- Comedian Eric Omondi has been arrested while leading demonstrations outside Parliament buildings in Nairobi.
Omondi was leading a group of well-built, shirtless young men in demonstrations, where they demanded the Government to lower the cost of living.
The youths donning black shorts and bare chests had brought business around parliament to a standstill, with onlookers milling around to watch.
First time I'm viewing Eric Omondi with a serious perspective in our social economic outlook. Yes, there is time for comedy, and time for hardcore issues. Congrats Omondi.

Youths deserve to be heard and respected, not silenced or treated unfairly. In Kenya, everyone has the right to peacefully demonstrate their views and beliefs. All voices should be heard and taken into consideration when making decisions that affect the nation. My US-born 17-year-old just watched this video with me and asked why the police arrested the protesters if they were assembling peacefully. I looked at him and honestly told him that everything in Kenya is one big joke including the president who prays for God to lift the economy instead of him using political and economic means to solve the countries issues.
