@@fasttechvideo my ps5 shuts off, when I load games the shit get real loud then shuts offs, but this time after I deeply cleaned it i do not need to unplug then plug it back up, To start her back up.
For those needing help to put the black screws in the plastic around the perimeter… I will try to explain as best I can, first if you’re looking down at the console the disc drive should be on the right. The 2 longest screws with coarse thread (thread spaced farther apart) go into the top right and the bottom right. These two holes do not have an arrow next to them. The hole to the top of the disc drive and the left corner of the disc drive get the fine thread screws. These screw holes have a triangle outline arrow. The 6 screws with the coarse thread go along the perimeter of the ps5. These screw holes have a solid black arrow. Once you look close you can see the difference between the solid black arrows and the arrows with the outline. Then like he said the 2 screws left (which both should have the fine machine screw threads) go into the back. It’s imperative you do not put the 2 longest screws into the back YOU WILL DAMAGE THE MOTHERBOARD AND WILL HAVE TO HAVE IT PROFESSIONALLY FIXED! I hope this was clear enough to understand and helps those that need it.
@@bharatv5587 there were so many videos on how to take it apart but this one was the only one I found to put it back together. I almost had a heart attack when it wasn’t put together clearly in this vid. Luckily I did some research and with the help of that and some other videos and comments I found out what screw went where. I’m glad I was able to help someone else out.
I still have a screw left! There are two of them, one went in the fan (the longest from the fan) but the other I can't figure out, was it inside the ps5? Cause I can't nowhere find a hole or even the arrow with the smaller arrow inside (the only one you did not mention)
Thankfully I didn't brick my console but I should've recorded myself unscrewing. I thought my USB ports were the problem. It was an issue with my external drive
@9:46 you did a great job at explaining the size and color of the fan screws here. If you make another video, can you do the same for the other screws please
Thanks having some issues with a disc drive on a friend's system. The HDMI port has been repaired. When the system came, it was producing grinding noises from the disc drive. We discovered that the noise was caused by a tiny misalignment in the gearing for the disc drive motor, so we fixed the gearing and the noise has gone away. We have adjusted the gearing and cleaned the rollers, as well as tested the disc drive mechanism and its ability to accept discs accurately. I thought it would be the drive motor however this was fixed by realigning the gears and drive mechanism. The strange thing about this drive is that I tested the disc drive without the metal top cover and it works wonderfully. Once the top metal cover and plastics are replaced in the system, it is difficult to take in the discs. It sometimes requires a little bit of effort and jiggling around until the disc drive detects a disc and pulls it in compared to when the metal cover from the top of the disc drive is removed. The rollers have been cleaned, and I don't believe they are the source of the problem to a certain degree the problem is gone but I feel it should take the discs as seamlessly as when the cover is removed. .
Fantastic video and practical. You're right about no video that show you how to reassemble the ps5. Thank you for doing and keeping this video online. It really and truly helped me rebuild the system back into its original state!

Which I have fixed due to me taking it apart. Thanks.

My problem is.. I took my system apart to clean the dust out. I had every screw laid out in the order I removed them so I could put it back correctly. And my dog jumped on the bed and they all got mixed up .
After being convinced that i had to be the one to take apart my ps5 because my hdmi port wouldnt show the display screen. I caved and took it apart to clean the dust that was in the system. I had zero issues taking all the screws out, but severe issues when trying to place all the screws back in the correct area. Im not a fan of having to guess which "long" screw was used in this video. It was fairly simple, until the 10 minute mark. Saying "long" screw when there are 2 long coarse, 1 tall noncoarse, 2 medium noncoarse, and the small black screws that hold the frame together. The amount of frustration trying to figure out if a screw fits properly or if its just the wrong type is a hell i never wanted to be in.
