I'm still sad and hard Big Idea went under. They made children Christian media that anyone could and did love, and I doubt anyone else ever will do the same again.
I was one of that small team of 13. Mostly I animated, but did a little modeling and rigging as well. Many of the shots shown in your video were ones I animated. As Keith said, good times indeed. I'm glad the show had such an impact on you and is a fond childhood memory. Your best bet for finding tests is contacting the animators in the credits of 'Trouble on Planet Wait Your Turn". No corporate entity would know if they had it or not. Chances are the backups are on obsolete media and were lost long ago. But an individual animator may have held on to a copy of their test. I came on at the end of testing just in time to start the first show, so I did not do any of those tests that I recall. But I have copies of all my shots, so you might have luck with individual artists. Thanks for making this video. It was fun. - Tim Lannon
I grew up in a Christian household in New Zealand in the early 2000s. I had an early copy of the pilot of 321 Penguins on VHS due to the fact that the Church I attended as a child had a supply from the NZ distributer for Big Idea(the Church's name was City Impact). I had all the really old Veggietales VHS tapes too. The funny thing about the pilot VHS I had was the fact that it had a reel from numerous animation tests, and honestly I never knew they were lost at all. I've moved houses several times since the early 2000s, so I'm not entirely sure if I still have it. My best bet would be to buy a preowned New Zealand region 3-2-1 Penguins pilot VHS, so I'll keep my eyes out. Kinda kicking myself for not keeping all my VHS tapes from my childhood, but there was literally no way I could have known, I was just a kid.
The still with the mustachioed character is actually from "Jonah" the movie that Big Idea made for the big screen. The character's name is Khalil and that appears to be a screen cap of his entrance monolog in the movie. There was an intro to the Penguins included as a bonus feature on one of the Veggie Tale dvds and I believe it contains more of those 3 2 1 Penguin screen caps you are searching for. It had an introduction to the Penguins and explained their backstory and I want to say Phil Vischer and some other creators/animators appeared in the clip giving said intro. Unfortunately I do not remember which DVD episode of Veggie Tales it was. Good work on the vid, what a fun trip down memory lane!
You've probably come across it already at this point, but there is a teaser trailer for this show that actually has the clip with Zidgel in the spotlight reciting his lines. I don't think it has all the missing animation tests, but it showcases some concept art, and for sure has that bit with Zidgel in the spotlight. There's even a clip where he comes face to face with Larry the Cucumber from VeggieTales. If you look up "321 Penguins! Teaser" on RUclips, you should be able to find it.

I believe this is the track I used? ruclips.net/video/hQT6WMJ-Fco/видео.html I had used a lot of tracks from this channel back when I had made this video so I apologize for not knowing the specific one.
Well the good news is that 3-2-1 Penguins and VeggieTales is in a channel called smile that's where I see the pilot of 3-2-1 Penguins well it's very legendary so it will be like a 2% chance that it would do the pilot episode or just get a movie then you'll see the pilot for 10 seconds 3-2-1 Penguins
HOLY SHIT (excuse the potty-mouth), I just watched this video having never watched 3-2-1 Penguins! before (I live in Europe so shows like this and Veggietales were never really aired here)... but I realised that I have seen these EXACT characters before! In the book Mastering Maya 3 by Peter Lee, I believe there is a page featuring some info about this show and a picture of the characters. Maya is a 3D animation/rendering program (as you probably know by now), and 3-2-1 Penguins! seems to have been made using Maya... so maybe there lies a clue with the author of the book, Peter Lee? I would double-check if it is the same book I am thinking of, but my father owned a bunch of books about Alias’ Maya and he passed away a good while ago-and the books vanished with him. But yeah, maybe if you ordered a copy of the book on Amazon and contacted Peter Lee or anybody else through the information that is given in the book you could find something cool. Just a thought.

I literally had a VHS tape. I believe that my moms friend who got to keep them threw them away.I think my mom is very regretful of giving her the VHS tapes she threw.
Probs old news now, but I think I have some vague memories of seeing test footage on one of my old veggietales videos. It is just vague memories, so I'm not even sure if I'm remembering right or not, and we donated all our old veggietales dvds and everything since my siblings and I aged out. Maybe it would be worth it to check out special features for something?
The only way I ever see these pieces getting found is if someone inside the company is willing to risk to job and leak the animations or if somehow dreamworks gets breached into.
I remember watching this show as a child....
Have you ever heard of "Haunted Hotels" by Travel Channel? It aired from 2001 to 2005, I've found a few episodes here on RUclips and I think one Vimeo, but so far I can't find the rest. It aired on the Travel Channel and The Discovery Channel.
QUBO WAS MY CHILDHOOD
Bro, I used to watch this show all the time as a kid. Completely forgot about it
Could you please cover the Ready Player One rant video made by Trap Lore Ross (formerly Ross Hacks)? Because that video was uploaded in early April 2018 until being deleted sometime around either July or August of that year.
It still airs on SMILE, a No-Cable channel.
i remember seeing a version of this show with the biblical sections cut from the qubo airings
The algorithm is one your side! Don't fail it!
These were on my veggietales VHS i believe. i remember seeing some of those images when i was a kid watching the tapes. but i could be wrong i'd have to check them
Well finding 3-2-1 Penguins teaser I found an unfinished animation I don't know I didn't watched it yet so I'm going to watch it
qubo was the most underated channel
Brooooo I remember watching this
Hey, I dig the background tune. The r/mrreddit channel uses the same one. What's it called?
I believe this is the track I used?
ruclips.net/video/hQT6WMJ-Fco/видео.html
I had used a lot of tracks from this channel back when I had made this video so I apologize for not knowing the specific one.
I remember this show damn it's been a long time

PECOLA
@@SewerReviewer YES
I used to watch qubo with some friends for the magic school bus, good times.
I like this channel and you
I heard that this show is good, I haven't seen it though, is it good?
I kinda miss qubo tbh, all the fun memories I had watching it on kinda down the drain now.
I remember watching that a long time ago
interesting. I didn't know big idea had an another show
I used to watch this all the time
Did you know the animation where Keith voiced Zidgel is the old 3-2-1 Penguins! promo?
Yea! I found it shortly after making this video! I actually sent it too him and he was able to confirm all that too lol
That brings back memories
I genuinely couldn't remember if this show was real
That was.. interesting...
