My oppinion, the dial doesnt refflect the sporty exteriour, the hands look to elegant compared to the case, should be a bit more sporty....but its not that bad, would love it in khaki green or desert tan also.

Casio would do it better by making it full metal. But this ain't bad. I'm surprised by the movement that they used. It's a cheap movement but at least the accuracy is decent.

I can't decide between the skmei 1717 and the skmei 9112, in my city they are at the same price, which one would you recommend?

Well, pick you like more. The 1717 has a plastic case and is lighter. While the 9112 has alloy case. For everyday use I'd go with 9112. BTW, my brother still wears the same 9112 as in the video and it works OK so far (more than 5 years now).
