Being a Sarawakian I am proud of our current leader (YAB Premier) who has the vision for Sarawak. He is the prime mover of Sarawak development.
When Sarawak politically united and no racial/religious tension like in Semanjung our leader can focus on human capital development as well.
No other state in Malaysia has Post-Covid Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030.

Today most of the projects like bridges for coastal areas costing RM20 billion, Water RM4.2 billion, Electricity for rural areas RM2.4 billion and other infrastructures is using Sarawak Government Money not from Federal Government. Sarawak is the only state in Malaysia paying back PTPTN loan RM90.42 million for Sarawak students. When PKR became Government few years ago many projects stop in Sarawak that is why today Sarawak Government doesn't want to use money from Federal Government because it will slow down development in Sarawak...

Hi Dr. OKM and Mr. Money, I have some comments on this episode.
With regards to Sarawak claiming their rights, why last time don't claim? I think OKM has answered part of it, that the late Tun Taib is busy governing Sarawak his way. I would add on that he is partly involve in passing the PDA 1976 as an MP back then. Secondly, Tun Wan Junaidi also mentioned during his interview with KS that Sarawak only starts claiming the rights under MA63 after the federal government repeal ISA and emergency proclaimation in 2011. It is not worth to venture into MA63 only to be detain under ISA or any of the emergency power that the federal government has at that time.
Another reason I think is that prior to 2018 election, the Sarawak component party is under BN, and they are subjected to certain controls by the strong BN component party and have to adhere to party direction. The late Datuk Patinggi Adenan lay the ground work for reclaiming rights under MA63 which then continued by Abang Joe.
On DAP and PKR in Sarawak, I personally feel that the current DAP assembliment is lack of capacity to build bridges between the state and federal government. If you are able to look at the DUN hansard or watch the DUN session, you will understand. Still shouting like opposition instead of laying good ground works in Sarawak. We definitely need some quality Adun just like OKM and Dr Kellvin Yii.

Kuala Lumpur declared a state of emergency in Sarawak on September 14, 1966, aiming to remove Stephen Kalong Ningkan as Sarawak first chief minister.
The Emergency (Federal Constitution and Constitution of Sarawak) Act 1966 granted the Sarawak governor absolute legislative powers, bypassing the advice of the chief minister.
The crisis revolved around issues of state autonomy and federal interference
The May 13, 1969 riots in Malaysia had significant implications for Sarawak’s oil and gas rights.
During that period, the country was under a state of emergency, and the government enacted the Petroleum Development Act 1974 (PDA).
Under the PDA, Sarawak’s oil rights were granted away without the consent of its people.
The emergency proclamations in Sarawak continue until 2011
The PDA’s validity remains a topic of discussion between Sarawak and the federal government. Here’s why:
*State of Emergency: The PDA was enacted during a state of emergency in 1974. Parliament was suspended, and the entire country was under a caretaker government.
While the emergency was lifted in 2011, some argue that legislation passed during that period may no longer be valid.
*Oil Royalties: Sarawak seeks higher oil royalties. The current 5% royalty is considered insufficient. Sarawak’s annual oil and gas revenue could exceed RM70 billion
*Sarawak asserts that the Oil Mining Ordinance 1958 (OMO), not the PDA, governs its oil and gas rights. The OMO predates the PDA and remains relevant for Sarawak.

To OKM, i think there's some flaw in the justification
    1. If the logo is there is not for promoting, then why is it needed to display? I guess we do need to be honest with ourselves here.
    2. If a thing is wrong and it has been doing all the time, does that automatically become OK/right to do so? If a guy has been caught doing illegal turning and his justification is he has been doing that for years without issue, does that become legal?
I believe majority of those disagree on the brewery donation wasn't against on charity or donation to the school but do think some "censorship" need to be taken as this is a "school" event which many of us know . Unfortunately many double standard practitioners only see narrowly see this as people trying against SKJC donation (hence no discussion).
Personally I've no issue with it (since it is conducted out of school premises) but i do agreed should have to be more sensitive given it is a school charity event, which will have children's and MP's attending it. I think OKM mistaken that those against it are actually against brewery donation event. It is more to brewery sponsored/donation school event with logo promoting it (keep us honest)
We also can't deny that if today this doesn't go viral today, potentially we might have the same thing from other not healthy organization since is is under the radar and started become "has been doing all the time". Ultimately we all have the same objective (hopefully so) is trying to have non healthy product influence next gen.
I also disappointment with OKM label this as culture and religions thing. Many if my SKJC friends doesn't agree with these and we are Chinese. Discussion welcome

Unfortunately we cannot have a discussion without politicising the beer issue. To me, this isn’t actually a race/religion issue. Im not Malay or Muslim but I am also not supportive of the presence of Beer companies in schools incl in indirect charity events. If it were not for the politicking we could have had a more mature discussion on a compromise guideline e.g. allowing donations from beer companies including naming these companies, but no logos and other forms of advertisements. Maybe some of the non muslim dont know what is the laws in Islam for Islam people regarding Beer ..
10 groups (cursed in Islam) involved with alcohol mentioned in the hadith from the Prophet
      1. The pressers of alcohol: that is, workers who carry out the work of pressing fruits such as grapes for the purpose of producing it.
      2. Asking for alcohol to be served for him: This means that the employer/manager of a company that hires several workers in their factory to work as production operators is engaging in prohibited actions. Thus, it is unlawful for the workers.
      3. Alcohol drinker: A person who drinks alcohol even if it's just a drop / not drunk / just trying. That act is forbidden.
      4. Wine bearer: It can refer to a server in a restaurant/eating place/hotel, etc., or it can also refer to a truck driver who transports wine from one place to another.
      5. Requesting to be brought alcohol means someone who orders alcohol either to drink or to keep as a collection. Therefore, that action is forbidden.
      6. Giving alcohol to someone else means a person who provides drinks to others even though they do not consume it themselves, for example: a Muslim treats a non-Muslim friend to drink alcohol in a certain place.
      7. Seller of alcohol: Can be defined as the owner of a shop/restaurant who sells alcohol to customers even if he does not consume it; that act is also forbidden.
      8. A person who gains from alcohol: A broader and more varied scope can be said to include any activity related to alcohol as being haram, for example: Security guards who oversee safety of alcohol products.
      9. A person who buys alcohol is someone who buys alcohol whether for drinking or not. Therefore, that act is forbidden.
      10. A person who asks to be bought alcohol: Refers to someone who asks another person to buy alcohol for them for a specific reason. For example, a Muslim asking a non-Muslim friend to buy it for them.
These are some of the laws are meant for Muslim people and in Malaysia, some muslim they just give and take for the sake of the community harmony but most of Muslim strictly follow this rules. Just to share for all.

With Singapore 1965 secret exit and betrayal , the balance of power is gone at Federal Parliament level and Rahman Yakub took over as the UMNO invisible hand in Sarawak . NOW It is the balance of power in Sarawak which makes multi racial policy works .Sarawak and Sabah have long been robbed and negelcted of our rights and it is time to DEMAND it back . We want full reinstatement of MA63 right , which has been long neglected and overdued .

To some, it seems that liquors practically guarantee your fate as drunkards? Drinking liquor in practically all regions where they have to go through winters. I used to ask a close friend who had been sailing across the Atlantic Ocean during the winter about keeping away from strong liquor. He replied that with a "se-tengah", he would not be able to survive. I had never saw him getting out of "control"; though om one occasion, a lady across our table was staring at him and I told to "slow" as it would that she was ready to confront him. His reply " I hope she doesn't! I am ready to slap her to interfere with my life!"

We were unsure when Abg Jo came in power but now most sarawakians are backing him up. Its true there are things we dislike or disagree about him, but overall he has been putting the walk to his talks.
In Federal level though, those who have supported the oppositions during the past we still prefer PKR-DAP, but for State most have shifted towards GPS.
The DAP leaders here although not all, are only busy bad mouthing and arguing about things rather than talking sensibly which brings a bad taste to us Sarawakians. So its true, they have to change but im sad to say, those who have stucked with these old habits won't be able to change, only the younger DAP leader(s) have shown improvements in this matter.

When an Atheist sees how a Muslim dressed up, he/she doesn't go against it. So turn it around, now Muslim must go against kids having exposure to beer? The thing is far right religious people's (be it Christian/Muslim) mindset growing up is equating alcoholic drinks to steal, murder, rape. One without exposure won't realize that "oh drinking/gambling can actually be controlled". Faith is personal. We can't deny this, but if we want to be progressive and Madani, any religious persons must use their own judgement in today's world to differentiate (1) what are the flexible guidelines in the past historical context, and (2) what are the fixed core values, such as humility / love your neighbour.

For e.g. Muslims who are transporting, selling, managing beer, the sin is the same as drinking it even if one is not consuming the alcohol, only managing it. Hence why we dont want to involve in any event whatsoever when these company has their hands/money in it. You can proceed with the event/program, but a good Muslims who are aware of this will not attend such events. But we will not stop you from doing it. It'll only be a problem if you proceed with it without informing us, and our kids attended the event, that's where the problem will come.

I do agree his point is very good for Sarawak but GPS and abg jo been in office for so long, look at the progress, and what he said, got confident or not? Menteri wayang saja itu. It doesn't take a person with a degree nor HS diploma to know the practicality/feasibility of hydrogen, it's a waste of money, too expensive to produce very small energy and a just another 1MDB scam again. Taib/Abg jo, no difference.

    • @Unknown-pp7wi

@Unknown-pp7wi bro, simple science, hydrogen is not sustainable energy. U need so much water and energy to produce it. Even storing them is expensive and dangerous. O&G in 15 years will be the same, still way cheaper. It takes a whole century for O&G to finish. Electric energy is sustainable. EV are practical but not hydrogen. It is a cool energy but not feasible. Sarawak is too poor to take these advancements, damm look at ur basic development, we dont eve have skilled workers, our wages are soo low. Do basics before exploring rocket science..btw that 20B for dam is sick project lah. Cmon lah anyone can talk, doing it is a far stretch. Im personally involve in this wayang² project. Macam 1mdb scam in the making.
