The Tata Nano was a compact city car manufactured and marketed by Tata Motors over a single generation, primarily in India, as an inexpensive rear-engined hatchback intended to appeal to current riders of motorcycles and scooters - with a launch price in 2008 of one lakh rupees or ₹100,000 (US$1,500). In May 2015, to revive the model's sales, Tata Motors proposes a redesign both inside and outside the car: the name is changed to GenX Nano to underline the changes, the range is offered in 21 different version and the 5-speed semi-automatic transmission is introduced., electric power steering, air conditioning, and Bluetooth radio available on top models in addition to new colors and new alloy wheels.

6 Colors: Red, Purple, Silver, Blue, White, Brown
Price: Rs. 2.36 lakh to Rs. 3.34 lakh (Ex-showroom, New Delhi)

I have 2012 LX model and have clocked 76760 km till date in a period of 9 years. I returns an average of 25 kmpl in city and nearly 29.50 kmpl on highway. Totally Satisfied with this Engineering Marvel. Thanks a Tonne Sir Ratan Tata 🙏🏻😇
I own a Nano 2012 model. I go on long drives and also drive the car on ghat roads and rough roads. Nano has the capacity to with stand any challenge but not the poor mindset of average Indian.

Bruh! Safety issues comes first. It's not the mindset.
However, the car faced a lot of technical issues in its initial production run which further contributed to its failure. During the first two years, several Tata Nano cars were reported to catch on fire due to faulty wiring. The Nano had poor ride comfort and stability issues due to the lightweight body
Listen to me , Ratan Tata dream was to make this car because he didn't like to see family on scooter so he made nano which was cheap so they can just add some more money and buy at least a car for them . This car is for those who can't afford expensive or middle range cars . If someone can afford middle range or expensive so then why will he buy nano . So don't talk about the mindset . EVERYONE HAS THERE CHOICE . STOP CALLING CHOICES/MINDSET CRAP 😑😑😑

Beautiful historic car. Nano was never a failed project for Tata, indirectly it acted as a advertisement for Tata motors and a learning experience too.

I agree,this was very innovative and had it been engineered a little stronger this car would have been a different story.I would have loved it to come to the uk as a low cost city car.Still looks fresh,hopefully tata will revisit the concept one day...

Such an amazing car. I am using one since 2016.Though I have another sedan, I prefer this for day today use even now in 2022.My wife also uses it regularly. We have also taken it for long drive.
Sad it has been discontinued. But we will use it as long as we can.

I love this car. I think it is one of the best budget cars ever produced in india. Well lets not talk about why it couldnt capture the market. But apart from that it is a great product. It has AC, heater, front power windows and CD player, Radio, USB AUX

Hello from Toronto, Canada. We here in the city could definitely use vehicles like the Nano GenX Twist XTA. It has all the features we're used to here - power steering, automated manual transmission, power locks, air conditioning etc. Safety issues are what will keep it out of North America, unfortunately. I'd personally love to own one - a basic transportation 'module' that is low-cost and fun to drive. Personally, I'd take the pure 'manual' 4-speed model, since getting the best out of the little engine would be then up to the driver. Good review. I hope you might try a review in English sometime, although it is easy to understand you and the video photography is excellent! Namaste!
