - you only get access to your Super Mushroom, Fire Flower and Super Leaf if you choose either of them. And taking damage as them reverts you straight to their small forms, so you have at _most_ two hits with either of them.
Finally, you saw you could unlock Vile and Zero with 50,000 Rupees in the previous vid - there's a good reason for that. Vile and Zero (and _especially_ Zero) are absolutely *_BROKEN._* They're so powerful that they don't get any powerups other than a stackable flight boost that replaces the Super Leaf. However, this game itself does _not_ hold back as you progress, either, so you may want to wait until you've got the cash to get them.

Thank you so much for bringing this game to my attention. I used to follow this game as a kid. It actually got cancelled at some point, so I didn't know the project was revived. Finding out the most recent update was Christmas of last year was also a pleasant surprise. XD

Yes more awesomeness. I still cant believe this is a fan game. I love seeing angry sun, and Tails. It was cool you could fly with him. It was nice to see different characters like Waluigi.The change of levels was cool, loved Waluigi in Sonic .Thank you for showing more. So much good stuff been shown lately, I have enjoyed all your videos. So hard work and dedication. Just epic. Thank you BGT. I am working my way through the Retro nights i missed and the Sunday streams too.

I played one of the betas of that game years ago. They had a halo and doom world. I don't know if they kept it. They also has a halo power up. Mario turned into master chief and when hit he will not loose the power up just as long as he did not take damage forna few seconds. Link was the arbiter from halo roll was a hunter

Castlevania aria of sorrow and dawn of sorrow are the best of the castlevania games imo
For the Castlevania part, that item is usually either called the cross, or sometimes boomerang, pending localization, the game, and censoring. You playing through a Castlevania game would be really cool, Symphony of the Night is generally considered really amazing, but for a first play through it can be a pretty long game, though it's super worth it. I personally like even the 3D Castlevanias, but over all most of the 2D, especially the Metroidvania style ones are usually more popular and will i would guess maybe be better for views. Great video btw.

The boomerang thing Simon has is called a Cross. The knife is a Dagger. The "Up 3 Moons" are called Kudos Moons because you have to go out of your way to find them. The robot you fought in Oil Ocean is Egg Robo.

You have a fire shield & yet something made of fire (or atleast something similar) like the angry run can hurt you, plus despite your shield being an elemental shield but not a bubble shield, water doesn't destroy the shield, that doesn't make any sense i mean... You have it being used by either a fast as hedgehog or a flying 2 tailed fox & the shield itself is made of fire, but even with sonic logics that doesn't really make sense

This game seems really fun to play! It's a shame all these cool projects have to have such inconsistent artwork but I'm sure it's just a lack of experience on the developer's parts.
I am blown away by this game
The development to this game has switched hands a lot. The inconsistent sprite work is also on purpose with this title, as each element is supposed to look like it came from it's own universe
That makes a lot of sense actually.

Definitely is the Holy water. The boomerang-y one is the cross ;) I love Castlevania. I'd say the entire series is amazing except for Lords of Shadow 2 that suck really hard... Also NES ones can be a little rough for some. Other than that, even the over-bashed underrated 3D titles are amazing IMO! For non-fans, to get a good all-around look in only a few games here's my recommendation (if you ever want to get a small grasp for the series Darby, that's for you 😜) :
2D action : SC4 or Rondo of Blood (SC4 if you want more linear old-school arcade, Rondo for something a little longer and a bit more "involved", not in the bad way though)
Metroidvania : Symphony of the Night and Order of Ecclesia
3D : Curse of Darkness

I don’t know how you didn’t notice the red coin you got on the sun part lol there is newer super Mario bros hack on wii with I think 2 suns on 2 levels that was more insane than that as tails you can roll into dry bones and kills them happy to see you play more

Third episode I really want.
Tried the game but cannot get past the map screen into level 1. Unpacked the 7z folder no problem but after hitting every key possible on the keyboard, especially the ones I set to control the character. Nothing comes up except the quit screen (which even that I cannot confirm) and the character, options, etc. screen. What am I doing wrong?
