Kasparov's vision was so good it was almost unbelievable. He could see outcomes many moves ahead and just led his opponent down the road to ruin long before anything seemed wrong. Many of Garry's moves that seem AMAZING to us mere mortals were simply foregone conclusions to him. 😮
Echoes of Marshall’s classic Queen sac combo. Kasparov’s exchange sac for just development is noteworthy. Who among us would have done so when the compensation is not obvious… though the lead in development is. Good game, interesting analysis. Thanks for posting, Cheers!
Very entertaining analysis of a very entertaining game, thanks as always ChessDawg. Video idea: i would love to see you discuss who you consider the top five or six chess players in history, how you rank them, how they compare, and why. Have a great 2025!
watching centralizing those bishops plus the queen isnt a chess game, it's a festing where sharks are devouring his meat. As white maybe not risking the queen and moving the kind could have being help.
Gary Chess Kasparow in his career had a wonderful strength of 2709 elo at his peak while the other grandmasters was 2620 elo at max. He also invented the "en passant" move when playing in French 1910, the latest update to the game. These two facts make him an absolute legend ans some people even consider him being the all time best.
Yes, as I see it on the board from the video, pausing the position, it seems good! And in case Ra-b1 Rb3-g3, Qa6-b7 Rg3:g2+ , Kg1-h1 Rg2:f2+ , Qb7:d5 Be6:d5+
I’m a good judge of character. For example, I bet you are good at chess, have a good amount of precious metals and store a nice collection of “home defense tools”.
Love your commentary and choice of games. But you’re falling behind times with your needlessly shrunk board. See more modern boards at Gotham Chess, Dr Mike Chess, Agadamator … They all maximize square size via smarter labeling which makes big difference in following the games. I didn’t realize it either until I saw the board shown the right way.

A beautiful game by the great Kasparov. Thanks John

Excellent! That bishop pair is monstrous!
Wow, talk about pin city! That has got to be the coolest thing I've seen in a long time.
Another great game. Thanks dawg.
I really enjoy your explanation of various players and games. The clarity and insights you have are excellent. Thank you
You can never have too much of Gary.

The final part oc tbis game is reminiscent of Marzhall's Immortal!

Open position against Kasparov with a bishop pair is a nightmare to defend.
What a "fireworks" of moves !
Excelent game Thank You
When it comes to chess tactician only two names come on my mind. It's Kasparov and Bobby Fischer
I would also add Alekhine, Lasker and Tal.
I would also add Lasker, Alekhine, Tal and Spassky.
Bareev was a fantastic player at his time.
The new guys have no clue how good this guy was 😂❤
admit didnt see Rg3 move at all and its beatiful

Lol, what a pile of nonsense. AI generated?
9:13: if Rab1, why not … Rg3 anyway? Rb8+ Kg7 doesn’t seem to help White’s cause.

He’s an entrepreneur of Chess here to relay some great chess to the rest of us fanatics
I can respect that
Can you review Capablanca vs Fonaroff 1918
Daaaaaamn
Back in the day, Kasparov was something else. Compared to his tactical brilliances, the Carlsen era feels almost as a letdown.
great stuff from Kasparov , but even i (2000 on a good day) could see a4 was terrible
Yes, but suggest another move. All moves looked crap to me. 😂
A4???😂
first
