    Really like these fitting videos as they’ll help me when I get fitted later this year. It also proves that a good fitting is not just about distance but more about dispersion, feel and consistent strike. Cheers.

      It can sometimes take a little longer to dial it in - ideally we would have got done slightly quicker but thankfully Jonathan lasted out well!

    I can confirm from personal experience what Simon said about PG not being in the business of selling clubs but ensuring the customer has the right clubs. When I came for my first fitting I got new irons but all they did was take 1/2" off the driver I had - cost was £10+ VAT which was a bargain, although I am sure it would be a bit more costly now!
    Next year I will be back for a wedge fitting

    Another win for Titleist head. I see their drivers coming on top on so many fitting videos. They seem to be great clubs. I'm really sensitive to the weight at the back of the modern high MOI drivers also. Great forgiveness, but i just can't square them.

    • @Precision_Golf
      @Precision_Golf  3 дня назад

      The GT head is doing well! A lot of players struggle to square the back weighted heads (myself included) which is quite ironic considering they are designed for forgiveness!

    Hi Simon, as a general rule, if my path is too much from the inside, a less tip heavy shaft should straighten out path?

    • @Precision_Golf
      @Precision_Golf  День назад +1

      Not always but sadly I can only answer “definitely maybe”! In the main though too heavy will get it even more behind you but be careful of playing a counter balanced shaft in case you lose too much feel for the head

    During these fittings it’s interesting how frequently people blame themselves for a “bad” hit as opposed to accepting the head/shaft combination just isn’t correct for them

      @aido3224 4 дня назад

      I think their standard mentioned before is 44.75 inches for shafts over 60g. My guess based on video is GT3 9 degree in D1 setting with Pro Blue 60 S

    Always enjoy the content and the process followed, however it seems that the high handicapper gets left out of the content, I.e. a rubbish swing is a rubbish swing, can this depth of fitting detail really help a high handicapper ? Nevertheless enjoy watching the developments 👍

    • @Precision_Golf
      @Precision_Golf  3 дня назад

      It can be difficult to get a higher handicap player to agree to be filmed which is why you do not see many of their fittings. Ironically there is a bigger potential improvement for the higher handicap player but being fitted can be intimidating, let alone being filmed as well but we will see what we can do!! Thanks for watching

    I'm surprised how quickly you skirted another TM head cracking Simon. The carbon face technology just doesn't seem to be working for them 🤔

    • @Precision_Golf
      @Precision_Golf  4 дня назад +1

      The Qi10 has been far better this year and it has been the bond to the frame failing in the past not the actual carbon face but I have seen incredibly few this year. I do think they have a little way to go to really optimise the face though

    • @KentnDebi
      @KentnDebi 4 дня назад

      @@Precision_Golf That goes along with the issues I’ve seen and heard of.
      The bond around the perimeter of the face has been a particular weak spot of the Stealth heads. It would appear that a lot of the failures are occurring to guys that keep their clubs in the boot/trunk of their cars. The bond, allegedly, fails due to change in temperature effecting the bond between face and body…does that sound right to you though when you think about the temperature and pressure involved in breaking the bond between head and shaft? I guess the air inside the head could also expand creating a pushing action against the face to force it apart???

  • @craigrock4193
    @craigrock4193 3 дня назад

    Can you just grip down the shaft 3/4 of an inch?. I see another off lpga ladies gripping down on there drivers a lot

    • @Precision_Golf
      @Precision_Golf  3 дня назад

      You can do this but it will affect the swingweight which can be taken into account further the gripped length but you need to be regimented with where you grip to otherwise the club will swing differently each time! Done elite players have always done it and do have created a habit (Brooke Henderson for example) and they feel more in control that way too so if it isn’t broken don’t try to fix it!

  • @freddym6643

    Spotted the Accra GX series on the wall while you were perusing the shaft options. Also seen your Hzrdus black gen 4 review. Do you have any thoughts on how the GX red compare to the hzrdus black? And what made you give Jonathan the Shogun green over the GX green, the tip weight?

    • @Precision_Golf
      @Precision_Golf  4 дня назад

      The GX Red will swing heavier in the tip end but also is a bit more stout feeling - a lot of shaft for the money those! I wanted the smoothness of the Shogun Green over the GX and the very slightly higher balance point too compared to the GX Green was also a factor

  • @aido3224

    Very rare to see Diamana GT pulled. Is it an outdated shaft or more of a fairway suited shaft if it’s mid and tip soft

    • @Precision_Golf
      @Precision_Golf  4 дня назад

      It is one of those shafts that is quite particular - it should feel more responsive than it does for the profile and that is most likely why it is not that regularly used

    • @aido3224
      @aido3224 3 дня назад

      @@Precision_Golf by responsiveness do you mean it’s a bit more on the firmer feel side for its profile is it? Would it be stiffer than the 1k pro blue so?
