When BJ started out with the band the Triumphs in his teens we got to hear him in East Bernard, Texas in the Riverside Hall where we got to listen & dance to BJ singing! BJ’s voice hasn’t changed a bit the only difference he didn’t have any great hits yet! But BJ sang great oldies we all loved his music! Hooked on a feeling is one of my all time favorites but you can’t go wrong with Raindrops keep falling on my head! BJ has one of those beautiful voices you can listen to for hours! BJ Thank You for the wonderful memories! Rest In Heavenly Peace BJ 🙏
BJ was a very nice man. My daughter and I went to many shows and became friends with him. He loved Gloria and his daughters so much Was very respectful to me, since I am an older fan. I am just a few years younger than he was. He was also very kind to my daughter. She used to take some of the pictures that she took at shows. We always got front row seats and enjoyed the show so much. His band was a group of great guys. Sure miss going to the show. My daughter passed a few years before BJ did. I am sure she is enjoying hearing BJ sing up there in heaven
I saw him in New Jersey in AC. Always that voice. He kept asking us if we were having a good time, like he didn't believe it. i felt bad for him. He was great!
"Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head","Hooked On A Feeling ","Just Can't Help Believing ","Hey Won't You Play Another Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song "and "Eyes Of A New York Woman
I've seen him live a few times. What an amazing singer! My wife got his autograph on a picture. RIP Billy Joe Thomas. Rock n Roll Lullabye may be my fave. But so many amazing songs.
A Burt Bacharach number made raindrops more pensive in styles of lyrics, and made it look picture perfect for the soundtrack to butch cassidy and the Sundance Kid. A perfect combination if you can believe it.
Saw BJ exit a Reno casino door after finishing his gig, circa early 1990s. I was way far away and brusquely elbowed through the floor room crowd. He had what appeared to be a bodyguard to his left and right. He was holding a folded up newspaper, had very deep lines on his face, and I said, "BJ! I got all your Christian albums and still listen to them." - he looked kinda dazed and mumbled lowly as I avoided blocking his access. No offense, loved the man's music.

I grew up to all his song and my late husband looks just like him, blue eyed blond, dimples, teeth, smile, Western wear but was a drummer. ❤ 🇨🇦

No one mentioned the Brazilian jazz album "Once I Loved". Honestly it was amazing.
