  • Semantic memory is the aspect of memory that stores general knowledge and facts about the world. It includes information such as meanings of words, concepts, and factual data that are not tied to personal experiences. Unlike episodic memory, it does not involve remembering when or where the knowledge was acquired. Semantic memory enables us to understand language, recognize objects, and use knowledge to navigate daily life.
