So glad I’ve found your channel! I just joined PF and the first time I went I felt out of touch and ridiculous. I had no idea what to do or how the equipment even worked. I found your channel doing a search in the parking lot. I chose the treadmill because I knew I couldn’t screw that up. Your other videos gave me the confidence to try some of the weight machines. Now I’m sore but optimistic about my future workouts. Thanks for putting this out there! It gave me so much confidence and now I feel like I’m not alone in my naïveté of workout culture.
Yes! I’m new to your channel. Thanks for your great videos. I’m finding them so helpful. I’m new to the gym midlife after having an extremely active childhood then taking a break to have kids. After finding difficulty with chronic pain I’ve decided to be intentional about going to the gym for the first time in my life. Thanks for the encouragement and sharing your knowledge. I walk the treadmill for a warm up then move to the elliptical for more intense cardio workout for low impact training due to acute on chronic back and ankle pain.
Thank you! Haven't been in the gym for years, and my right knee is ruined because of the military. Started up today and the treadmill and I'm hurting.Going on the elliptical next time!
literally every google result for "which burns more, elliptical or treadmill" says treadmills burn more than elliptical, except for one, which says it's about the same. Speaking from personal experience, every one of each that I've used has me burning calories at a significantly higher rate on the treadmill than the elliptical, when factoring my body weight into the equation. The calorie counters aren't perfectly accurate, but they track both with those search results, and with my perceived exertion. If you have a source which supports your position, I'd like to see it.
@@dkroll92 i don't know about which burns the most calories, but i've tested both a good amount of times and i would say that i feel much more "tired" after 15 minutes of elliptical VS 15 minutes of treadmill

That’s so great
I'm a elliptical fan due to the less stress on my knees since they need to be replaced after running for 20 years.
Definitely a good reason to use the elliptical! Hope your knees get better soon!
Have you tried the rower
I tried it a couple of times but still like the feeling of simulated running motion.
@@franzlavigne3859 the rower is my go-to machine. 23 years in the military of running. My knees are shot

For me, the elliptical is cause Im not doing no more jogging. Im taking it easy on my body since Im getting older and preserving my legs etc.
I often use the treadmill but I switch to elliptical when my knees need some rest
what would be better so u sweat more and increase metabolism and heart rate and burn calories this or a treadmill
thats a easy one :)
You burn more calories on a elliptical than a treadmill

@@fredericaube7636that's probably because you're more used to the treadmill. For me it's the opposite.
