Sam and Jess are the perfect companions to have with you on your adventures, yinz make a great team. that was one hell of an adventure my friend, it is an absolutely amazing place. You think they would be on it to clean that place up and make it into something else. That was an absolutely amazing adventure my friend, thank you. All of that hard work getting into the place on the roofs all that good stuff, and you leave by walking out the door.
I’ve just started to do the work here reinstating things since the fire ! We walked the exact tunnels a couple of days ago, the sections by the holding cells are highly smoke damaged and the room with the various heads around the ceiling has no roof now ! Great video guys
I am a Bristol native and spent many hours in timbuktu! Great to see it again! Only closed about 5 years ago. Looks like they've stripped it out of all bars and stuff now. If you go again take me with you and I'll show you where everything was!
It looks like they were or are starting work on these buildings. The neatly cut square holes with TP written above them are test pits to find the footings of the building so they can be assessed by a surveyor. Also, the electrics with the blue cable have been installed for the purpose of starting construction too it would seem... at some point anyway. Thanks for the uploads.
Very nice job guys I'm disabled so I love watching you do the things I never Could, your chilled style is a pleasure to watch. Thanks guys keep trucking lots of love Ady Pea!
49:22 ooo DJ Dave Clarke...NICE! He's a Techno DJ famed for the amount of records used per set. Sounds like the sort of club I'd have loved to have gone to :)
The drone footage at the end really showed the move from the pitched roof onto the turret thing then onto the flat roof, that's a gutsy thing to do at any time never mind on a dark damp night!
OMG!!! That was AWESOME!!! Thank you for taking us with you. Shout out to Sam and Jess for showing you this and for being there for when you might have chickened out and instead had to show the youngins how it's done!
I lived in the city from 2000-2015 and passed these buildings many times and its amazing what you pass without realising it. This video and the other one where you went on a authorised visit through some tunnels was really fascinating to watch.
It's in every city basically. Market working and keeping the needs high artificially despite many people needing homes. The municipality owns buildings and doesn't rent them out to needy citizens, just leave them empty. My city has 150 big empty buildings while people have to wait per lists up to 10 years for a home.
Here 125.000 citizens, 150 big (office towers, monumental, etc) buildings empty, not being made suitable for simple apartments for people for example . But project developers sometimes (rarely) create an apartment building out of one but those will house high incomes, so it's a money profit thing, besides control. The other not that rich people do not get relief and are still on the waiting lists then. Sad situation.
Loved both parts, I was practically hiding behind a cushion when you guys were on the rooftops. Love Sam and Jess too, the 3 of you make a fantastic team they way the 3 of you work together. Just subscribed their channel too. I love how you always take your time and allow us to see everything just as clearly as you do. Some other explorers whizz through places leaving you not sure what you have seen and giving you motion sickness. Keep up the good work. Love it.
I was given your link via Rebel Without a Pause channel and WOW I'm so glad I found you !!! I love a good explore but this is EXCEPTIONAL. I was hooked by the way you give great informative/ questioning commentary, superb slow film timing to be able to fully see and absorb the extent of the architectural details and also by not missing a single area. Watching this has been a real pleasure and I can't wait to go through all your other past video's. That place was an exquisite find - Amazing !!! Thank You xxx
Thought part 1 was an amazing find..but part 2 was just the best fantastic tunnels, nightclubs and courts big probs to Sam and Jess and you Matt thank you all. "Amazing".
Could not believe it when you opened the brown doors onto the street .bet all of you sighed in relief. Great explore Matt .come back soon from me in Dover Kent .
Absolutely awesome it just gets better and better as it goes on. Matt love your explores with Sam and Jess really nice couple those two, absolutely love all three of you exploring together. That explore has to be one of best ones you’ve done, how the hell you found your way out of the the lower underworld beats me. Can you tell how much everyone enjoyed it? 🇬🇧🇬🇧🛸🛸👍👍
I fucking lived in here. I was squatting in there with a dude called Chris wren. We got in from the old night club. Crazy stories about that place bro. You guys still active? I COULDNT BELIEVE I FOUND THIS PLACE ONLINE. RESPECT!
The quality of the content coming from this channel is outstanding. Completely unedited which is great. And packed full of detail. Nothing is ever missed. I’m surprised you haven’t got millions of subscribers to be honest.
The first video of this one has nothing compared to with the master piece of this video. Matt this by far was amazing I never new how big it is under the streets of your home country. All of your videos on your RUclips channel are just my all time favourite. There are some funny things and a Lil bit if seriousness at the sametime. But just be careful Matt ok mate some of those things you do it makes me clench my teeth in fear. But I love that it gets my blood going and I absolutely love your videos. Well done mate very done looking forward to seeing more great content like this.

Just wanted to say a massive thank you for your video! Absolutely amazing! Shame it's just left to rot now! Keep up your hard work! I'm always amazed at how much walking is involved lol!
Wow the cell doors are interesting. Cool safe. What an amazing explore mate. Nice virtue et industrial Emblems. Bristols Latin motto 👍. Cool video mate always love the history. Such an awesome place this mate. I like the paintings around the door frames.
30:54 anyone else hear HELLO ????? and at 30:44 he says hello 1o seconds before but sounds computer generated. hmmm maybe your being very cleaver and keeping people watching in curiosity
You were right, mind-blowing! That was a maze and amazing! I feel you have outdone yourselves with those two videos. Thanks again for the awesome adventure.
ok the club you were in was called Timbuk 2 it was just up the road from the old courts funnily my name was on one of the flyers on the ceiling in your video hahaha , also if you do a history search on bristol you'll find the tunnels were used to transfer slaves and ran from the docks up and they linked all the buildings along st nics market also. They used this method to hide the horrible history of what was going on. hope this helps
Wow, just when you think it couldn't get any better, lol. Much respect, dunno how you sniff out these places but well worth the detective work. Thanks for another great explore👍
9.26 perfect for most judges WELL CROOKED. 1:23.30 That looks like one of the windows at the cells. At a guess ide say the two stairs down went to either set of cells you were in. You three are proper nuts... Absolutely fantastic.
Hey Sam and Jess ..good to see ya...hey babe , you doing well Mathew..we send our Love from Colorado .co they have these tunnels under the Colorado Springs street as well it was used to store cashiers of gun powder for the Army Calvary we still have some of the Horses there for parades and ceremonies, I have a friend how is a public safety officer who was a mounted soldier,, well I don’t know what I’m jabbering about sorry for carry on so !.. That’s what happens when you get hit in the head to many times before they issued me a helmet hehehe ...🥴🤪🤪🤪
Mind blown Matt! One of the oddest buildings I've seen on an explore. I would get lost in there for sure. Thank you for another one of your always excellent videos! Nice filming, editing, commentary.
I remember Timbuk2. A proper labyrinth of a club. Good fun though. It's a shame it's been left in that state. I believe it got closed down due to noise complaints from the flats above. Don't live in a city centre if you don't want the noise
Matt, I love Secret Vault! Love the history of ur country! Enlightening! Saddens me that this is hidden away. Our children need the history for posterity! Im so happy that u do this knowing u could get hurt in ur lil “escapades” leaving me breathless & with panic that ur up real high & looking for a way down to earth! But, Matt, super human always comes through! I don’t know how old u are, but u are a “walking encyclopedia!” I learn about machinery & wat everything is for expanding my brain function a lil! U deserve an “Oscar Award” for ur work! And that lil, “um” u do when something catches ur eye, kills me every time & actually “wait” for it,🤣 Now, i would say thats nuts! Seriously, be so safe & protect ur lungs! Many Blessings to u & urs Matt! Sioux City, Iowa. Corn 🌽 & 🌾 country. Flat land, black dirt awesome for growing food!😃
This one great find Matt. Really enjoyed this video. Maybe the underground is a chill out zone. I wonder originally why and what the tunnels were used for. Freemasonry maybe
Those cells were huge compared to some I have been in here in the USA. The cells here are 3foot by 6 foot for 2 people and that ain't for just 1 day, that's for months and even years at a time.
Them old "Victorian tunnels" may be a WW2 bomb shelter, looks quite similar yo them or later used as one, should've found a way to climb up past the plywood sheet.
Matt the phrase is "Fair Dinkum". It means "for real". Its used in NZ too by my parents generation 50s to 70s.. Where it comes from I don't know. Any how that was a brilliant explore. One of your best. from the rooftops to the basements.. The nightclub must have been warehousing originally. Awesome
Well a lot of Bristol underground is like that walkways and tunnels and spaces then more walkways, all under Bristol going in every direction. Nearly all parts of centre of town joined all others underground. Cool huh.
Has Jess been there before 31:35 on the ceiling to the right, written in candle soot by the looks of it. I hope it wasn't in use when that was written Jess 🙄 Great explore, best I think I've seen so far, of any Urbex vids, I love underground or basement explores, and the architecture is amazing.
After watching your vid I went on google, to see how it was on its heyday and was shocked to find it was involved in a fire. Looks like some vandals started a fire on the roof and it spread.

l appreciate your comment as l was constantly thinking why would people be digging down there.
I love watching you're channel, I'm nearly 67, lived in Bristol my whole life, it's nice to be able to see inside these old building's. thank you x
Very nice job guys I'm disabled so I love watching you do the things I never Could, your chilled style is a pleasure to watch. Thanks guys keep trucking lots of love Ady Pea!
Yeah, me too. I especially love the raw/uncut footage, makes it seem like I'm actually there.
49:22 ooo DJ Dave Clarke...NICE!
He's a Techno DJ famed for the amount of records used per set.
Sounds like the sort of club I'd have loved to have gone to :)
Advent are a Techno duo too,. old skool,. man alive , what amazing club nights they must of had in there,.
Timbuk2 had some of the world's biggest underground DJs perform back in the day.
I love how you don't rush through your explores like a tornado, you look at everything and don't leave a single stone un-turned. Thank you! loved it.
The drone footage at the end really showed the move from the pitched roof onto the turret thing then onto the flat roof, that's a gutsy thing to do at any time never mind on a dark damp night!
What an unbelievable place. This one deserves more views.
OMG!!! That was AWESOME!!! Thank you for taking us with you. Shout out to Sam and Jess for showing you this and for being there for when you might have chickened out and instead had to show the youngins how it's done!

Totally brilliant.! Scandalous that such a building is going to waste when we have veterans sleeping on the streets. I'm smashing that like button!
It's in every city basically. Market working and keeping the needs high artificially despite many people needing homes. The quality of the content coming from this channel is outstanding. Completely unedited which is great. And packed full of detail. Nothing is ever missed. I’m surprised you haven’t got millions of subscribers to be honest.

ok the club you were in was called Timbuk 2 it was just up the road from the old courts funnily my name was on one of the flyers on the ceiling in your video hahaha , also if you do a history search on bristol you'll find the tunnels were used to transfer slaves and ran from the docks up and they linked all the buildings along st nics market also.
Great explore, a club in front of a court, and I think some parts of the court are at least 100 years old.
Mind blown Matt! One of the oddest buildings I've seen on an explore. I would get lost in there for sure. Thank you for another one of your always excellent videos! Nice filming, editing, commentary.
I loved every bit of Part 1 & 2. Excellent video footage captured and documented. Wish I could have been there documenting with you. Cheers Mate.
Absolutely amazing video, thanks guys. I love love this. Fascinating.
Thanks for putting these up! Had been waiting since i heard about it on a livestream couple of weeks back 👍
Great explore Timbuktu was a small underground night club opened in 2003
With these modern lamps, it must be a proper light show when seen from outside.
Brilliant video thank you 🙂
Brilliant video Mat keep um coming 👍🏻
Love this. Really felt like I was there. So Jealous I didn't do this when I lived in Bristol. Keep them coming.
They're not just doors. They're secret doors. mmMMmm. Sorry just having a go. Very interesting video.
I remember Timbuk2. A proper labyrinth of a club. Good fun though. It's a shame it's been left in that state. I believe it got closed down due to noise complaints from the flats above. Don't live in a city centre if you don't want the noise
Really well done though guys. Fascinating to see this side of Bristol
What an incredible find, I wonder how many people even know it exists. Great stuff. Paul in Lower Boddington

Wow, great vid. Thanks you three.
I hit the like button before I even started the video because I knew it was gonna be a banger.
Only one word epic.
Loved this one matt.
That was epic, any jewellers? You could plan a heist.
timbuktu nightclub, would be why they have desert, cactus and camels on the walls.
Timbuk2 night club, I ran Drama there from 2007 to 2011. It’s weird to see if gutted to just the walls
Thant was Awsome and edge of the seat stuff (or bed in my case). Looking forward to you trying to top that one.
🤘😷👍 MDS
Fantastic footage Matt
This one great find Matt. Really enjoyed this video. Maybe the underground is a chill out zone. I wonder originally why and what the tunnels were used for. Freemasonry maybe
The Cells would only hold the prisoners for the day and be transferred to and from the Jail morning and night.
Those cells were huge compared to some I have been in here in the USA. The cells here are 3foot by 6 foot for 2 people and that ain't for just 1 day, that's for months and even years at a time.
Also those cells would be for new prisoners awaiting transport.
Fantastic thanks
i feel like im the 2020 indiana jones watching your videos
Looking forward to seeing this part 1 was amazing
Them old "Victorian tunnels" may be a WW2 bomb shelter, looks quite similar yo them or later used as one, should've found a way to climb up past the plywood sheet.
32:18 - probably temp holding cells while they await trial/removal
In the cell you see TP15 above a hole in the ground. Its a test pit dug by an archaeologist.
Awesome

@@TheSecretVault Very cool indeed Matt.
I guess all the underground stuff makes a building like that hard to let go of for it's owners. Nice exposure 😂
Has Jess been there before 31:35 on the ceiling to the right, written in candle soot by the looks of it. I hope it wasn't in use when that was written Jess 🙄 Great explore, best I think I've seen so far, of any Urbex vids, I love underground or basement explores, and the architecture is amazing.
amazing explore thanks, looks like some sort of restoration was going on at some time any ideas as to what it was and where it was heading? cheers
After watching your vid I went on google, to see how it was on its heyday and was shocked to find it was involved in a fire. Looks like some vandals started a fire on the roof and it spread.
30:51 - Hello
Well spotted... Hello!
LOL
42:24 might be worth using maps and seeing if you can get a location fix.
