I remember seeing Chris do Stormy Monday Blues on one of the early episodes of the Rick Wakeman produced series Gas Tank from way back in 82' or 83'. He performed it with Wakeman's house band, and playing guitar for Wakeman's band that night just happened to be none other than the late, great Alvin Lee of Ten Years After fame himself, and mercy did old "Captain Speedfingers" ever light it up.
Like Stan Webb, Chris is the true face of British blues as in this great performance. Forget the rubbish from Clapton. Look at the comments from John Mayall about Crapton.
I started from the beginning, and I want only one THING to know. Are coming all the minor and major chords, what's the essential in this song, or it is just another really shit version of the legion of other "superstars"? Ok... THEY GOT it...Very good.
The Great Chris Farlowe!
Chris du bist so ein geiler Typ!!!!!!
This guitar player is definitely something else...wow

Chris is one of the last Dinosaur!
All of his health might be failing, to paraphrase an old blues, but his voice has only gotten better since the Sixties.

The best version of this song is by Mayall and Pete green , No sweat .
@@briantranter4317 Peter Green the best guitarist John Mayal ever had. Cheers Brian and George. ✌️

Crikey...who is the guitarist ?...there. Is a very unusual degree of control and subtlety here..name please
I believe it's Krissy Matthews, he preforms a lot with Chris Farlowe and the Hamburg Blues Band. www.krissymatthews.com/

The arm is no good . But the voice is the same
I'll take Alvin Lee any day. May he rest in peace.
He could never quite live up to the legendary Eric Burdon, but seems to be holding his own in his advanced age.
A fairly stupid comparison. Both great in their own ways
Eric is a great singer, whilst Chris is supernatural.
