tata should have provided a more powerful engine.
tata should swap nano's 600 cc engine with Daytona's 675 and create a badass hooligan nano :P

rider 93 that engine of the Daytona is a gem...if that was the case, nano couldn't be so much affordable...and that 600cc twin cylinder engine can rocket nano from 0 to 100 in just 12.6 seconds...faster than a swift diesel....what else do you need....its adequate

On the event of Tata's latest #LaunchAlert, the new GenX Nano, our comrade TenHut went on a 'Nano' drive of sorts and here is how his first drive unfolded!
This is a better car than what common people perceive to be. How I wish that Tata had a device to make people forget of everything about Nano before this one.

I love this car but I live in America.
Best local / city / second Car package. Best alternative to 2 wheeler. Safety, Security, Auto Transmission, AC, Music System with USB / Aux in / Bluetooth Connectivity, Central & Remote Locking, Tiny Footprint, Power Steering, Front Power Windows, Small Turning radius - All this, coupled with the best mileage, makes Tata Nano surely a much better worthwhile package at the prize point it's offered at. Unfortunately, people's perception doomed this Wonderful Project. Hope Tata would revive Nano with Electric / Hybrid Car option & also add ABS & Airbag/s, slightly bigger engine, atleast as an option.

Rohan D'mello Yes it definitely adds up here. They have already made a good looking car look so much better.
A very rosy review. More optimistic than my test drive experience. The steering wheel feels toy like. Sports mode does not really make it "peppy" ! After driving a Santro - space does seem little cramped but still better driving posture than other cars.
I have booked it as whatever it has (still loads of it) is big value for money with the comfort of AMT. Will meet 90% of my needs except for high way driving which I anyway intend to cover in a taxi with the savings.
I typed "tata nano gen x review" and got a list of all reviews, but first I wanted to see review from PowerDrift. Coz u guys have a unique style of presenting and awesome camera work. You all are simply awesome.

Great car, an even better review. The music really suits the mood of the car and all the features explained well, especially the one detail on the AC which wont be found in any other review.

perkins rans We hear you, and there will be more reviews for sure, but one is 3 days is unlikely, we would really like to spend more time with our machines and tell you bits that matter instead of reading out a brochure. And so, we wait for cloning machines, and or time travel machines, and or a lottery to bump up our piggy bank!

It really is a great car .....
I even think its better than the Altos from MSIL
Its way more practical and offer oodles of space ... Has a peppy engine and great efficiency and great gizmos ....
Talking about AMT at this price point .......That is just icing on the cake.... ^_^
Plus, since it is strictly a car for city drives I don't think there is much need for ABS or Airbags; But then a mishappening can occur anywhere ..... *Sigh*

Subodh Ranjan Yes, the Nano always had practicality written all over it. Plus like you said, the AMT now made it even better. The next viable addition should be ABS & Airbags.

I had shared a similar feedback earlier, for bike reviews, where the background music masks the sweet sound of a bike revving up.

It's difficult to hear what he's saying coz of the background music.
Why is there no criticism for Tata for upping the safety quotient in this car? Where is the ability to put a rear child seat or 3 point safety at the rear? This is something that the Nano has been panned for in the past and I see nothing being done to make back seat passenger safety top priority.
Abhijit Bera Agreed but their next iteration will see a bump in their safety standards. There seems to be quite some flak on this sphere.

This is the perfect City car for a city like Bangalore, where you rarely do 60 or 80. AMT is a boon for crawling traffic, and since it comes loaded with Power Steering, air con and audio system with good enough connectivity options, this will be a perfect city car. Now all TATA needs to do, is Market it RIGHT and undo some of the damages done w.r.t market perception .

Tata has stopped production of the Nano. You can contact the nearest dealer if they have any left in the stock.

Even with the safety features it will be 40 thousand more,that's still quite cheap. Airbag might not make much difference though.

The smallest and quitest
I am a Tata Safari owner since 2013. It has been the worst mistake I have made in my life. The vehicle has been to the workshop over 50 times in less than 30 months with repairs under warranty to the tune of Rs 2 lacs. I must have lost my sanity temporarily when I chose to buy this car. I would not recommend this car to even my worst enemy. After sale service is pathetic as well. STAY AWAY. PERIOD!
Seriously? What is the point to that awful music that is drowning out the guy talking? The whole clip was ruined and i gave up after a couple of minutes. #ReEdit #DitchTheMusic

No Sir, my 2nd car per se, but not 2 together. Will sell off my Ritz, since it's discontinued and I don't often do Mumbai-Pune-Guj trips like I used to. Should be good for relieving my aching left knee from the irritating rickshaw, cycle, motorcycle road-cutters..although I hoped the Kite was out too, a little more power never killed anybody :'(.
Our resident chief technician uses that route as well, so does out elbow man Gamer! Both love the Nano for it! That asides there is nothing called as enough power, or too much power :p
