Lisa will forever be number 1 to me,what Umbrella did to her was something diabolical and sadistic, Lisa is one of the most tragic characters in any videogame ever.
I played 7 then 8 so Donna was the saddest character & I didn’t think any game would have tug more at my heart, then I saw Lisa. I cried when I found out her story. I wish I could have chosen to save her.
@@annegrey6447 With how deformed, mutated and utterly broken both physically and mentally she was by the time of Resident Evil I do not think it would be possible to save her at that point. The worst part of it all is that she has the strongest regeneration out of any other B.O.W. in the entire franchise, stronger than even the likes of Jack Baker and Alcina Dimitrescu. So when she tried to end it all after learning that her mother is long dead, she survived the fall and healed very quickly - making it impossible for her to even end her own suffering. In the end it took a nuke to finally kill her as it destroyed every cell of her body, finally giving her the rest she deserved.
The only people that may have gotten it just as bad as Lisa are the children of the Raccoon City orphanage. Not much is known about them aside from the fact that the orphanage was a literal trafficking ring for Umbrella Corps. so they could conduct experiments on kids. But when one kid escaped experimentation and returned to the orphanage, Umbrella panicked and had all of the orphans killed and disposed of due to fears of an outbreak. And they told the public the orphans were “moved to a more sanitary location” in order to cover this up.
The Bakers will always be the most tragic in my opinion. They were just a normal family (for the most part considering their crazy son Lucas) until Eveline infected them with her gift. Turning them into monsters both in and out. The part that gets me the most though is that one scene of Jack talking to Ethan and finding out he was basically trapped in his own body.
It was really sad, especially Ma Baker (can’t remember her name). She was a really loving woman to the point of helping strangers & it destroyed her family. But if I had to choose, Lisa’s story actually made me cry & I was fully in homicidal revenge mode for her. I never got that emotional for the Bakers & Idk why.
@@annegrey6447 I think it's because the bakers are all adults when they got infected while Lisa is just a little girl when her and her mother were kidnapped by umbrella and were used as test subjects
The sad thing is that Lisa may not be dead. No matter how many times the player killed Lisa. She kept coming back. Even if she fell down to her doom. It’s likely she could still be alive even after the fall. 😢
She did survive the fall. You see in Umbrella Chronicles she tries to get revenge on Wesker. Wesker defeats her though and she is trapped as the mansion explodes.
there is a chance she may be alive and wandering in the woods she has secert places in re1re, and knew how to hide, which means she knew how to survive in the wood
i wanted to see Moreau on this list too, ngl i feel kinda bad for him because he knows he's seen as "inferior" to his brothers and sisters and tries to compensate it by his loyalty to Miranda...
Personally I don't feel bad at all for Moreau. I do feel like it was a mercy kill when we killed him. But if you know the lore. He was brutally torturing and infecting people with the Cado parasite *before* his transformation and he was a sadistic and cruel doctor. The transformation may of made him go insane and he became mentally challenged after it. But that doesn't change his actions
Lisa is the most tragic honestly. Because of umbrella, her life, her family's lives were taken away. She was only about 14 when they experimented on her
I could argue that Carla from RE6 is also tragic, given that Carla was literally only used to be a clone of Ada - the effects of the C-Virus messed with her mentally but she still loved Simmions and wanted to recreate racoon city on a global scale. She's still evil af, but still sad when you actually read the lore for her
@latayesha nah, Simmions made it a point to not tell Carla about what he was trying to do, in the cutscenes of Simmioms getting frustrated, he then gets calm and talks about Carla and orders someone to not tell her what he was planning. The only thing that she did on her free will was be like some type of assistant? Or one of his best lab techs? But that's the reason why the events of RE6 happened, bc it all centers around Simmions and his obsession for Ada!
@@jacobjoseph1468 Code Veronica should be more iconic as it had so many down right chilling and spooky moments. (one of em being when Claire ascends the staircase towards the Ashford Manor on Rockfort Island, the camera pans up, and you get that hauntingly chilling laughter from Alexia/Alfred Ashford as lightning and thunder claps. Then you get to the Doll House portion of the game. that damn piano score was effin haunting. It was like something out of a gothic horror story rather than a science fiction horror story about a bio-weapon. Honestly it evokes the OG Resident Evil (before the discovery of the Labs and Virus, when the player and the characters think the monsters are demons or something)
@darkservantofheaven true on all accounts, code Veronica is an underrated classic, the primary problem is that it was released on the Dreamcast so initially, many people never got to play it. Yes the doll hanging from the ceiling terrified me, as did alexia's laugh, code Veronica is the most deserving of a remake.
Had a feeling Lisa would be #1 because I felt sorry for her more than anyone else. Also, we never got a resolution to the dude from Code Veronica’s story since Wesker took him to study the specific strain of the virus he was infected with. Considering that Wesker’s story ended in 5, I guess we never will find out what happened to that guy. They ended so many games with cliff hangers that they probably will never follow up on like Jessica in Revelations and Natalia in Revelations 2 to name a couple
I'm surprised Donna Beneviento wasn't higher up on the list. She was literally just a scared, mentally ill child who was made an orphan because both of her parents killed themselves (some could argue in front of her due to lore clues), who was manipulated by Miranda for god knows how long. She probably thought Miranda could be a mother to her and ended up catching a parasite that turned her into a monster. And lets be honest here, as far as RE villain powers go being able to make people hallucinate because of some plants that grow outside your house is kinda lame on paper. She really got done dirty.
facts i think ethan IS the most tragic character in resident evil. - He was just a normal guy, an engineer who had a wife that disappeared for years and then suddenly tells him to come to a house full of horrible mutants that would probably kill him. - He has to fight and in his mind KILL his wife who he loves dearly. - He gets grievously injured multiple times trying to save both himself and Mia, and is even killed and turned into a moulded. - He has to murder many innocent people who were also taken by the infection, while being physically and mentally beaten and bruised. - He then has to choose to leave behind either Mia or Zoe, it's obvious which he's gonna choose but it's still horrible to be put in that situation. - Then after he escapes he has to deal with the death of his wife AGAIN and the kidnapping of his daughter by his most trusted friend, Chris Redfield (obviously he didn't know at the time that Chris was helping but still) - He goes through the same shit AGAIN being horrifically injured multiple times to try and save his daughter, only to find that she's been cut into pieces and he needs to kill some giant mutant fuckers to put her back together. - He then dies, but through sheer power of will holds back death and saves his daughter, and then his spirit gets trapped in some weird mouldy otherworld in which he sees his daughter for the first time in like 15 years and then dies AGAIN but this time for good. Lisa definitely deserved better but come on Ethan went through more physical and emotional pain than any other RE character and kept chugging along like the gigachad he is to save his family. IDC what anyone says Ethan is the true hero of RE
@@theinternetofficer6594 ive always liked ethan, people hated him because they thought he had no personality but ethan has always been my favourite protagonist in RE
sad to not see Mendéz on here. to my understanding, his story goes something like this: Mendéz was the village chief, taking care of the village that we see in Resident Evil 4. He seems to have been quite active and engaged in the villagers lives, reading books for the children and helping out the farmers whenever he could. However, due to the village being so isolated, it struggled to make ends meet financially, thus leading to him allowing outsiders into the village. This is why we see the canyon areas and other dig sites, such as red mist valley being quite industrialized. One group of people allowed into the village were the people living in the castle, that by this point was already controlled by the Las Plagas parasite. They ended up infecting the village, and eventually Mendéz too. Overall, despite Mendéz's best attempts to keep the village alive and well, it's what ultimately caused its downfall. You could make a case that when he dies, with his last words he attempts to essentially blame Saddler for what he did to him and his people. I could be wrong on some details, it's been a while since I read his backstory, but I always feel bad for him.
My understanding is that Mendez welcomed the parasite & Saddler onto the village as he saw it as salvation for his people. I’ve considered putting him on here because of the mindset that he had regard it saving his people, but considering that the parasite kills the children of the village I can’t find anything positive behind his decision to welcome Las Plagas & Saddler despite his “good intentions”
To be fair, the series in general has victims as enemies. 1-3 your generic zombies were just regular people who got infected. 4-5 saw intentional infection of most of humanoid enemies (I have never actually played 6). In 7, Eveline was infected with the mold as an embryo and grew as a child as a science experiment, and would go on to make the Bakers even more tragic victims (except for Lucas, who can go to hell). 8, much like 4, has the village as victims, and that one takes you a step further by having you arrive there while there are still a few holdouts, so you witness the terror they experience (the end of the house sequence seemed to eliminate the final holdouts, sadly).
I'm surprised there wasn't an honorable mention for that one commands officer in Revelations who slowly turned into a monster and eventually made a distress call even though it was already to late, his journal in the same room where you find him, also talks about some of the last things that happened to him while he was transforming. You could have also mentioned it (U8) since didn't it used to be a human? There's also the chimeras which where humans who became fly type monsters.
Tbh the number one tragic victims in resident evil should just be the regular zombie or infected. They were people just living normal lives caught in the madness of egomaniacs.
I was going to give them an honorable mention covering all of them to cover my basis there but decided against it. But I def get where you’re coming from there
Better to just completely lose your life than to continue suffering while in some sort of eternal half alive state. Kinda like in I have no mouth and I must scream.
@@meowmeowmaow I like that they may have physically turned her into a monster but that something inside of her was still human enough to remember Claire and save her life
In RE revelations 2 a man that worked to provide for the whole family, but after he got sick and could no longer worker the family branded him as worthless and din't even take care of him, they would let him alone in a room and only feed him garbage,he was actually infected with a virus that turned him into a Glasp.
Not many things shook me up in RE. But I was terrified by Lisa. I don't know what it was, but I just felt uncomfortable with that creature. And then finding out the backstory, there was a knot in my stomach, I felt so sad for her. Actual sadness that carried outside of gameplay, any excuse to bring her up in conversation with my muggle friends. To me, her backstory IS horror. I don't think I'll come across another video game character like that anytime soon, kudos to the Remake developers for introducing her 👏🏼
William and Anette Birkin is also extremely tragic. Him and Anette Genuinely loved their daughter and didn't want her to have to grow up in a world filled with monsters. Not to mention, William wanted the G virus to be something that would help wounded soldiers regenerate lost limbs, which Is why he tried to contact the us military. Before he was able to finish it however, Umbrella's task force stormed the lab and shot him...
William cared more for his virus than he did his own progeny. William Birkin and Albert Wesker murdered their boss James Marcus in the 80's so they could steal credit for his T-virus. William and Anette used orphans in their experiments so there is nothing tragic in their demises. William had absolutely nothing altruistic nor redeeming about him.
I think the little girl from Operation: Javier is a good mention. While not a monster, she did get experimented on and died due to circumstances beyond her control.
I forgot her real last name but from resident evil 6 the ada Wong clone I always called her Carla Wong. Who was Simmons girlfriend but he wanted ada Wong and she rejected him so he used his own girlfriend and turned her into an ada Wong clone and implanted her memories in to his creation. Only for her real memories to come back and the overwhelming memories of ada and hers cause a mental breakdown and she decided to create neo umbrella to destroy the world cause Simmons and his people who are known as The family want to continue to control the world through fear and mulipulation. Oh and she created the BOW that chased sherry and Jake throughout there campaign. And I know technically she's a person but in reality she is a BOW just like Sherry and Ethan and Rose and Albert they have a lot of human BOW'S
should've added all those kids that were in the orphanage in re2 remake, they were all used for testing because no one would miss them since they had no family :( all those children were told they got adopted but they were taken to a facility to get experimented on
Yeah almost included regular infected, Ganados, ect as one big entry but decided against it because they of how much ground it covers. Probably should have gave it an honorable mention though
Lisa definetly tops the list, but the story of how Nemisis came to be was pretty tragic too. I can't remember where it's seen, but off memory it was in the Manhwa
From what I read on nemesis I couldn’t find anything tragic in its backstory as the identity of the test subject used for nemesis remained fairly confidential and hidden
@@NerdSpaceGameshes talkin about the chinese manwha version of 3,where nemesis was a professional boxer who got sent to jail, taken by umbrella, forced to watch his wife and child turn into zombies by T injection, all while hes in the test subject tank bein infected by the NE alpha parasite..he was conscious thru the whole process
@@sherif956 I've always believed that canon, even in the remake. It just makes the most sense for why he got them hands. Plus I never liked the idea of nemesis simply being a modified T-103. If it was easy enough to put a parasite in a normal tyrant to make nemesis then why not do it to everyone. I've always loved the idea of nemesis being the one person who could withstand BOTH the parasite and virus combo.
@knightpal1545 cause apparently before the T-103 tyrants, the parasite ended any host even if it was a hunter,Lisa was the 1st survivor of such injection, and T-103s were only possible post the mansion incident thanks to Dr birkin, whn he took a T-002 cloned embryo, injected him with his more advanced T strain,it became mr x,and if we talkin with OG lore Umbrella DID create more than one nemesis tyrant, problem was 4 of them gained a sense of ego, attempted to escape containment, like they got too smart, the 5th one is the one chasing jill,so imagine if umbrella made every Mr x tyrant thy had a nemesis? Thn it'd b impossible to contain them and they'd most likely escape into the world obeying nobody but their own wills
I hate that Ethan decided to kill Heisenberg. To me he seemed as the most sane person in the entire village and most rational ally... and then Ethan dies.
To be fair 'Ethan' is a B.O.W. thats on its last leg and has only held out as long as it ignores anything that would disrupt the "Ethan mindset"...like the fact that his wife is a bio-terrorist that should of been executed.instead of allowed free.
@@matthewdeltoro8962I agree cause God knows what would have happened if Ethan agreed to it. I don't think he trusted him still either way considering what he went through the whole game
The whole Trevor family was treated truly despicably. Lisa is HANDS DOWN the most tragic “enemy” of the entire RE series. And arguably one of the highest in all gaming lore. Edit: want to add this because you mentioned the explosion of the mansion “supposedly took Lisa with it”. But I can say with relative certainty that she’s still alive just buried underneath the rubble. Being with her mom finally means she probably won’t have incentive to try to get out if it’s at all possible. After numerous extreme attempts at termination by Umbrella. She she was deemed literally “unkillable”. I would love to see her somewhere in a future title. I’ve been writing my own stories for years about characters in the RE series. Here’s some of her’s After spending a great amount of time completely alone with her mother she slowly regains some intelligence. Eventually remembering what happened to her family and herself causing her to want revenge. Trapped beneath the remnants of what started all of the horror she’s been through with nothing to do but wallow in her anger and despair. Dreaming of all the ways she would inflict pain and suffering upon anyone or anything connected to Umbrella. The years of dreams becoming more elaborate causes reconnecting and forming new synapses previously thought impossible. Eventually she regains some the higher intellectual capacity from her former life. Desperate and alone she survives by feeding on the occasional insect or animal that makes its way close enough. Drinking rain water that runs it down through the dirt and debris. Evolving herself into a new form for survival and lethality. Until one distant day in the future she hears heavy machinery and starts to feel rumbling and weight being lifted off her trapped body. Lisa begins seeing the first slivers of daylight in countless years and feeling herself starting to gain the ability to lift the weight upon her as it’s being removed by the machine operators who are working for a land development company and have never even heard of the atrocities committed by Umbrella let alone the monsters it’s created. Back down in the pit Lisa slowly lifts her legs and motions to stand for the first time since the bastion of her misery entombed her so many years ago, she looks up towards the sky and a monstrous smile begins to form. Giving a glimpse at the first of her many lethal evolutions, large razor sharp teeth.
1 and 2 I think are both interchangable. The conversation Jack has with Ethan shows that he and Marguerite are both aware of what they are doing and they're being forced to witness what their bodies are doing to other people, especially to Zoey. And all because they rescued Mia and Evelyn during the hurricane. Lisa really needs no further explanation.
honestly thought excella gíone would’ve been on here, she trusted wesker so much and expected to rule his “new age” along side with him, she trusted him until she was infected and rejected by urorboros and the last thing she said before she died was his name
I totally agree with this list also I think Piers Nivans the loyal soldier in BSAA totally deserves in this list as the most tragic monsters who sacrificed himself for Chris Redfield
I consider Donna and Angie to have the most beautifully sad story in the series. It’s one thing for the story to only be known by the survivors who put you down, it’s another when that story dies with that sole survivor less than a day later.
Ethan is the most tragic imo, having his whole world shattered at the end of resident evil village along with all the shit that happened to his hands and everything else makes me feel so bad for him
I didn't think I would've seen Peasanta here, NGL. Also, about Eveline, there's also the fact that her creation was assisted by Mother Miranda, who discarded her afterwards because she wouldn't be a suitable vessel for her daughter's consciousness, and the fact in Shadow of Rose, she gets mad jealous at Rose and is seen at some point crying cuz she feels useless. And during her stay in the Baker's family, Eveline wasn't provided the medecine that would prevent her to age rapidly. So during her stay at that family, she had the body of an elderly woman who needed a wheelchair to move around. Extra tragic.
George wasn't just killed, he was tricked into bringing his family to the mansion with the intent of having an honest dinner. He wasn't killed right away either, he was left alive for sometime hating himself for what he had done, wondering if his family was still alive. His story is truly the most tragic.
yeah I didn't dive more into that part of the story as that section focused more on George rather than Lisa, which this video was on "monsters" in resident evil and George never became one that we fought in the game.
@@NerdSpaceGamesYea I agree, and maybe it can be another video. I just had to say it because honestly, imagine that. Maybe you can make a "better" video next time.
@@NerdSpaceGames Yeah I know! I would've loved it if Capcom allowed for us to have a choice between joining forces with Heisenberg rather than just Ethan outright refusing. Major missed opportunity there IMO.
Hi. I saw some footage in the clip number 2 from Resident Evil 7 ,that I didn't get in my playthroughs .... where is this in the game ? Are the additional downloads ? Thank you.
Funfact about Nosferatu in Code Veronica: he's got a couple death animations. If you kill him with a regular firearm (pistol, shotgun, etc.) you get the standard animation. If you use the sniper rifle, you kill him with a relatively long range shot to the heart with it. Interestingly though, there's also an animation for the knife, where you stab the fucker in the heart.
True, Piers didn't deserve any of that 😢 I think he didn't put him here because he's technically not a "monster" since he doesn't transform fully and keeps his consciousness.
When I think tragic, I tend to think Silent Hill characters, even if the monsters tend to be spawned from the minds of tormented souls, as opposed to the person transforming, themselves. Usually. I think that may have changed in later games.
8:11 Yeah, have to agree to disagree on Eveline! After seeing what she did to the Bakers, alone, I think the aort of thing that gives villagers a need to grab the torches and pitchforks! 😹💀😹
Nemesis is probably my favorite monster. The way he says “S.T.A.R.S.”, the way he stalks you and can’t defeat him at first. I believe the pursuit sequences in the original RE 3 were more suspenseful than the remake unfortunately
For me its the bakers that are more tragic, Lisa is really tragic and how it is portrayed in game is amazing, but there is something extra cruel to me about how Jack Baker and their family were mutated and twisted simply because of the kindness of the family and how their own son betrayed them in the end instead of ceasing their suffering. What truly gets me is the twisting of the household into an abusive one, extreme punishments for Lucas upon misbehaving and the insulation that the new Jack beats his wife, despite the old one loving them more than anything. The begging to Ethan to set their family free makes it even worse and how he seems reluctant on accepting that Eveline needs to die and understanding her feelings despite everything she has done to them, it is one of the best people stories in RE in my opinion.
In my opinion, you covered all of the best ones. Lisa Trevor needed to be number one. She is easily the most tragic. I would have bumped up and nosferatu to about maybe 5. Also, most of the rest of the munstores were test tubes before about coveronica call Veronica. Most of them, and you have to remember that we only get Lisa Trevor in the original Resident Evil remake. She is not in the original resident evil game
Wasn't Evie also based off of Eva but Miranda wanted nothing to do with Evelyn, but did get the idea to revive Eva in a similar manner only got more biblical/mystical with it than just making a lab mould baby
Miranda's tragic state began with the Spanish Flu. All she wanted was her daughter back. While I can't forgive her actions, I can understand where she was coming from.
Great video. RE lore always sends a shiver down my spine but in a good way! Also apologies if any offensive posts or comments popped up in my name. I was hacked...😢😢😢
Good list! Tragic villains tend to be my favorites. Not that pure evil can't be fun too😁 i was kinda surprised to not see Mother Miranda on this list considering you talked about how tragic her story is in you best villains list. Oh and small correction, Heisenberg doesn't really care about the village. He hates Miranda for what she did to him personally. One of his voice lines during his bossfight basically confirms that. "The villagers are nothing but a bunch of worthless peons!"
I don't know or remember if they became monsters/zombies after this and I think this is canon because Leon was mentioned in the game... It was the abducted victims from RE Gun Survivor. Their scientists/researcher extracted noradrenalin (the fight or flight hormone) from the brain, alive, without anesthesia because noradrenalin is only produced while at the height of fear. Imagine yourself kidnapped, lying face-down at a table or inside a capsule, strapped, your head being cut open without anesthetics to extract your hormone to produce multiple tyrants. Despite the game being so bad, the lore, the notes are so dark. And I think honorable mentions are Piers Nivans and Finn from RE6.
While Heisenberg is less evil than the 4 lords, i don't really think he cared much for the village or the people in it. He did steal people (who were probably already dead), rip out their hearts, and turned them into cyborg soldiers.
I personally rate Steve at number one. Reasons: Not even remotely evil, is allied to Claire and the two actually get along super well (when Steve died, Claire grieved, and when Wesker mentioned taking his corpse, she was absolutely furious, Chris literally had to restrain her), things started off bad for Steve and only got worse as the story progressed, and he doesn't reappear in any game aside from the one he was introduced in.
I knew who was number one before even watching. Lisa Trevor is still one of my favorite RE monsters. She's dangerous, near invincible, and then there's that tragic backstory. Even so, I think you are missing a fairly obvious candidate. One that can easily surpass Ms. Trevor. What about Albert Wesker!?! Nobody's story is more tragic than his. He was the victim of a gargantuan ego and sense of self importance that he could not control...what could possibly be more tragic than that?
I've always theorized that wesker was originally from the Trevor family and is possibly Lisa's brother. We do know he was abducted from his original family and given the name wesker. It seems possible due to them both providing to have the ability to adapt to various types of viruses I even think if Lisa was treated better her mental state would not have declined. I think both characters are sad they were both manipulated and destroyed by umbrella it's not an excuse for what wesker did but evil isn't born it's created.
Yeah, I'd say Lisa Trevor belongs at the top of this list. A woman in her forties. but with the mind of a thirteen year old girl, who's been treated as a lab rat her whole life, psychologically tortured with imposters of her parents, and left to wander an underground maze on her own while her body mutates beyond control.
Hi guys im on ps4 and want to go on co op mode in resident evil revelations 1 but it just want work does anybody know why its says could not read catalog data

To him, Alexia was not a person or a daughter, but a tool. He sacrificed her childhood by subjecting her to an extreme amount of pressure (remember that at age 10 she was head researcher of Umbrella, at an age where she should be playing with other kids and her toys), forcing her to grow up too fast in the name of his selfish ambitions. -Alfred: He was utterly ignored by Alexander, who made abundantly clear that he was useless and inferior if he couldn't keep up with his sister. And it wasn't in an unintentional way, he just deliberately didn't care about Alfred whatsoever. -When the twins found out the truth about their origins, they were furious: Alexia already figured out that Alexander was using her to achieve what he couldn't, but it's still a hard pill to swallow to find out you were only "loved" because you were a successful experiment.
She's still evil af, but still sad when you actually read the lore for her
Didn't she volunteer tho?
@latayesha nah, Simmions made it a point to not tell Carla about what he was trying to do, in the cutscenes of Simmioms getting frustrated, he then gets calm and talks about Carla and orders someone to not tell her what he was planning. The only thing that she did on her free will was be like some type of assistant? Or one of his best lab techs? But that's the reason why the events of RE6 happened, bc it all centers around Simmions and his obsession for Ada!
@@simplysyntheticiism Thank you for explaining. I was genuinely confused
The Nosfetatu is one of the coolest monsters in the series. I would love to see how Capcom would handle him in a remake.
Agreed! Honestly I could see them giving more redeeming traits to him in the remake
@@NerdSpaceGames Possibly. He's a major highlight of Code Veronica in my opinion.
When Claire first sees him in the basement, his scream is the most terrifying in the series.
I thought whesker took the body with him because the dude died?
I’ve battled enough RE bosses to know they don’t die that easily and there’s no telling what Whesker got up to with him
I'm glad to see Rachel Foley on the list. Revelations are great games, but Rachel holds a special place in my heart with her Ms. Bellum vibes. Lol
I sorta like that all the resident evil monsters are connected and not just a single villain plans with no connection.
Technically I think Ethan Winters should be somewhere on this list. He was a mold being who really got the short end of the stick.
facts i think ethan IS the most tragic character in resident evil.
- Then after he escapes he has to deal with the death of his wife AGAIN and the kidnapping of his daughter by his most trusted friend, Chris Redfield (obviously he didn't know at the time that Chris was helping but still)
- He goes through the same shit AGAIN being horrifically injured multiple times to try and save his daughter, only to find that she's been cut into pieces and he needs to kill some giant mutant fuckers to put her back together.
Werent people clowning on ethan ever since his debut, whats with all the love all of a sudden? I remember people hating him
@@theinternetofficer6594 ive always liked ethan, people hated him because they thought he had no personality but ethan has always been my favourite protagonist in RE

sad to not see Mendéz on here. to my understanding, his story goes something like this:
Mendéz was the village chief, taking care of the village that we see in Resident Evil 4.
I think this is coming from RE 4 Remake and not the og RE4, still I’d say Mendéz would deserve to be on a list like this. Maybe a part 2.
The remake also implied he took care of Luis after his grandpa passed away
I'm surprised there wasn't an honorable mention for that one commands officer in Revelations who slowly turned into a monster and eventually made a distress call even though it was already to late, his journal in the same room where you find him, also talks about some of the last things that happened to him while he was transforming.
You could have also mentioned it (U8) since didn't it used to be a human?
There's also the chimeras which where humans who became fly type monsters.
MAYDAY MAYDAAAAAAAY
THIS... IS THE _QUEEN ZENOBIA..._
EMERGANCY _CALL NUMBER..._
Tbh the number one tragic victims in resident evil should just be the regular zombie or infected. They were people just living normal lives caught in the madness of egomaniacs.
I was going to give them an honorable mention covering all of them to cover my basis there but decided against it. But I def get where you’re coming from there
You have a point.
Its terrible for sure but How is that worse than Lisa?
Better to just completely lose your life than to continue suffering while in some sort of eternal half alive state.
Kinda like in I have no mouth and I must scream.
Lisa definitely deserves the top spot I like how they worked her story into Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City
That movie was a travesty to the franchise wtf u mean
@@meowmeowmaow I like that they may have physically turned her into a monster but that something inside of her was still human enough to remember Claire and save her life
Moreau was tragic. He really just wanted to be loved by Miranda and would have done anything for her.
In RE revelations 2 a man that worked to provide for the whole family, but after he got sick and could no longer worker the family branded him as worthless and din't even take care of him, they would let him alone in a room and only feed him garbage,he was actually infected with a virus that turned him into a Glasp.
They should make a DLC where you can join Heisenberg. A good one where everything works out and Rose and Ethan are saved.
AGREED! I still wanted to team up with him, even when he mentioned using Rose. I figured with her being half mold she'd be able to survive it.
There’s a note near the end of the factory which reveals that he was going to use ethan and rose for his experiments if ethan went along with his plan
It's a yoai what if fanfic. Sorry about I said.😔
Not many things shook me up in RE. I don't think I'll come across another video game character like that anytime soon, kudos to the Remake developers for introducing her 👏🏼
Found this channel a few weeks ago when I finally bought re4 remake and absolutely love the content keep up the amazing work
Thanks dude this means a lot! I appreciate it!
I feel sorry for Lisa not only is she profound as a monster but deep down Umbrella Just tormented her😢
I think the little girl from Operation: Javier is a good mention.
You mean Carla Radames
should've added all those kids that were in the orphanage in re2 remake, they were all used for testing because no one would miss them since they had no family :( all those children were told they got adopted but they were taken to a facility to get experimented on
Maaan how could you forget the ganados? Should be #2 on the list because a whole village of free people was turned into "slaves" against their wills 😭
Yeah almost included regular infected, Ganados, ect as one big entry but decided against it because they of how much ground it covers. Probably should have gave it an honorable mention though
I feel bad for the nemesis.
All he wanted was to see the stars
😢
@@sherif956 that's it! I couldn't remember what he was in his past life. Absolutely loved the story line behind it
@@sherif956 I've always believed that canon, even in the remake.
@knightpal1545 cause apparently before the T-103 tyrants, the parasite ended any host even if it was a hunter,Lisa was the 1st survivor of such injection, and T-103s were only possible post the mansion incident thanks to Dr birkin, whn he took a T-002 cloned embryo, injected him with his more advanced T strain,it became mr x,and if we talkin with OG lore
Umbrella DID create more than one nemesis tyrant, problem was 4 of them gained a sense of ego, attempted to escape containment, like they got too smart, the 5th one is the one chasing jill,so imagine if umbrella made every Mr x tyrant thy had a nemesis? Thn it'd b impossible to contain them and they'd most likely escape into the world obeying nobody but their own wills
I have no idea how Lisa’s scream when she jumped off that cliff made me laugh so hard
@dragonsfire286 me too 🤣 me too
I hate that Ethan decided to kill Heisenberg. To me he seemed as the most sane person in the entire village and most rational ally... and then Ethan dies.
I think he considered it till Heisenberg basically said “let’s use your daughter as a weapon!”
Lisa Trevor always makes me cry
Here’s some of her’s
After spending a great amount of time completely alone with her mother she slowly regains some intelligence.
The most tragic is the remake nemesis because if how poorly they used him.
In all seriousness, it's always gonna be Lisa. Her storys very messed up.
Love this channel and background theme! Save room music 🎶 🎵 so soothing
Glad you enjoy it!
Lisa is the absolute worse, game goes from dark to disturbingly sicknening
honestly thought excella gíone would’ve been on here, she trusted wesker so much and expected to rule his “new age” along side with him, she trusted him until she was infected and rejected by urorboros and the last thing she said before she died was his name
They where all tragic indeed. Good video
Great video my friend keep up the good work
Thanks my dude!
Ethan is the most tragic imo, having his whole world shattered at the end of resident evil village along with all the shit that happened to his hands and everything else makes me feel so bad for him
can't believe bro didn't included krauser
I always feel bad for Rachel, especially when you hear her sad yet disturbing cries after she's turned.
Heisenberg's powers would actually be polarity since he's only able to control metal with his mind.
Rip my b!
@@NerdSpaceGames Yeah I know! I would've loved it if Capcom allowed for us to have a choice between joining forces with Heisenberg rather than just Ethan outright refusing. Major missed opportunity there IMO.
Roanoke gaming theorized that he's able to manipulate metal by flexing certain muscles.

Well since Darkside Chronicles is being acknowledged, I believe that Hilda Hidalgo deserves at the very least an honorable mention.

I don't get it
Why didn't you put the companion of Chris in RE6. That's was a sad ending.
Moreau from Resident Evil village
Nanan Yoshihara the first Lepotica from resident evil six prequel manga Resident Evil: The Marhawa Desire.
I know why, but I feel teaming up with Heisenburg should have beem a choice but still i hated having to defeat him because he's cool!
Wow! I'm very early! Looking forward to this one (:
Nice!! Enjoy!!
What about all of the villagers and the village chief in RE4?
i was shocked that the mayday scagdead wasn't on this list
Bunch of characters I had 0 clue about and I played the originals as a child.
For me, it’d had to be the ships captain in revelations, and Ada Wong from resident evil 6, since she’s an anti hero, and discovered her origins.
Great video. RE lore always sends a shiver down my spine but in a good way! Also apologies if any offensive posts or comments popped up in my name. I was hacked...😢😢😢
lol you’re good my dude
They stacked rachel before she turned
I went into the game blind but even now I feel badly for Steve.
Steve isn’t dead as wesker said that he had his body
And I think honorable mentions are Piers Nivans and Finn from RE6.
you know what would be Cool A? a game where you are a BOW and you got own sentient and then go for revenge
"If he didn't create the weapon to kill Alexsia who knows what would've happened!?"
Chris would have punched her. Very, very hard.
The most tragic is when Chris lost his hilariously vainy muscles lol
1:16 I'm still at the beginning and lisa Trevor is my number one 😢 lets see if you agree 😍
Idk 😅
lisa was just sad brah...
He was the victim of a gargantuan ego and sense of self importance that he could not control...what could possibly be more tragic than that?
baker family lore will always hit my soul
I've always theorized that wesker was originally from the Trevor family and is possibly Lisa's brother. We do know he was abducted from his original family and given the name wesker. It seems possible due to them both providing to have the ability to adapt to various types of viruses I even think if Lisa was treated better her mental state would not have declined. I think both characters are sad they were both manipulated and destroyed by umbrella it's not an excuse for what wesker did but evil isn't born it's created.
lisa trevor in the movie welcome to raccoon city was a good person in game shes a boss fight?
The movie took so many liberties with the source material. Yet, somehow it was the closest to the source material of all the live action films.
I think the molded were the most tragic. They were literally turned into black goo while still alive
I am glad Birkin was not included because he was almost as nasty as Wesker before his mutation.
I think it's a tie between Lisa and the chainsaw sailor monster from revelations. The one that says "may day may day" over and over
I submit that Wesker is the most tragic story. He's a villain and a good guy 👦
Hi guys im on ps4 and want to go on co op mode in resident evil revelations 1 but it just want work does anybody know why its says could not read catalog data
Revelations 1 isnt co op
Gotta hands down for lisa cus jesus while bakers are just as innocent, this girl just wanted to see her mother even after years of being tortured and turned into a literal immortal monster.
13:52 ok, the baker family, except Lucas
In some way, Mother Miranda also deserves some spot here. What she did is unjustified but she just couldn't bear the loss of her child.
No
She tortured and turned a whole village into monsters and was going to kill a baby. Then she died and tried to kill rose AGAIN. Hell no should she be considered for this list

Nice opinion, I don’t agree but I respect you
@@Nowherebuteverywere333 "Nice opinion, I don't agree but I respect you."
It's not even an opinion, in fact, that's exactly what happened: Alfred and Alexia exist solely due to Alexander's selfishness: He never wanted a child to love and care for, he wanted means to fix his mistakes and treated both twins horribly:
-Alexia: He determined her worth on her performance.
On the other side, Alfred was so consumed by hatred towards Alexander to the point he wanted him dead, because Alexander never saw or love him as a son, he only saw him as an unintended byproduct who should have never existed.
Agreed that Lisa is one of resident evil's most tragic monsters, but has anyone ever given a thought about the poor man at the beginning of resident evil 5 who has the plaga shoved down his throat?
Tbf that’s probably the fate of most of the village
