should we need to use the level shifter for the data flow from esp 32 to WS2812 chip or LED? as the logic levels are different for esp 32 (3.3 Volts) & WS2812 ( 5 Volts)?Kindly advice.
No sir, you only need a power supply and make this wiring: The esp gpio to the ws2812 data wire. The esp gnd to the ws2812 to the power supply gnd. The ws1812 vcc to the power supply vcc. You can find the wiring diagram at 00:56
@@cadioHomeAutomation Thanks for the reply. I have tested 2 nos of WS2812 leds on 2 different GPIO of esp 32 (16 & 17) as per the diagram you suggested. While in operation of first led from app it intermittently blinks second LED too. Tried with other GPIO also but same. what would be the reason?
❤ lovely and thanks for quick response My question is for a room we have the following devices 1) Fan 2) Tv 3) AC 4). Light 5). Heater 6 ) RGB And all this device will be on one Esp32 in a distribution panel which is not closer to the room I understand we will provide external power for the RGB + and - My question is the D terminal of the RGB, will distance not affect it communication
For the TV and the AC, and any device has an IR remote controller, with CADIO you can build an IR hub and control all those devices with IR signals, the IR hub is counts as one device, and you can assign unlimited number of remote controllers to it, so you can include it to the unit beside the other devices, I'm planning to make a video about it soon.
@mr.som3a181 if you are talking about using the ucs1903 (ic) to control regular rgb strip using 3 transistors, I'm sorry you are right, in this case it depends on the transistors current, and there is no software limit at all. But if you are using the ucs1903 based strip which I was using in the video, which is every ucs1903 ic is connected to one LED, the maximum number of the LEDs (ICs) is limited to 1024 . And in this case if you want to add more, simply split them as multiple devices, You can add up to 21 device per unit, so you can add multiple RGB devices, and wire a strip with the maximum LEDs (ICs) number to each device.
@@cadioHomeAutomation Yes, I meant the first way But which transistor do you prefer in this case and can Carry alot of current And thanks alot it was so helpful
Every unit with CADIO firmware must has a license to access and use CADIO system resources. After installing the firmware the unit will get the trial License, the trial License is valid for 500 operating hours, and can be renewed for an unlimited number of times by eraseing and re-installing the firmware. The permanent license gives the unit a permanent permission to use CADIO system resources, it is available to purchase from license management page, it's a one time purchase and valid permanently. After purchasing the permanent license, the unit will never lose the permanent license under any circumstances. Current price for the permanent license is $7.99 per unit, it can be purchased from license management page.
8$ is big money in my country but I don't know for others So for me to able to afford the 8$ I need to do the esp32 by 1 room hook up with multiple device
You can add up to 21 devices per unit, the esp32 firmware is available and after installing the firmware on the esp, all the next steps is the same, the only difference is that the esp32 GPIOs will appear in the info file, so you can choose from them
If you provide more options like WLED that will help us to automate staircase OR provide an option to integrate with wled
Are effects supported? Since they are not shown, I assume not. What is the point of addressable led strips if they are controlled in such a way?
It will be supported soon
@@cadioHomeAutomation nice. Do you thinking about adding support for servo motors maybe?

Neopixell led with rbgw like sk6812 support
Can you make a video for rgb leds withut chip. Using 3 gpios?
Is it possible for you to add functionality of WLED in the CADIO? With this, we can get full functionality of ARGB leds.
Thank you, this will be token into consideration during the discussion of future developments

For the RGB data pin, I think that a "room" is not a long distance, just make sure it is not too close to ac wires to avoid noise and emw effect
How many numbers of rgb led this can run?
Can you add to this rgb patterns, sound control etc.?
