Always a pleasure watching and learning from the master. Have been lucky enough to meet you Tom and the tips you gave me helped to make my day that much better.
Started my angling life at Ravenfield in the late 1950s. My dad worked at " Steelo's" and was a member of the fishing club which entitled his offspring to fish there . wonderful place
What a fantastic place Enjoyed this video, nice to see Tommy just fishing for fun with so much enthusiasm. This brought back memories of my childhood and fishing with my father. Please do more of these. 👍👍👍👍👍
I've been a member for a few years now and you are right..I stopped going anywhere else, especially seeing as you have five ponds on there all with different characters and dominant species
Lovely video, by far the best parts we're when you focused on the float so that we could see the bites. Not into line diameters, only understand bs in lbs. A better way of judging the depth is this. Put two stops above the float and set them to the depth with the plummet then you can leave the top one in place and adjust the fishing depth with the bottom one. By the was £81 a year is VERY expensive compared to what we pay in my area, it's at least double. Shall definitely watch more of your videos.
Thinking of Eid attacking everything on the drop, would not have changing bait to corn or worm etc have put them off and attracted another species on the bottom..? Brilliant on the go lesson..
When you've finished put a loop 2ft above the float with a loop tyer and put it on a long pole rig winder then tie a 8turn blood knot onto the loop with the mainline on your next trip storing the rig in a tube never had a problem quick and easy
I enjoyed the video, great stuff, what's an eye and a tinka tinka? Yes, I'm from the south but my parents one from Yorkshire and other from Lancashire, just never heard these names for fish, been fishing 50 years!!!
Seriously??? You've been fishing for 50 years and don't know ide or that tench Latin name is tinca tinca. Abramis brama, essox Lucius, rutilus rutilus. Etc.

Next year I am taking up my fishing gear and spending at least one day a week enjoying the peace and quiet and escaping the wife for a few hours.
Escaping her indoors is the best bit😂.
i have learned so much from Tom,to keep everything simple and have patience, especially the calm and clarity with which he explains it, Thanks
Best teacher of how to fish without doubt , thanks Tommy.

I'm happy to say that my casting is comparable to Tommy Pickering.

A guy I met showed me a picture of one he caught years ago. It's a beautiful mixture of roach and big dace
Anyone should be ashamed to say that they live 20 mins from a fishing lake and after all those years never been. 😢
Too busy going every other lake
