Can’t wait to try this, Iv got to ask though after trying this a few times myself ... how many goes did it take till you to land this ? and how often do you nail them now a days ? 😅
Hey dude! Stoked you're gonna get out on the water and try this. Ja so it definitely did take a few tries in the beginning and even more to get them consistent when i started, i found my biggest mistake was trying to throw them while i was still edging, but now days i very seldom fall on one :) let me know if you have any more questions.
Matti Buys the few times I have tried them, Iv not edged out and been directly under the cable flattened off. I think edging out and then flattening might give me a bit of slack in the cable and not pull me over the front of the board 🤞👍🏻
Hi Matti, thanks for these, I've just bought a new wakeskate and your the only one doing these tutorials and they are helping loads. Please keep it up, I have a surfing background but living in Singapore now and this sport is the only thing that I'm interested here.
Hey Dude! Ah man thank you so much! I am so stoked to hear that these are helping you! I definitely understand what you're saying about the surfing. Thats the best part about wakeskating, 1 second you feel like you're kickflipping a skateboard and then straight after you can do a big carve as if you're on the wave! Its the best of both!
Haha, for sure dude! i definitely know that feeling! Just make sure you focus on everything 1 step at a time. Don't be scared to fall a few times focusing on doing 1 thing right before moving on to actually landing the trick and riding away.
Hey Matti I am now trying this trick for second season (its my second season riding too) and I am still not got it done anywhere close to 100%... most of the time I just fell on my back, I try to be really nice and low before pop, concentrate on having my shoulder over the front edge, chest over board, firm forehand and handle low. I catch the board 99% of time, land it 90% of time but then I just goes into squad and hit the water with my ass and most of the time fell down. Its weird as I really try to have weight over the board during pop, but I probably falling back afterwards...I try this on my heelside, all the time, I found out that trying this relativelly close to turn helps me out (I also got this palce reccomended by locals) as there is a great chance that rope will pull me up if I am falling back there. I am trying this in cable park. Anyways, If I manage to land it, even then most of the time I am pretty close to water with my ass...could it be that I am just trying to bend my legs too much and never actually push the skate back down - so landing down with legs bended ? I know its hard to tell from reading but maybe you saw somebody struggling like I do :D Thanks !
I think I just figured it out after watching this video just before my last sesh yesterday. Two things I adjusted and sudenly I got it every second try or so. Lean more on toes - I am used to squads with barbell so I am naturally pushing into my heel. Second thing is that I do not squat as deep on pop (I dont really pop it for now anyway) so I land with a bit straighter legs. Thanks for great video ! I would really love to see how to olllie 360 video :)
Hey mate. Is it more difficult to make shuv it from kicker ? or it is easier from water ? I just learnt to land a simple kicker jump and my next plan is to learn shuv it. thanks for tuts mate... it is awesome
DalalaLt hey dude! Man thanks so much for your feedback! Really really appreciate it. It’s definitely easier to learn off the water first and is a good platform for all the different ways you can do them. So I would definitely say do it off the water first. 🙌🏾. Let me know if you have any more questions.
@@TheWakeskateChannel goood mate! I will ask you something definitely after I will try to learn this! Thanks for fast reply! Greetings from Lithuania 🇱🇹
Hey Andreas! Thank you so so much for sending your question on dude. Always love getting them. So it’s entirely up to you and your personal preference, my roomate for example learnt and prefers front shuvs, where as I learnt the backside variation first. So if you feel better on the front shuv then go for it!

Great movie 😀. What speed do u recommend to wake behind a jetski for tricks like this?
Daniel Lundblad thanks so much Daniel! So I would recommend going around 19-21 mph on this trick. That’s a good safe estimate for it.
@@TheWakeskateChannel okay thank you
what wakeskate are you riding ?:)
❤❤❤
I hope it helps dude!

DalalaLt anytime man!! So happy to hear there are wakeskaters shredding in Lithuania 🙌🏾🙌🏾
Hey Matti, should I learn Front or Back Shuv first? I feel like the Front Shuv scoop is easier, but everyone tells me otherwise :/
