I'm a trucker, dad was a trucker, grandfather was a trucker, I grew up on this.
My daddy was a trucker this song takes me back to when he use to sing and play the guitar when he would come home . He would do this song , he and momma she would play the piano . There’s a second part of this song you guys gotta hear it .

@@theswolemates...I will leave it as I prefer the vast majority of other reaction videos where honest and thus sometimes emotional reactions are given...just like many of those commenting here who honestly admit to tearing up. I thought the whole point and popularity of reaction videos was that they are supposed to provide honest reactions and not fake/covered up reactions. Red Sovine had another hit with Phantom 309 and because it is spooky, those posting reaction videos show that they are spooked as do those commenting but I guess you would cover up your true feelings by grinning and smiling again. SMH. If you showed your true emotions you would attract a much larger and sympathetic number of comments and subscribers...but maybe you don't care. Puzzling.
@@9284vr we don't fake anything. This was our honest reaction for the frame of mind we were in at the time. If you want more emotion watch our reaction for backyard lullaby by Demun Jones or gang gang by Nova Rockefeller or nutshell by upchurch or dreams by Brandon Hart. We don't fake our reactions. We're not gonna put on a show of crying and boo hooing if that's not what we're feeling at the time. The people that watch us regularly know this about us. Check those out or don't but don't accuse us of being fake because we're not
@@theswolemates...Nobody would expect you to "put on a show of crying" (you must be implying that other reactors do that) but what you fail to explain is why you would do the exact opposite...you do not explain why or how you would be in a "frame of mind" to react to such a sad song with smiles and laughter. As one of your other commenters here said (Daryl S) "I must say this is the first time I've seen anyone laugh at this song." Maybe you were on a happy drug for this song (just kidding) or just had some good booze but I hope you can be in a more suitable neutral serious frame of mind when you next react to a very moving emotional sad song. I do know that you can show your honest emotions as I just watched your tribute video to a brother who you lost and I am so sorry for your loss. I also just read your Description under "About" in your channel and better understand you as I see one of your comments there is that you entertain yourselves by "recording ourselves being dumb lol". I guess as long as your object is to just have fun you might not care as much as other RUclips reactors as to whether you always attract big numbers of supportive commenters and subscribers especially if they have not read your Description. @@9284vr another thing you need to understand about this reaction specifically is that the person who requested it was trying to get us emotional on purpose and we went into it knowing that and that's why you got the reaction you did. Its the relationship we have with our people in our live streams.

I've loved this song for ever... but as I grow older I can't help finding the grown men hanging out with a boy without his parents consent and... the whole phrasing of "take me turn at giving Teddy a ride" just makes me feel a little weird now.

My thoughts exactly, 9284vr! I've heard part 2, on many occasions. If they can sit and laugh and giggle at that, they need to lay off weed before taping. There's nothing humorous about this song. It is heart-rending.
this is a gut wrenching song yes.. the laughter is concerning an inside joke with the viewer that requested it. We had both already heard it and knew it was sad. The viewer in question is a friend that was trying to get us emotional, so to mess with him we simply didn't let it. We chose instead to be funny. Something the viewer that requested it appreciated. He's a "heckler" on our channel and a friend so we chose to "heckle" back.

No it's not.. its a very sweet song tho. A viewer requested this specially to get us in our feels because we tend to be emotional people. Just so happens we didn't let it get to us because both of us had heard it before and knew what was coming.. our laughs are concerning the viewer that requested it, a long time friend, not the song itself.
