Sinner is wise and I think he will rather be patient and rest instead of risking the rest of his career.
LATELY , TOO - OO CRAZY - STUPID WRONG NONE SENSE RULES ARE INDUCTED?!! THE VIEWERS WILL & DO NOTICE THAT?!! THEY DON'T HAVE THE DESIRE, TO GO AND WATCH TENNIS ANY MORE!!
this aged well
Get some rest Sinner. Plenty tournaments after the FO
not much before Summer Olympic though. This must be his focus.
@@luuduonghy659Wimbledon is much more important!
This is not an injury you usually heal from. Same thing Andy had. Tennis was never meant to be played with repetitive wiper movement from left to right. Novak lead everyone down a rabbit hole. He has superhuman flexibility but it is not meant for everyone. Daniil also having issues with his hip.
SINNER MY GOOD MAN, THERE IS GOOD, IN EVERY BAD? HAHH? SO WHAT?? YOU WILL GET A NEW / FRESH BREATH? YOU WILL GET TO HAVE A LAPS OF REST & A BIT MORE FREE TIME? HEY? THEY WANTED IT SO? ITSFOR YOUR OWN GOOD! = TAKE CARE.
I want him to play, but 5 sets would be impossible with a hip injury.
Even if Sinner plays, I wouldn't expect him to advance too far in RG. It's better for him to recover and be one of the favorites for Wimbledon.
Exactly. Also clay is the most physically brutal surface for the players so he's likely to aggravate his injury more.
@@orchidpanda2253no hard is known to cost the most injuries. It’s way harder on the joint.
As of to date, 05 June, 2024, Sinner is now in the Semis against Alcaraz.
Part of being a legend is not just talent which he has but great physical make up
He is not the only player to be cheated out of his career due to injuries
Rest is a must at this stage for Sinner and Alcaraz
Tennis needs these players for the future or the game will be worse off
They both redline their games and the strain on the body doing so is massive and possibly not sustainable
This is a reminder how great the big three were to reach over 35 years of age and still be at the top of the game
Well said
Yes, just ask Delpo and Dominic Thiem. I don't think Zverev has ever gotten back to the high level he was at when he wrecked his ankle
Sinner is wise to take it easy......he will return in good health I'm sure
@@ocsugar I think he has, it is just Novak is back on tour and he is now blocked by an improved Medvedev, Carlos and Yannik.
Seems so odd to give this a thumbs up because as a fan I want to see Sinner every chance we get. So, my thumbs up is for your report Cam, thanks for keeping us informed!
Listen he is young so it's best to take care of himself and be prepared for the other tournament.. It's better to play while you're healthy. we'll see him next R. G and the rest and get better ..Mr Gucci
Play the long game Jannik. You’ll still achieve #1 regardless. Forza!!
that won't be easy to achieve #1 sadly, we might see Alcaraz super comeback, the growth of Medvedev.
@luudupmghy659 he can be #1 after RG if djokovic doesn’t make the final
I hope he skips RG - mainly for his health, but also because it would be better to be fully healed for Wimby.
He should consider dropped out Wimbledon too because he will lost energy after Wimbledon and there won't be enough time for him to recover before Summer Olympic, if he return and get another injury. Chance only had once.
@@luuduonghy659lol....
Oh yeah, but I definitely think grass will be the next time we see Sinner. Unfortunately.
he is in big trouble for this year Summer Olympic.
hip injury already at his age ? that's not looking good for him.... Hip injury is one of the worst you can get in Tennis and it's really surprising he's already having trouble there.
i think sinner will not play R G and listen to his coaches and his medical team. i am thinking Wimbledon is in doubt as well. thanks for the news Cam
No grass no
@@stefciko5831 agree because if he play, he will had lower chance of winning Summer Olympic 2024 Tennis
He not even favourite in grass anyway.
Disappointing for Sinner and fans if he doesn't play but not worth it if it's going to make situation worse. Sounds like an ongoing issue even if described as 'not serious'.
The stamina that the big 3 developed over the years took a lot of discipline and hard work. The new players must work on that area and not risk the injuries they will have by playing so many tournaments every season.
It is sad to see such young excellent players injured, like Sinner and Alcaraz when they are barely beginning their careers!
Man!!! So many hurt!
Dropped a like and a comment for the algorithm 👍👍
The ATP better hope there are no more injuries ahead of RG
Get well Jannik. According to Roddick, Sinner sustained the injury while training during Madrid b/c the tour schedule is so crammed that was the only time he had to train. I hope ATP eliminates the 1.5 week Masters, and also mandatory Masters policy for top players. They're putting greed above players' well being.
Worrying news for Sinner. Hope he overcomes this hip injury and is able to fulfil his full potential. Patience needed here and he has to listen to his body.
Hi Cam, I don't think we will see Sinner until the Cinch Championship in London. So next on Grass
He doesnt play queens, he plays halle
As much as I would love for Sinner to participate at Roland Garros, I agree it’s best for him to skip it. He’s in a substantial lead on the ATP race and plenty of enough tournaments still to go for him to excel. Let’s hope he’s ready for grass and Olympics which I think he will be.
Rest, your future is ahead of you!!
I really hope Jannik Sinner will be return soon and can play at his old successful level🙏🏼😇
I will wait for the official announcement (there are many rumours etc.) but I trust Jannik implicitly to make the right call. He is, as another comment said, extremely wise and sensible. Yes he wants to win Slams, yes he wants to be number 1 but he won't risk his career, he knows he's playing the long game. Also he has hardly any points to defend at RG so if he has to skip one, better it's this one.
This makes me so sad 😞 I miss him. And the lack of his presence has really been felt. It’s like something is missing in the sport and it’s him.
Get better Jannik Sinner🙏look after your body and you will be back stronger winning many more grand slams💙💙💙
It hurts, but the wise move would be to rest.
I assume his goal is to be a top player for 15 yrs, not just in 2024/25.
Rest well. Very wise move.
Carlos and Jannik should timely peak at different slams 😊.
Hope you get well soon Jannik Sinner from an Indonesian admirer
He definitely does not want to make the same mistake that Andy Murray has done. Murray played through hip injury to achieve the YE #1 over Djokovic in 2016, and after that he was paying it with the rest of his career.
yeah, it hurt Murray for longer run as 2017 mark disastrous season for him and he never recovered from that.
This is very sad. He’s weighing up. The rest of his career or miss one slam ? Career has to be the main reason.
Take care, Sinner! ❤ see you back when you're better!
God bless you Sinner! Heal quickly.
Rest up Is paramount, tennis is harsh on the body especially for the professional players who demand so much fro their own physical. Sinner can't take any risk, even if he needs to retreat for a period, so be it.
I wish him a speedy recovery 🙏🏻
Well are there any other predictions?
RG without Jannik 😢.! But rather heal and take time out. My no 1 person/player ❤
Soooooo sad if Jannik can't play at Roland Garros 😮 but he has to follow his own intuition together with his doc's advice ☝🏽 Hope to see him soon play again, forza Jannik 💕
Oh no😔
Nooooo. 😢
Get well man
That’s super sad
Listen to your body, #JannikSinner! And come back healthy.
!
Curious to see who wins this time. Rublve/Tsitsipas/Medvedev/Djokovic/Rudd
Is alcaraz also not playing?
None of the others have a chance against Djokovic. They will hand it over
@@saratchandradeevi alcaraz is not fit enough. He lost to a low ranked opponent last tournament. No hopes on him.
@@nandeeshsit Rublev, tsitsipas, Medvedev and Ruud are known for losing to randomly low ranking opponents. No consistency at all.
Principal Sinner needs to eff off and let some other people win, this future legend has the rest of his career.
That is so very sad, but it already sounds like it is chronic 😢
If the doctors have said no I don't think he will play 😥
I think he is eyeing Wimbledon and that is a very prudent decision given that clay courts are not his forte and Grass is his second favourite surface.
PLEASE LISTEN TO YOUR BODY...YOU R STILL YOUNG AND HAVE TIME TO BECOME THE CHAMPION
Well, he's IN. Playing veteran Gasquet in next round. Should be a good match.
How sad. Everybody seems to be affected by injuries.
Sorry for Jannik. I Don't think Sinner will play RG, and he shouldn't, it's all about long term career!
Young man should be smart and rest that hip. Lots of tennis is ahead for him.
Absolutely the best decision. I couldn't believe he was actually considering playing to begin with. Pushing to play 5 set matches on clay is the last thing he needs at this point. This is a very delicate situation that must be handled with extreme care. The short term decisions he makes now can have lasting impacts on his career either good or bad. Taking an extra month or 2 off to ensure his body heals properly is much better than losing possible years of his career by coming back prematurely
Lo mejor para Sinner.!!! Es muy triste que haya sido en Mónaco q se agravó de su cadera
Justo en el partido, cuando le robaron un quiebre.😢
Dios le de todas las oportunidades para ser el # 1
Thats sad. But hr has to recover fully to grace the court.. ...
Only a few months ago I was making reservations on the longevity of Sinner's career because of the enormous tax he puts on his body with this playing style. The backlash was quite something. I'm of course only more worried now and more so than about Alcaraz, whose style is also powerful but more relying on muscle strength and pure skill than on the type of engineered mechanics Sinner has.
We'll probably continue to see more variety and unpredictability on the tour, than a "new big 2/3"
This is why all predictions of greatness and future success are so pointless: You never know who the injury bug decides to bite, nor when.
That’s a crushing blow to his chances of becoming No. 1 but it’s prudent. I’m sure he’ll get second and third opinions on when he has fully recovered.
@Ramzar50 Djokovic has to reach RG final for sinner to not be #1 after RG
So many injuries and issues with the Top 3 this year. Hopefully they are all fit for the second half of the year.
He should consult with Murray about hip injuries. He’d be smart to listen for the long term benefits.
He is in tough position
Either he will absent from this year Roland Garros, which will help him rest but he won't get Calendar Slam(Winning all 4 Grand Slams) in a single year and maybe eliminated early in this year Summer Olympic due to lack of practice in clay and this season Summer Olympic will be play in clay, or he will play this year Roland Garros which help him get practice time, but at risk of worsen injures.
@luudounghy659 Sinner was never gonna win all 4 GS in the same season this year your very delusional
Yes better rest and be ready for grass season where he has a better chance too.
If players are pressured into playing so many tournaments before the grand slams, they will all be injured at a very early age.
The reason the big 3 were able to stay on top for so long is that there were fewer tournaments during each year.
The money being made for so many, players, tournament events and sponsers is harming the players themselves, and eventually the sport of tennis!
It is better to take it easy now before his injury becomes chronic.
The hips & it's surrounding ligaments can be REALLY fragile...I'm sorry for Jannik Sinner because he is SUCH a great competitor.. !! If he is patient , he will be back..!!
so big 3 records are safe because their challengers are either injury prone or whatever is wrong with tsitsipas and zverev
It's either 1 or 2 tournaments or potentially his career.
It was obvious he will not play FO. Considering Carlito will also come after injury and perhaps with some issues during the slam, you get even more why Rafa wants to play - the field will be weaker. Same applies to Nole, he will come also without any rhythm/momentum (he's training will be affected in the upcoming days to say at least). So at the FO, most likely Jannik will be out. Then Rafa, Nole and Carlito will all be having difficulties. You see now how this FO may be so open ? First rounds will be so important for both Rafa and Nole.. The likes of Sacha, Stef, Rublev could have a chance they will not believe 2 months ago :) . Still hope Rafa will claw back into form in the first rounds and fight hard. Will see...
I think Nole might dropped down to focus on Summer Olympic and recover.
@@luuduonghy659 I don’t think so, he’ll play.
Italian journalism is really poor in Italy, I am Italian and I can prove it to you. The Gazzetta dello Sport did nothing but repeat what Sinner said before and after the press conference in Rome as you have already seen and commented. There is no news here in Italy actually about the RG tournament because it's all secret. Whether he plays the next tournament or not, nothing is known, much less the Gazzetta dello Sport which feels a bit of hatred towards Sinner because of a region that mainly speaks German ,but Italian region.
Yeah Gazetto dello Sport has always been a sensationalist sports tabloid, but they may have some informants within Juve, no? Although the medical staffs of these teams are usually airtight.
Thanks so much for adding this perspective which we non Italians wouldn't realise. I have seen a lot of English language articles too basically rehashing what was said at his different press conferences. Yes we have to wait and see what is decided by Jannik and his team and I have total faith he will only play if he feels 100% as he said before.
@@joannemoore3976I'm afraid these rumours have a basis.
@@lilise3965 They may well do but I will wait to see what Jannik and his team decide. Everyone is desperate for news so they are all jumping on this article.
@@joannemoore3976 There is news in Italy, Sinner's Australian coach has posted a clue on his Instagram profile by putting a photo with his bags packed and his shoes with rackets, that is, he is returning to Italy. He would have returned to Italy only if Sinner would have participated at the Paris tournament.
His Occipital is probably out, which is easily fixed energetically. I have done it dozens of times without a failure.
I hope sinner plays man....
Would be smart decision
Now Djokovic will win
Novak win 2 majors this year@@kingnole4237
@kingnole4237 qtr final lost
@@colethomas903 nope,novak will win rg,he is 70-4 in gs since 2021,
Didnot u say novak is not top 3 fav in rg last year when novak did terribly in clay masters?plz tell me rg results last year
Sinner is a young man. If he wants to play in the Olympics, he needs to rest. If he wants to not have a CHRONIC injury, he needs to rest. He needs to have a longer term focus if he wants to have a longer term career.
My next favorite player after Nadal, have a speedy recovery!
His hips are high, and he has long thighs, which require specliazed training. And he is definitely taller now than he was two years ago. It all factors into his all-court game, of course.
I hope Alcaraz will play
I said at the start of the year when everyone said he was the best player in the world. Wait til the clay season and watch him melt.
Why till the Clay season?
Better take enough rest. Career is way more important than one Grand Slam.
Andy Murray can loan him his metal hip for the French Open.
better for him to not play RG and prep for Olympics..he already said that the Olympics is the priority this year
Definitely the right thing to do. The one bright side is that he has almost no points to defend so he won't take a rankings hit for it.
on the other hand, he will struggle in this year Summer olympic, mean he had to wait for another four years to get gold medal.
i feel like if sinner did play roland-garros he could easily become the next thiem
He is the Injury man
Alcaraz and Sinner beat each other into submission
Is this the same kind of hip injury that Nadal has been dealing with?? If so, he MUST listen to the doctors. If he does play RG he could damage the hip long term & be off the courts for 12 months...
Mustn't Miami Open be his last title.
I think he will not play , and he will back in the grass season less hard in the body ,And I know he is smart and he will the right thing .
Forza Jan 🦊💪🏼
Nooooo... My favorite player. :(
Is there anyone who isnt injured?
Cool, now he can do more workouts in the gym!
Jannik🙏🤎
Sinner should rest. Then hopefully be closer to 100% for grass season and Wimbledon. No chance to win RG with hip issue. Not worth the risk.
I WANT HIM TO WIN ATLEAST 10 GSLM
This is sad news 😓
Sinner missing gifts it to Nole
Hips are tricky…he needs to respect his doctor’s advice.
I dont think he will play RG :(
He wont play the RG most likely.
This is pretty cool for djokovic, he might stay at Number one although Not winning a tournemant this year, pretty remarkeble 🐐🐐🐐🇷🇸🇷🇸🇷🇸
well not actually. He had to defend a lot from this year Roland Garros and he is in horrible form.
@ericlorenz292 Djokovic has to make the final to keep #1
Sinner and Nadal should be “hip”!😮
Jannik should listen to his body , take some proper rest , his medical staff knows better in the long term .
don’t think jannik would risk it, he won’t play RG :(
