Thanks for the video. My team is heavily turning towards quick teams, so a few of those tips really helped. Unfortunately Skadi is no longer an option for me. I tried rolling for her, it didn't work out and so I will wait for the five star ticket to get Waver (And not only because I want him and my Iskandar to be reunited. Not at all...okay, maybe a bit.). With how things are going in jp right now with new support Servants, maybe there will also be another quick option aside from Skadi. I will take a look around my Assassins who can help my Atalanta. I got Da Vinci (rider) and haven’t taken her out of my team since, Arts teams are fun with her. There’s something fun about using my NP every turn or every other turn
Guess I'll guess what will be said. Alex would probably be the closest thing to a f2p quick support to support in mutiple ways but also recommend Hans as despite being arts based he is still very good overall giving charge and crit damage. I'll throw in summer ishtar for those who have her as a semi main DPS as she can do damage while also support the team as most quick units would get help with her support. Whale wise standard aoe units skadi while st like kintoki rider and okita saber are great units on thier own and with skadi are super nukes. Weakness are card damage when you don't crit or have your buffs up but high crit star making with the units overall.
I didn't want to put too much into the beginner's guide and scare people away from quick teams. I probably should have mentioned Alexander though, I regret leaving that out. Eventually I need to make an intermediate guide to quick teams as a follow up. Good luck with Space Ishtar!

That would be great, I wish you could crit with an NP. As it stands, the normal cards can do a lot more damage, especially with the right buffs. If you use double Skadi with Primeval Rune or double Merlin with Hero Creation, you can do some monster crit damage.
quick teams are very fun and probably the coolest to play around with, but nothing will ever beat the dopamine of seing Heracles pop up from the backline with 2 fucking Gong buffs and 50 starst on the field, to then buster brave chain goetia straight to hell in one turn. for this alone i have to give the crown to buster teams, i'm sorry
So many great Servants that it's hard to chose! Space Ishtar is good in Buster, Arts, or Quick teams, but not the best at any of them. She's awesome for newer players that don't have dedicated options for each card yet, but becomes less useful over time. I still like her because she's unique though, so I'll be rolling for her. Super Orion is a Buster Crit monster, which high natural star absorption as an Archer. He is super useful for killing tough bosses if you pair him with good Crit Star generators like Jack. He's less useful for farming though. Skadi is arguably the most useful out of any of the three. Long term she remains a top tier Servant and makes a lot of three turn farming teams possible. In the long run, FGO is more farming than anything else. Her biggest weakness is that she's not strong on her own and doesn't help you much if you don't have the right Servants to build those awesome three turn farming parties. In the end, I always go with the Servants I love over the ones that are most useful though, so you have to go with your heart!

The truth is, the thing she is most known for is three turn farming teams. Skadi, Skadi, and a third Servant who can get at least 50% NP refund from their AoE Noble Phantasm in the right circumstances (like your Berserker Lancelot). In a fight against a single tough boss she can still be useful though. If you combine her with Servants like Kintoki Rider, Jack, or Melt, who have strong single target NPs, she can help them use their Noble Phantasms faster and hit harder. She also makes makes your team a little more durable by cutting the enemy crit rates with her second skill, and reducing their crit damage while applying a party wide evade with her NP. Her NP is arts based, but she still has two quick cards in her deck so hopefully you can still pull off a fair number of quick chains. With 4 hits on her quick and buster cards, and 5 on her extra card, she's not terrible at star generation either.
Relatively new to FGO, but I’ve got three SSR so far: Okita, Scathach, and Kama. I noticed all three are quick servants so is there a good way I can utilized them?
I like Quick teams but their biggest flaw is that they heavily rely on RNG to crit. If you're unlucky, the wrong cards will get the stars and even a 80-90% chance to crit will sometimes miss and screw your turn. Sometimes even a 10% crit chance can screw you by killing a mob when you didn't want to. I really dislike RNG and already have issues with damage having min/max roll you can't control. So the random star weight each turn that just add more RNG to the already RNG dependant mechanic makes me mad sometimes. Also the fact that in more than 3 years, I only got 1 2030 CE. That doesn't help, lol.
Only 1 copy!? Oh no, I'm so sorry. I am wishing you luck. I was fortunate enough to pull 4 2030's, but I've been waiting for that final copy to MLB for a long time now. I agree that RNG can be frustrating, but that's true in Arts and Buster teams also where you need to get the right cards to form chains also. With the crit stars you have a couple options to try and mitigate things at least. Any skill that adds/removes stars or increases/decreases gather rates will force them to reallocate themselves. This gives you a second chance at distributing them better if need be. Ditto for anything that reshuffles the cards (like Bunny Ruler) or the Servants (like Chaldea Combat Uniform). Alternatively, generating more than 50 stars per turn is pretty effective :)

Star gather skills are great, I just wish DW would bump them a bit. Excepting eternal arms mastery and its 5000%, most of them are too low to really guarantee 10 stars gather. Special mention to MHXA king invisible hand who is so bad that it can raise the target star gather instead of lowering it due to the basic card RNG. In the end, I feel like some of the best crit team can be done without Quick Servant, which is sad. Jalter/Jeanne/Merlin is a good example, Jeanne and merlin can provide with their skill/NP + 2030 and Jalter gather them to crit really hard. And when a no Quick team is better at your main selling point, something's wrong. Thank god, Skadi showed up to save Quick but now she's been powercreep in JP by Castoria and Koyanskaya. Hoping DW next plan if for Quick.
Buster crit teams based on 2030s instead of Quick Servants does make Quick feel a little underappreciated, that's true. Skadi really brought them back from the dead and I'm enjoying her spotlight time in NA right now. Having Castoria and eventually Koyanskaya will probably shift people to farming with Arts or Buster though. I would love to see something cool and new for Quick again.
Great video, but did you get into "what situation is better to choose what card type?" That was something I was looking forward to learning as that is the thing I lack the most when trying to use quick teams.
@@FGOTips My bad, I meant "when trying to use quick teams" You mentioned in this video that arts and buster teams, you want to have chains. On the other hand, quick teams, whatever card type you can on your hand are all good. So, I was thinking, maybe you'd get into some pointers on stuff like "this card and this card tend to go together in this situation" or "as a rule you use these cards first and then these cards next round" Or "Always use arts before quickcards...etc" Basically getting into the details on card useage and combinations.
@@Shootingfoul Good question, and a little hard to answer. You usually do want to make Quick chains when you can, because they will generate the most critical stars and make all of the cards on your next turn better. If you can't, I try to use Buster cards second most of the time. They do the best damage and make more stars than Arts cards. If you can get an Arts chain and fill a lot of your NP gauge it's okay to do that also. All of the cards work well if they have critical stars on them, and that's one of the things that makes a Quick team nice. The down side is that it's a little harder to decide which cards to pick sometimes.

The paid GSSR for New Years let's you pick which class you want to roll for. If you pick Caster, you have a one in six chance of summoning Skadi. Unfortunately there aren't any more regular banners coming up :(
Pretty good beginers guide, but I feel you should have talked more about servants that generate stars with their passive skills and/or active skills. Like Lancelot saber, who is the best servants in the game.
I struggled a lot with how much information was appropriate for a beginner's guide. In my original draft I talked about building a team with one or two star generators and one or two main damage dealers, and featured Servants like Lancelot who has an awesome crit star absorption skill. But the more I talked through it, the more it seemed pretty complicated compared to the beginner's guide to Arts or Buster. Maybe I should do an intermediate guide with a lot more information, then make Skadi part three :)

Damage dealing NPs should also absorb crit stars. It's weird seeing a single buster card dealing more damage than NP.

Buster crit teams based on 2030s instead of Quick Servants does make Quick feel a little underappreciated, that's true. Skadi really brought them back from the dead and I'm enjoying her spotlight time in NA right now. Having Castoria and eventually Koyanskaya will probably shift people to farming with Arts or Buster though. I would love to see something cool and new for Quick again.
I have skadi, but i don't have any good quick servant, most of my servant are buster, only astolfo saber here and berserk lancelot 💀

Great video, but did you get into "what situation is better to choose what card type?" That was something I was looking forward to learning as that is the thing I lack the most when trying to use quick teams.
Do you mean when to use a quick team vs other teams? Or when to use certain cards while you are running a quick team?
@@FGOTips My bad, I meant "when trying to use quick teams" You mentioned in this video that arts and buster teams, you want to have chains. On the other hand, quick teams, whatever card type you can on your hand are all good. So, I was thinking, maybe you'd get into some pointers on stuff like "this card and this card tend to go together in this situation" or "as a rule you use these cards first and then these cards next round" Or "Always use arts before quickcards...etc"
Basically getting into the details on card useage and combinations.
@@Shootingfoul Good question, and a little hard to answer. You usually do want to make Quick chains when you can, because they will generate the most critical stars and make all of the cards on your next turn better. If you can't, I try to use Buster cards second most of the time. They do the best damage and make more stars than Arts cards. If you can get an Arts chain and fill a lot of your NP gauge it's okay to do that also.
All of the cards work well if they have critical stars on them, and that's one of the things that makes a Quick team nice. The down side is that it's a little harder to decide which cards to pick sometimes.
i started 2 days ago with a fresh rolled account i purchased (sorry if that bothers anyone but im lazy and i wanted a start with Skadi). Im looking forward to more tips on using her effectively as a complete newby :)

when will skadi banner rerun again??
The paid GSSR for New Years let's you pick which class you want to roll for. If you pick Caster, you have a one in six chance of summoning Skadi. Unfortunately there aren't any more regular banners coming up :(

Pretty good beginers guide, but I feel you should have talked more about servants that generate stars with their passive skills and/or active skills.
Like Lancelot saber, who is the best servants in the game.
I struggled a lot with how much information was appropriate for a beginner's guide. In my original draft I talked about building a team with one or two star generators and one or two main damage dealers, and featured Servants like Lancelot who has an awesome crit star absorption skill. But the more I talked through it, the more it seemed pretty complicated compared to the beginner's guide to Arts or Buster. Maybe I should do an intermediate guide with a lot more information, then make Skadi part three :)
