Nadine’s voice is incredible but what I think is good for everyone to know is that Nadine said this was the hardest song she’s ever had to sing (and she’s sung a lot of different styles of song). I think she nailed it with the head voice. 🤪 With Nicola, you chose her best ever performance. I wish you’d have chosen Nadine singing I Put A Spell on You. It was fantastic.
Yes! I do agree this wasn't Nadine's best at all. Or her most recent. Nadine is still going strong and IPASOY (I Put A Spell On You) was haunting and beautiful. Since she chose Nicola and Cheryl's most recent performances (without moving much, like just standing there singing) then she should do the same with Nadine, Sarah and Kim - it's not her best performance vocally but Nadine has a gorgeous voice. I hope Georgina sees this and hears us out as fans. Xx

Absolutely agree with you. IPASOY is one of Nadines best live performance and it smashes the best of Nicolas performances of that time period. Nadines voice has gotten much much deeper since then but her voice still is powerful nonetheless.
Overall liked this video a lot, but one suggestion. If you’re going to review Nicola on her “What About Us” (Pink cover), you should review Nadine on a similar song & setting. Nicola was doing a ballad, standing still, with no competing guitar, heavy drum beat or dancing. Nadine is part of a bigger “rock” performance here. So... a bit apples to oranges. I love them both, so not complaining. Just a thought. Also... as to the solo albums, Nadine’s poor sales were a marketing/business issue I believe (only sold in Tesco, etc) rather than strictly music quality. Nadine & Nicola are clearly the best singers, regardless.
It's a real pity her solo career never took off, she had an amazing voice on Pop Stars and during GA's hayday. Her solo music just always fell flat and seemed a little dated or nondescript.
Kimberley fans will probably hate it but it would be instructive to critique the Comic Relief performance of "Defying Gravity". The latter part is the definition of "overshooting the runway."

Would’ve preferred you scored their pop stars performances as I feel you have picked the best performance Nicola has ever done and one of Nadines average ones. They are very different singers tho. Nadine is quite Belty and Nicola is more softer. Unfortunately Nadines voice is not what it used to be, she may have damaged it from belting so much but I still enjoy her.
Kimberley did an album of musical theatre covers called Centre Stage, with the lead single One Day I'll Fly Away. She performed it live at the NTA's and she was savaged for it.

I went to their recent concert last month for three times. Here's my thought: I don't understand why people think Nicola has the best vocal. Even so, she lacked stage presence. Her voice and her ad-libs were not often blended well with the other girls in their songs. Like Wake Me Up. Her falsetto was good, but her voice is not for these kinds of songs. It seems like she tried to outshine the others, but that's not how a girl band works. Nadine was a real package! She can sing well and her vocal is powerful. I am not sure why she added some weird twang once awhile, but she was consistent and carried the whole show. Nicola's voice sounded scratchy and strained with bum notes several times. She was not consistent. I also felt she held back once awhile. I felt like she tried so hard to keep up with Nadine sometimes, but the magic was just not there because she can't replace Sarah's inflection skills. Thus, I think it's unfair for Nadine by comparing this video to Nicola's performance. Their songs were from different spectrum. Regardless, Nadine is still the strongest vocalist among the group. Ranking Vocal 1. Nadine 2. Nicola 3. Sarah, and the rest My favorite 1. Nadine 2. Sarah ... the rest I blocked out.

You're right, I think when the Girls were together during their peak years (2003 - 2009) Nadine was technically the strongest vocalist out of the group, and since then I agree that Nicola has become the strongest. This is probably because she's gained more confidence, had more vocal lessons to make her voice and technique stronger, and the rest haven't done this - or at least done it to the same degree perhaps. Loving the girl band reactions, would be good to see you do Sugababes (when it was Mutya, Keisha and Heidi as they are who people commonly associate the Sugababes with, although Siobhan Donaghy also had a very unique and good voice), The Saturdays and Little Mix? Maybe what I'm saying is this wasn't the best example of her vocal technique? I did buy Girl on Fire and Go to Work and her vocals (as much as it's pop manufactured) are doing fantastic. Just saying - comparing this performance to Nicola's... Nicola is stronger, Nadine is stronger with theatricality (vocally) but she's also doing a musical song, whereas Nicola is standing there with a mic and her voice. I'd say Nadine and Nicola are on par in 2019. X
Nadine is easily the best singer not only in Girls Aloud. She has so much potential. Her stage presence, her voice, her hair flip is iconic. The only thing she needs is a good promo and better song choices. I love her album Insatiable. It is not the right time to comment on the mess Nadine has created by herself with it. Nicola is far behind her when it comes to dynamics in singing, the power and the stage presence. Nadine has always been the strongest vocalist on the band and that is one of the reasons the other four to be jealous of her.

I enjoy your videos! Although I think I might have been better to watch Girls Aloud when they performed their own songs. I myself like Nadine’s duet with Shane Filan "I could be". I still think she should go with this kind of music, it suits her voice and she is so much believable in music that has connection to her roots. She sounds sweet and vulnerable there. She keeps trying to be a fierless diva but she is trying so hard and overdoing it that it comes off almost as corny, and this performce gives me similar impression. Great voice is not everything when the singer seems disconnected from the music.

This is not a hate comment I love Girls Aloud, and all of the girls, but this wasn't the best of Nadine's, and especially latest performances (2012/2013)*with Girls Aloud of Love Machine, Biology and Can't speak French weren't good, she declined vocally, I said it's not a hate comment!
The other song she did from this musical is far better, more of a ballad than a belter. I think it's called I can see the stars. Much better and much softer than this song.
