January 1st 2020, I was introduced to Rip and his amazing family, after watching Forks Over Knives. I was 26 with a resting blood pressure of 145/90. Not long before, I had come to learn that my father was diagnosed with an enlarged heart - I saw the path I was heading down, and realized that seeing that documentary came at a perfect time in my life. I’m almost 30 years old, life has been a bit rocky, but everyday that I wake up, I’m thankful to have my #1 asset on a much better track. Now my blood pressure sits around a comfortable 110/69, and I’m hoping to keep it there or lower it more in time. I’m not sure where life will take me, but wherever I go, and whatever I do, I will always be thankful to people like Rip, and his amazing family. Thank you so much Rip, Essie, Ann, and Jane. You’re changing lives. Thank you so much Jeff for bringing this together.
I enjoyed every minute of this. I have been going back and forth with a plant based diet for a while now. Watching this inspires me to get serious and make this my only way to eat. Thanks Rip, Jeff and Dr. Liz
I really admire these people for being willing to take the challenge. When we see the dramatic, positive impact that eating plants, has on our health, it becomes easier to embrace this way if eating. Happened to me in 1997 and I'm still plant strong!.
Excellent! I am so happy and grateful to be 100% plant-based. It has changed my life in so many positive ways. No longer pre-diabetic, now enjoying normal blood pressure, total cholesterol dropped from 263 to 168, lost 35 pounds that needed to go, inflammatory aches and pains gone. I LOVE the food and the lifestyle! Thank you to you, Jeff, and Rip and all the wonderful plant-based advocates. You are positively changing a world that sorely needs changing!
Incredibly inspiring. I just love going to my overweight non plant based doctor and showing him my blood work that is perfect, regardless of my past triple bypass surgery, Type 1 Diabetes and all the pills that I was forced by the hospital to take after my surgery. He is truly amazed every time, but sadly not flexible enough to try to make that difference for himself and promote the idea to his patients who are sadly brainwashed into thinking that "old age" is the root cause of their health issues. Thank you Rip and VegSource for always working hard to spread this good word. Cheers! M
I've found that personally for me the low fat works much better, with a noticeable difference both at a "feel" level and the real (blood work) level. I have a much more lean and and tighter looking physique as well. Thank you for the support!@@annelewis7435
Great movie Jeff - well done 👏🥰Thanks to you and Rip Esselstyn 🌱💪❤️ I've been vegan for the last 10 and a half year 💪 As a ultramarathon runner, I approve this message 🥳🙂
Here’s my story as I’ve been on the carnivore diet eating good quality meats, grass fed grass finished and my arthritic pain was a daily 6-7 and after going WFPB SOS for a month my pain is now a 1-2 and I’m able to walk normally. Funny thing is my m finding doctors telling me differently. Well I’m listening to my body so thanks for all you do
It's wonderful to see how having a critical mass of personal support around you can successfully overcome years of bad habits and unhealthy commercial foods.
Rip's ideas worked for me. I am an imperfect follower, but got tremendous results. I halved my total cholesterol (formerly 291), LDL now below 100, A1C well below diabetic threshold and triglycerides 64 (should be below 150). Bad family history, My tastes really did change. The most important change I made was to cut out the CRAP (Jeff Novick's acronym for "calorie rich and processed"). That was key to reduce cravings.
I was obese all of my life. I would lose and gain for years. I have lost 57 lbs with 20 lbs to go and never hungry. I don't crave bad sweets. Usually I would've been on my way back up to over 200 lbs at 5' 2" tall. My cholesterol was 230. My doctor sent a prescription of statins for me to take. Changing my way of eating never came out of her mouth, but I was watching every video and reading every book about healing with plants. I never took the pills and my cholesterol levels went down so much. I am 63 years old I have so much energy. More than my kids or grandkids. I'm sure my cholesterol is even lower now.
I have just subscribed to you ! 💙💯🙏 Ty to @Peter Rogers MD for mentioning you !! I look forward to your videos on nuts, I was eating quite a few, as I like nuts, esp pistashios, roasted cashews, pecans. my cognitive function has gone down in recent years and I'm concerned. I like Dr Rogers videos, and am eating more beans, potatoes, corn, rice. I assume we don't really need seeds or nuts !??
I'm also 12 years going on 13 years plant-based nutrition and it's the best decision for life. For 12 years now I only visit the doctor once a year for checkups and standard physicals. Plant-based nutrition has helped me lose weight and keep my health in top condition. "The quest is for good health, fulfillment, and longevity'... quote from the book The Fountain of Youth Lifestyle!
I’m almost 2 months ❤ vegan and I’m proud of myself I feel more energetic I feel weight coming off slowly but surely 😊 and my skin is radiant 😮❤ I feel sexy again
Hi Jeff, this is Satyaki from India. I want to purchase the graphology course of Andrea Ma'am without using credit card. Could you please help me? I want that $150 combined course with books. Could you please suggest other way to pay? and one more thing, by which time could I get access of all the videos and books? Because you see, $150 is very big amount to spent. I am a graphologist and I want further knowledge. I need those lectures and books. But I want a confirmation about the payment and all. Hope you'll help. Thanks.
I love these posts but also frustrating. I’ve been a plant strong/forks over knives/engine 2 eater for over 5 years and my cholesterol is still 248. I exercise every day and am 5’3” and 110. Not sure what else I can do 😢
In my opinion, you need to be evaluated by a pro. Have you considered Dr. Mcdougall’s program? Going to a medically supervised Program could get to the bottom of this, I feel certain.
I eat very high carb very low fat, no overt fats at all. As low fat as you get. My total cholesterol was 184 and LDL 106 on my last blood test. Ironically, I had many total cholesterol numbers below 150 when I wasn't 100% plant based but still very low fat. While 100% plant based, I've always been between 160-200, never under 150.
Also worth noting - people use studies like the Korean association study to try to say that "your cholesterol can be too low!" But that's bs. When people get cancer, their cholesterol goes down in the last 5 to 15 years of life. Cancer victims of often lose their appetite, lose weight, their cholesterol goes down. And then they die. It wasn't their cholesterol going lower that did anything, that was just a symptom of their cancer. So when you see an association study that sees an U-curve, you have to understand what you're looking at - cholesterol levels of people dying in the hospital of various diseases. The low cholesterol was in no way a cause of death, but it prevents cardiovascular death, as the researchers noted in the Korean study and adjusted for. So yes, you want to get your TC low, and don't rely on association studies that have no way of indicating cause and effect.
Im a type 1 diabetic. Carnivore saved my life. Plants are poison. Carbs are just sugar amd the neutrients are less bio available than anything already in animal form. Especially eggs, steak and liver. Whipping cream in the coffee. Hope this helps.
@dj-fe4ck we didn't have processed sugar until the start of the Atlantic slave trade. We evolved on meat, we developed cultivation, and nothing we invented is an essential nutrient. Sugar is the cause of most of our illness today.

Did I mention that I don't take any of the pills anymore? ...since 2014 Plant based strong and haven't looked back at all.

Went vegetarian in 1999 and vegan 12 years later and never looked back. It is an all around win for health, the animals, and the environment.
Love this! So excited to see a new video/movie. Very inspiring. Recently started a WFPB lifestyle. Follow all of you great people.
the most important message on the planet !!
So inspired by this community!

Nice
15:15 I'm curious as to whether or not the Mayor ever participated or made any changes since so many more adventures occured ✨️ This was great
Rip kicked a$$ compared to the best athletes at the school and none of them participated. Wow! What a sad state of affairs
Cool
Why won't Rip interview Peter Rogers MD?

What is the blueberry dumpster fire recipe?
PlantStrongMovie.com - It’s there.
You guys should hook up with Jason Kelce so he could keep playing 🤷🏻♀️
What ever happened to your vegan products in Whole Foods?
In my local one they still sell some of their products but not a lot of them. I believe you gotta go to his website and order off of there
I believe the products got phased out when Amazon bought WFoods.

You are making sure you are dying faster inside long term.
That's wonderful that carbs are sugar. Sugar is probably the most important nutrient after water.
I wouldn't eat any kind of high fat low carb diet under any circumstances. Not even for 1 trillion dollars.
