As a Canadian I can say that many Canadians hate Trudeau and the reason why he is being so provocative towards India is because of Jagmeet Singh, the leader of the New Democratic Party that Trudeau requires support from to keep his government in power. It is obvious that this an issue where Jagmeet Singh supports Khalistan separatists and has pushed Trudeau to be provocative in exchange for Singh to support his government. It is just about keeping political power, otherwise Trudeau would no be so intense about this.

But why are Canadian people tolerating this?
I agree that assassinating someone on foreign soil is absolutely wrong. But Nijjar killing wasn't the first time it happened. And neither is India the first country to do it.
Terrorists and criminals are assassinated on foreign lands all the time (number 1 country to do it is the USA, obviously). Most countries tolerate it, as long as the people killed are from criminal backgrounds, and things are kept subtle away from public knowledge.
Any Canadian who knew Nijjar before this fiasco, probably knew that he was a gangster, drug dealer, and India actually did what RCMP should have done decades ago.
Intelligence agencies of all countries have a mutual understanding that you do it subtly and keep things away from public view. (Let's not pretend that the USA and Canada haven't done it in past, possibly even on Indian soil.)
Trudeau should have never taken it this far. His provoking will lead to India publishing all the evidence of various terrorist activities of these criminals and although the Canadian govt will deny it, it will be open to people to judge whether such criminal activities are acceptable on Canadian soil.
Most Indian people will still support the govt for killing a terrorist. But will Canadian people support Trudeau for allowing such terrorists to thrive under his own nose?
Going public with this, that too in his own parliament was a suicidal move by Trudeau.

USA understands dollars. Cancelling Stryker deal is a punishment for Canada and message to US, after General Dynamics is a US company. And it is a no brainer when our indigenous product is so much superior in specs and half the price:).

Very costly deal, tata makes it in half of its price plus tata whap is amphibious, stryker parts are made by canadians they will sabotage the vehicle as khalistan elements are well settled in every facilities of khanada(future name of canada)

In these comments, Canadians can say all they want about how they don't like Trudeau, but the fact remains that Trudeau has been the way he is currently throughout his entire political career. These same Canadians here in the Comments have elected Trudeau in three general elections. He won in 2015, 2019, and 2021, so it appears that even two years ago, they still loved their Dictator Trudeau.

If he was elected 3 times how is he a dictator ? I think the Canadians here are the exception not the rule.
Most Canadians hate Trudeau for domestic policy like immigration and taxes, nothing to do with India.

Good decision. Tata's whap is a far better product with additional features.
Moreover, we need to have a clear cut policy of not buying any extremely critical defence equipment like fighter jet, air defence system from West except France.

Why defence deal alone. Even lentils and DAP exports from Canada are reduced and we source it from other countries on the same terms. Students enrolment also reduced for the last couple of years. Canada is only looser with looser PM due to his loose talks and immature handling of internal and external affairs. He is a pariwarwad fellow and thus lacks commonsense and intelligence. Pappu of Canada.

US bought 5000 of these tanks. 500 is jot a big deal for them. Canadians view themselves as backup US. As long as they satisfy US that's all they need. Canada with the population size of Indian state kerala don't need so much money and they don't have ambition to go anywhere. Even if trueduo leaves it will be similar situation. This deal broken is good for India. Infact India should sell to USA.
