For future reference: if you climb those skinny towers that look a bit like the Space Needle in Seattle but with a vine coiled around it, those have waypoints at the top. You put one at your base and carry another, you can always set it down and teleport home and then go back to where you were :)

4:49 The blood moon is the rapid spawning of tons of mobs and should prevent sleeping. I don't know why it allowed that, but I've seen one other youtuber do that, and the blood moon rose on the next night.

Commenting now so hopefully funys sees this, SERIOUSLY, remove aquamarine. Beating the bosses is gonna require you to go into the water in the ice maze, and the creatures you’re gonna have to fight (and beat) are only gonna get more terrifying down there. (I’ll edit this if he mentions this in the video btw)

I remember adding this mod to a survival game without truly understanding how horrific it is. And after seeing fundy having a panic attack only from the anglerfishes (which are probably the LEAST scary mob in there) I can say that I really want him to go there, but to have a friend nearby over watching him, to quickly call for an ambulance when needed.

I know it's supposed to be a "challenge" but I feel like the scaling damage is too quick, you should either turn it down a little, or if possible, add a "quest" system, where you are given random tasks that reduce the difficulty level when you complete them, maybe make them timed, so you both need to finish the rather quickly and don't get stuck with a quest you cannot complete.
nah it's really not that unfair if Fundy knows how to cheese things in apotheosis
@@Num2OuO Maybe, I know it can get pretty ridiculous, but to get there you need a decent amount of materials, which I don't know if he has time to get, plus he doesn't seem like he knows how to cheese it

just so you know fundy, the green dragons are deceptively low healt they have like barely more health than the player, if you can get the to dive at you and get stuck under a roof you can kill them with two or three hits from an iron sword

You should still release this early version of the pack! Regardless of whether or not it's fair just yet, people would still want to try the version that you're playing right now and we'd love at least this version to play before the balanced one!
dude this is actually such a cool series. i’ve always wanted content like this from fundy.
Was really hoping he would find the pumpkin staff or the lantern that lets you summon the horse from the horseman, but I guess he missed it. The staff is quite powerful, letting you fire off the pumpkin projectiles he was launching at you. Way better than the goofy chainmail leggings he dropped.
Just got to the end of the episode, guess he’s got another chance at the staff

Oh hey, another youtube series that I can feed to my ADHD while working on my own modpack, splendid! As a side note you could add the atlas mod (Map Atlases) to navigate the world easier especially since the goal is killing like a gorillion bosses. Another couple of cool mods I wanna recommend are Second Chance (simply survive a lethal blow if you are at 7 hearts or above, it looks like unfair oneshots might become a theme in this playthrough so this can be super helpful to not completely lose your hairline), Parcool (a bunch of awesome movement stuff like dodges and more if you feel like having this sort of stuff) and Goety (a HIGHLY underrated mod that adds even more awesome bosses such as a teleporting hag with like 50 different splash potions from the mod which is fun to fight I promise, cool dark rituals like converting those pesky weirdo villagers into tamed rideable ravagers, and an ungodly amount of necromancy!). Anyway hope you have fun with these series!!
I love map atlases! I can't recommend it enough haha, I never liked the map on the screen and atlases feel so integrated :D, Parcool is fun and would probably help with survival in this as it provides easier escapes with 2x running speed and chances at survival from drops or climable 2 blocks or more, you can even strafe!, (there is a learning curve doe and you wont be able to use every movement in its arsenal (also buttons overwriting each other)) never tried second chance buts sound like a good fall-net just soo it won't make it too unfair, it just need the mobs to hit you again.
Goety sounds fun, I wonder why i didn't find it when i had a stint mix and moshing all the magic mods with no regards with compatibility. (all those stupid wands lol)
If those dragons are from 'ice and fire' i have a brilliant pro tip:
The ones that fly around above ground aren't actually that bad, you can beat them with minimum diamond kit.
It's the ones that live underground you want to be scared of, they're the tier 4-5 ones, and they hit hard.
If they aren't the dragons from 'ice and fire,' i cant help.
I believe they are called Amphitere (or something like that) and they’re from Mowzie’s Mobs. Way weaker, but with some vicious poison.
I think you’re talking about the green ones, yeah those are from Mowzie’s mobs and dodge arrows even more than I do taxes

fundy scaling health adds an ore that permanently increases your melee damage by 3, basically the only way to combat the difficulty

I miss Minecraft videos like these, modded worlds, where the youtuber just figures things out and tries to do all of the things you can do, while not being hyper edited, with minecraft bosses which are actually fun to fight, reminds me of the ore spawn days, this is currently my favorite minecraft series!!!
Agreed! I also like how it's HIS modpack, and that he's creating a challenge for himself. I find it really interesting, and I think it's definitely something people will be playing when he releases it (at least for a bit).

1:33 I'm pretty sure I know those dragons. At normal difficulty they're pretty weak, they take less than 15 arrows to kill (if I remember correctly).
they can spit poison (not that often) and spin towards you, (they're really annoying if you don't have a bow cuz they mostly stay out of reach).
3:53 there might be a tiny chance that that is bigger than the ones I remember...
18:13 ok yeah that's one of those. They're not very strong.
To improve the over all experience of the game and since there are 50 bosses! OmGaAWD! That is a lot. And I did hear you say that "You are making sure that it is beatable" Understatement unless if the player is in creative. Slow down the Difficulty meter.
1. Until a boss is defeated, the climb rate is perhaps 1of a 100,000th slower. This will give time for players to try to smash as many bosses as possible and mini bosses.
2. Once a player has killed a specific number of bosses or mini bosses in the game, then it gets slightly progressively harder over time....
3. Repeat #2 again by separating out bosses into batches and follow it up with #3
4. Give grace periods of up to a hundred in game days between to allow players to build up their arsenal so they can survive or smash bosses or explore and mark down what cords hold dungeons, mysterious structures, etc...
5. Given that players have a choice of progressively increasing the games difficulty by either smashing bosses or waiting 100 in game days depending on which comes first, smashing or waiting, then the games diff progress is sped up a little bit during those 100 days.
6. Once a certain number of bosses has been defeated then either a leap in diff happens or at the end of hundred days then half of that leap occurs. Let the players decide how fast they want to go. Slow and steady or quick and reckless.
7. Have the bosses drop some very important gear/item that could it be the achillea's heel against a specific boss, and this is random so send the players all over to find this one boss with cords on it along with a book. This would make the game more satisfying cause one piece of gear/item will best one boss but hardly works against another. This will force the player to strategize depending on the gear/item dropped how to take on the next boss.
so excited for the modpack launch! and for the videos in the meantime! these are really entertaining and cool!

Once you've finished refining the modpack, I and some others probably would enjoy to play the older versions (the ones you're playing on right now) in case you remove mods, just as a "not sure if this is beatable but you can play it anyways" sort of thing
I pove Fundy immediately wanting to make friends with a fox lol. Cant wait for Ep 3! Can't imagine how much damage the Strays deal on max difficulty.
If the difficulty scaling works on ALL mobs then maybe a summoner esk run where you tame every type of tameable mob would do wonders. Only if the damage and health increase works on your pets as well.

Tip:- you should make use of ur levels by enchanting that way reaching 10 levels will be easy and you can gain many hearts.
I think if you beat the pumpkin boss, you get his lantern which summons his horse for you to ride, and his staff that summons those pumpkin guys. Not sure why you didn't get them

A good backpacking mod would actually be sophisticated backpacks. I would recommend this because you obviously carry a lot of crap and you can have the backpacks carry it all for you and Even feed you from the backpack. Which would make some fights a lot easier.
My oly advice is make 2 versions of the pack. One with the increasing difficulty for the hardcore masochists and one without for the rest of us.

I have a crazy idea... absaoutely wild, no idea if it will work, but what if... in the game of Minecraft... you mine for diamonds........ and then craft armour. Insane thought, I know, no idea if it will work, but what more do you have left to lose?
But actually tho for a modpack that seems to be focussing on fighting fighting things does very little to help you increase in power, at least for earlyish game.

8:05 bro fundy you just defeated what was supposed to be one of the hardest boss fights with an iron sword. I watched a video from WelcominTV and he had to get maxed out gear just to defeat it while you just (well barley) managed to defeat it with an iron sword. WOW

im guessing theres apotheosis mod since theres enemy modifiers and gems if so u can stay at a spawner and grind good gems for a bit.. u can also upgrade spawners to spawn more and etc.. gems are a GOOOOD way to get extra hp and dmg
