By far my favorite moutain bike channel on YT, I start every morning watching them before work or hit a trail. Great videos man! Just picked me up a 2017 Trek X Caliber 8 I'm dying to get some more practice on! Ride safe! keep up the vids

Thanks Ridge Rider!
Smooth with hint of rocky! Love it
Yeah, quite a nice little combo!
Another great video Brian. Really like the terrain and foliage North Carolina's trails offer. Such a change from what we have here in Arizona.
Definite change from AZ! I want to get down to AZ soon! Thanks for the love.
Another great video BK
Thanks Martyn!
Stunning NC. Next time we come to see family this is a must. As always ace video, thank you for sharing
My pleasure! I hope you get a ride out there!
Sweet riding in North Carolina! Get you some of that!
It was a blast!
I live in Asheville and have a mountain bike coming in a few months, hype to try some of this stuff out!
Love the breaks, makes it more interesting
Thanks dude! Always trying to improve
That trail looks amazing, I can only imagine how Awesome would look with all the greenery in Spring. hope everything is going well in NZ,
Yeah man, I've gotta get back to see it a whole other way! NZ is wet and rainy, but it's still pretty fun!
Its always, always a great fun going down what you've climbed up, that makes the rides really enjoyable! With a beginner its always fun too :P
Hell yes it is!
Welcome to Asheville here's some fire road to climb.
Hahaha, I'll have some more!
Hell yeah brian! Good to see you riding with whitewater paddlers. Been an Astral fan since the beginning with them, and one for life. Great company for us whitewater paddlers!!!
That's awesome! The water scares the hell out of me!

Nice vid Brian can't wait until it's summer here in Canada so I can get back on the bike

Thanks Sneak! We've got some good momentum!
Another great trail, nice and fast.
This was a real good one!
Your Channel and all this amazing riding is making me want my Nomad to turn up so quick. After having my heart ablation last week and selling my YT Capra due to it, this channel has got me buzzing to ride again. Hurry Nomad!!! Cheers BKXC and keep living the dream dude.
Awesome dude, hope you can get back out there and shred it up!!
BKXC 3 weeks time dude! can not wait cheers

Thanks Steph!
Hard uphill but is worth becouse in every case it comes a damn good downhill. Nice job Brian.
Exactly! The definition of Pain & Pleasure!
Love Astral Rastler high top for riding. Best gripping shoe I've ever found.
Oh nice!
Good Job!!!
Thanks dude!
Great ride! I think I'd be the one puking if I rode up that with you.
Hahaha, get on that trainer and be ready for St. George buddy!
I've been having a rough couple of days. The engine on my Jeep took a dump, so I'm now without a vehicle.
I'm a Patron of yours on Patreon, so I've already seen the extended cut of this video, but I watched this anyways.
It honestly made me feel significantly better, and I thank you for that, Brian. I'm hoping I can still make St. George, but it's not lookin' good. :(
Brutal man! Life happens and all we can do is respond and move forward. Onward and upward, brother!
riding here tomorrow!
Nice!
nice ride, cool to meet up with subs. for a ride maybe one day we could meet up out here in Colorado keep up the good work
I definitely will be back in Colorado one day, Steve!
Cool looking shoes!
Thanks man!
Good stuff!
Thanks Michael, it was damn good!
Really enjoy your videos. When you think of it please include the trailhead services (restroom/water). While I try to go prepared it's nice to know what services are available. Keep up the good work. P.S. Love the collaboration with Seth and Alex.
Thanks David! Definitely try to throw those in when I can!
You should come ride regency in Cary NC. It's off grid and there is some huge jumps
Nice!
What is ur best advice for a beginner Brian. I've Been watching a lot and you've gotten me riding a lot more.
Best advice is to ride with people that are faster than you. They'll have so much knowledge about local trails and will be able to get you moving faster!
Can anybody give me a list of the top 5-6 trails in Asheville?
Nice berm 2:25, But you should have jumped 3:24 as well ;-) I love when a trail offers me features, but I'm always very timid the first time around. I'd rather miss out and get home in one piece than huck everything and end up injured.
Another sweet ride. I'm in Oregon and we have wet/slick/muddy/snowy/icy conditions currently. I'd take 'slippery' leaves hiding some rocks any day.
Your videos remind me of the Endless Summer surfing movie. You are always someplace with nice weather and epic trail conditions. So jealous.
Yep, I'm almost always riding blind so if I'm not 100% confident on a drop or jump I don't mind wussing out! I've never seen Endless Summer, but those two words are DEFINITELY an inspiration.
hey dude, I love your vids 😊 I just really wanna ask you which bike is better specialized sworks enduro or santa cruz bronson? I saw that you went with the santa cruz though 😊 thanks
You've gotta ride em both if you're gonna get one! I'd say the Bronson.
BKXC I was gonna go for the santa cruz but i went the other way haha can you please tell me what makes the santa cruz better? thanks bro I really appreciate it.
It doesn't really matter what I think! Ride what you like!
thanks buddy, im always looking forward to your new vids 😊
BC and AB, Canada. Almost 9000 combined entries in Trail Forks...
You should review the 2017 Santa Cruz nomad cc
If I run into one I'll ride it!
Short but really good video
Thanks Jake!
What shoes are you wearing? Are they clip ons?
I’m one year late but all of his gear is in the description
👌🏽👌🏽👍🏼good job boys
Thanks Rafy!
Hey dudes, can a NOVICE with a high end hardtail and some Continental 2.2 X kings handle that--I have a 2016 Focus Raven max SL with XRC 1200 wheels, etc.. I use Race king RS but have new Xkings too
Sure
100% can, its not the bike, its the rider...
Next time you come to asheville let me know I will let you know were the most technical and fun trails are man. Bennet Gap, Farlow Gap, and also heartbreak ridge are some really good ones you should try a video on.
Awesome! Definitely tons more to ride!
Brian should I put wet lube on my bike for winter? And what kind of lube do you prefer and you should also do some videos of how to clean you're bike!!
Pgh_RyanT I use wet lube all year round in the UK
I use Epic Ride lube because it's "all around" lube and works for any condition.
I grew up here but I always seem to get kicked off trails. All the cool ones are designated for hiking only but that never stops me haha. I went riding up at Richland Balsam loop trail a while back but of course park rangers were waiting at the bottom. I would love to open up a bike park with some hardcore double diamond DH trails and a slopestyle course but I just can't afford it.
😁👍 nice
Sweet man. Do you use a microphone with your Gopro to get the audio that good?
Built in GoPro mic!
Sweet! Yeah the audio is awesome
how many hours a week do you average on the bike?
Not enough, when I get home from travelling I'm doing editing and working on the business. In a perfect world I'd do 3 rides for 2 hours per week.
Sick
☝️🎅 Ooooooh yeah, brother!
You should ride some bike parks next year
Definitely!
Hey I'm a sixteen year old kid who really really wants to get into mountain biking and I live near Asheville but I hate asking my parents to buy me stuff. Is there any bike you would recommend for under like 400 bucks?
Thor Jacobson used. And you can probably get a trek marlin 5 or specialized hardrock for about 400-500. Dont get marlin 4 though, the upgrade is worth the disc brakes
Iron Platypus said it better than I could!
Haha wish it was that warm in Cali
Yeah, I'm getting back home Saturday and the forecast looks CHILLY
Come to patapsco in MD
I'll look it up!
I was rewatching this and wondering two things... First, i signed up for the giveaway on a different account that isn't subscribed, is that OK? Second, do you ever actually toast your pop tarts? Iv never done it and I'm really curious if other people do
Whatever email you actually use is the one you should use for the giveaway. Yeah, when I used to eat pop tarts I definitely toasted them!
Bro, my fear is sliding off the edge of the trail lol
Thats my fear too, get the skills up, and up goes the confidence!!!!
Always on the edge!
Have you ever done a mtn bike stage race? Would you ever?
(BC Bike race, Trans Rockies, Trans Alps etc)
Yeah, I would love to! I don't think they'd make great videos, as my battery only lasts about 45 minutes before I need to stop and swap.
Is this the Green lick trail?
I forget, but my strava should be in the description if you want to check!
James Todd yes it is Greens lick.
Is he riding a 2017 Stumpy?
I think so!
6:16 is the tree I almost broke a collar bone on and jammed my skill into the dirt! lot of fun that ride was! the clay was nice and slippery in that area the day I was riding! I should add that I was laughed at in the parking lot that day before the ride, for wearing my full face helmet...Glad i didn't care what people thought of my gear!
When are you posting the winner of the giveaway
The contest is running for another week!
BKXC awesome. Looking foreword to your New Zealand videos the facebook photos look amazing
Do the trails not have a designated direction? Seems to be a bit dangerous to have riders going both ways.
Johnny Hall yeah, that gets me too. here they are all one direction but a lot of places you ride down what you rode up.
Johnny Hall Here in Colorado MOST trails (excluding shuttled ones) there are no designated directions. It definitely gives you an experience riding it from a different direction. But, it can be a bit scary and forces you to not just haul into blind corners.
Johnny Hall Most of the trails here in NJ go both ways but the are not quite as many epic climbs to epic decent. You pretty much mix it up and watch out for folks.
Very few trails in the area have directions, so you just need to be attentive. Of course there will be accidents, but they don't happen too often around here.
Skills With Phil I know I'm speaking for a lot of us when I say- it'd be great to see you hook up with Brian and/or Alex.. oh, and Seth again for some trail riding. I wanna see the pro ride with them.. that would be fun to watch.
Nicee
☝️🎅 Ooooooh yeah, brother!
WNC is known just as much, if not more, for the whitewater kayaking. And Astral make awesome shoes. Love Greenslick, that's my fav trail all time, you ripped it for your 1st time down! Green River Race: ruclips.net/video/zfir7iwqVfs/видео.html
Asheville NC: home of the loudest hubs known to man.
IceCreamTrucker I'm guilty to that stereotype
I was actually talking about Industry Nine hubs since they are located in Asheville.
Hahaha, I could hear them from miles away
👍📹👍📹👍📹
☝️🎅 Ooooooh yeah, brother!
can you please do more bike checks with the your riding buddies
Good call!
Pain, puke and pleasure!
Hahaha, add one to the list!
Nov 18 is my b day
Nice!
Brian, I would like to donate some money to you, for you channel, but how? I'm living in The Netherlands, please response 👍🏼

How normal people feel when they see me tearing through stuff, so condescending, not quite as special as you think you are.
Hey brian my name is Brayden I dm you on Instagram
Hey dude! I don't answer my DMs on Instagram, but I do answer my email, so send me one: bk@bk-xc.com
I hear banjo music! Peddle faster!
Hahaha!
I've been away for a long time and thought I would see if you had cleaned up the language but I see you have not so another disappointing video. I want to learn from the videos but refuse to watch with such strong language. Rated R for profanity.
Tons of other creators out there now, I'm sure you'll find someone!
