David wrote this song for his beloved brother Adam while his was battling brain cancer... he went on Idol 3 weeks after he passed ... dedicated it to him and gave all proceeds to find a cure for this horrendous disease... heart tugging and beautiful.

This almost made me cry. I love David. He's so strong for being able to get up and perform that song on stage. It was such a great performance btw. His vocals were amazing and you could just feel the emotion. And the tears in his eyes at the end ... so touching. RIP Adam Cook

When this song came out I lost my 11 year old rottweiller, he was my bestfriend and was an amazing dog, for a breed with such a bad reputation, he was very kind and empathic, playfull when younger and a fighter when sick, the day he died he couldn't stand up even if he tried as I went to say hello just before leaving to school. A few hours later I got a call from home saying he died, he fought to the very end and said goodbye in his own way. I went back home and carried him to the vet who took him to cremate. Everytime I listen to this song I remember him.

this goes out to my soccer coach jay...who died today at 3:30! He was the best soccer coach ever...please even though u don't know him...pray for him and his family...he has 2 kids who won't grow up with a dad...just take a second to pray towards him and his family...thx!!!! I LOVE U JAY!!
I think about my dog when I hear this song a little boy dropped him and ever since he was acting different I think he had fluid in his head like me and I knew he was living in hell everyday but when my nephew threw him against the freezer and when the vet guy said there was nothing he could do I knew it was time for him to get put down couldn't let him go through more pain it broke my heart watching him trying to get up
