Is MVR still good after rocket angle nerf? I find that if the opponent is good, they can just slightly angle against you and you do very little damage. Also, bomber RNG sometimes is a hit or miss on citadels.
It's just not as impactful Torpedo bombers are more of a quick in between and not absolutely main source of dmg . If they were to make a change to rockets or bombs... That would be far more impactful. Torp dmg sure is welcome but... It's not that of a massive improvement. Even maybe a secondary gimmick would be far better or something equally as funny
TLDR; 5% speed is a must pick for 99% of the carriers in the game that has access to it. Despite the legmod boosting the torpedoes and the torpedo bombers by a large amount, you’re still giving up the 5% speed from all three squadrons. In general, the 6th slot plane speed modification is a very large nerf to any squadron, and for mvr’s case, the rockets and dive bombers (since TBs HP is being buffed so this is compensated). In general, speed = survival/effectiveness. Less time to fly from point A to point B, less time stuck inside AA. As for the TB buffs, torpedoes are still lackluster in damage and mvr only drops three of them per strike. But regardless of the minimal damage increase, the utility and consistency of the torps were empowered thanks to the boost in HP and lowering the torpedo arming distance. This allows you to strike your torps with precision on the ship’s bow/stern for floods and breaking the engine or landing torps on DDs. If we use an example for this unique upgrade being a sidegrade and not an upgrade, the Midway unique upgrade is, imo, a sidegrade. Midway legmod gives up the speed since it takes up slot 6 and hurts the rocket/torpedo squadrons but enhances the damage and speed of it’s dive bomber squadron. It’s a trade off.
secondaries are only for dealing with dds that are rushing you. these have improved accuracy so it deals with them quite well. in the video, the only thing that i came in range was the submarine and he was dolphining so i did not expect any hits.

can you explain why the leg mod is a sidegrade and not just an upgrade? is the 5% plane speed upgrade really that much stronger than the leg mod?
