Not gonna lie, that monitor at least seems to be pretty decent. Well at least it's definitely much better than my current 4:3 monitor I'm currently using as replacement for my broken laptop screen.
It's the exact monitor I have, a Dell P2014h, which is a 900p 19.5 inch monitor with DVI, VGA, and DP inputs. They were going for around $40 online when I got mine.
That one seems a lot nastier than the one I've got, tho.
I live near a Freegeek store and they sell 1080p monitors for $1 an inch... I wish shipping wasn't so expensive, some places have ridiculous amounts of computer parts just lying around waiting for someone to buy them.
Yeah, it was a much better monitor than I was expecting. These Dell monitors also never die. 😁
@@DawidDoesTechStuff I know I have used one for 8 years, and it's moving to my parent's holiday house as a backup.
Well I don't want to flex, but... Even my dual ancient second hand 60htz dell monitors are better that that... I'm shocked
ya know, this case is actually a case I use quite often in builds and it gives surprisingly good airflow especially paired with a cooler master side mount cooler and some arctic fans, the Xeon inside never over heats from lack of ventilation
Yep we need the follow up video
Send it to GN Steve, so he can review it. He's already looked at two pre-builds from DELL, so he's already traumatized from before.
This looks so much better than those Dell systems.
It's got clean wiring cause there is so little there. Impressed it worked out of the box. KB/Mouse/Headset are shite.
Its actually a far better build than the Dell Alienware system he just reviewed.
its a well built system tbh, only problems are the components and the gaming marketing
Yeah! It's actually surprisingly well built. 😁
My first pc build used a Cit Blaze case… that was a mistake on my part. Tech deals is right spend 70 ish on your case the extra 20 makes SOOO much difference to ease of building and cable management
That Dell monitor with that pivot stand would actually make a nice vertical second monitor
I got a pc for just over £100 more than this stage 3 hemeroids inducing toaster of a system, with an i5 6500, gtx 1650 super (msi gaming) 16gb 2666mhz (dual channel), asus b150m-a m.2 mobo, 1tb wd black hdd, 244gb wd green ssd, kolink 650w 80+ rated psu in the kolink inspire k6 case, with a 1 year warranty, its just kind of sad how people can fall for scams like this, sadly the one i stated here is no longer available, as i believe they were taken off the market after my purchase, in the midst of the gpu shortage, and let me add, the cable management was immaculate
I know, Walkman headsets sound really good, they included some badass vintage stuff...lol
PS: try use an NVME SSD in that PCI (not PCIe) slot and install Windows on it.
Mobo with a socket for a 2nd gen Intel 99.9999999% isn't gonna support booting from PCI. Itll work as a storage only drive though
@@AnonyMous-lk7zi If my memory is good, I'm pretty sure that you need at least 4th gen AND Z97 chipset. There might be unofficial bios in the wild to add booting from pcie for older chipsets though.
@@GuilleAcoustic sounds right

Frickin hilarious! Liked, Subscribed & Notified! Do the 3080Ti upgrade with the PCIE card! Bring that i5 to it’s knees!
That heatsink on the GT710 is hilariously big for a gpu of that caliber.
Kirkland McAffee. Lmao. Pops up and says, "Hey, what do ya want". Best reference ever.
I honestly think you should pull a Linus and do a secret shopper series and take the same price range PCs and compare them and rank them on server, build quality, parts, etc and do a final conclusion. Like make it a multipart extravaganza

Hey... hey now. This is Dawid Does Tech Stuff, not Linus Tech Tips.

This pre built has excellent cable management. You know you've done a good job when it looks like something's missing.
Also, you cracked me up when you said it runs like a doped up sloth! 🦥 🤣
The i5-2400 seemed to be used in huge piles of business SFF systems such as Dell Optiplex 990, HP Pro 6200, HP Elite 8200 etc. Probably a lot of those were donors to PCs like this.
Because it's old enough to be cheap and easy to find. To be honest the 2nd gen i5 and i7 are still pretty capable if you pair them with a good GPU. I myself have an old Acer Veriton with a 2400 paired with an R9 270x just to mess around with it and it still does a pretty good job considering how old it is
What I see here is a budget way to get started with gaming on pc. If I had gotten this, I would slowly upgrade the components over time. What motherboard is it? Is that the best CPU it can handle? I say push the system to the max and see what it takes to run modern games at least at 1080p 60FPS.
I'm 3 months late, but your right, if you put a GT 1030, GT 750 ti and, despite the fact that you will get a bottleneck, a 1050 ti would also be great. I think if you upgrade the CPU to an i7 2400 it will be amazing.
Your face in thumbnail looks awesome man😂😂😂
I think the thing with these prebuilt "gaming" PCs is you get what you pay for, If it is less than $400/£400 and comes with "free" monitor, mouse, keyboard etc, then it ain't gonna be a gaming PC.
I am not really a PC gamer as that is what I have my consoles for, and really do not have the time or inclination to build my own PC, but I at least buy from respected retailers and pay decent(ish) money. I bought my current PC probably 4-5 years ago and is easily the best spec PC I have ever had (think it cost around £900), but even this was a little behind in places compared to what was current at the time, but it was perfect for me as a non-PC gamer who wanted something that could game if I ever fancied it, but didn't wanna pay top dollar.
The only upgrade I did to it was after a year or two, I upgraded the single 8gb stick of ram to two 16gb sticks.
It only has two ram slots, no NVMe slot and despite the size of the tower, the ASUS motherboard is basically a mini one so is somewhat restricted. Biggest annoyance recently is the the i7 7700 is one of a handful of CPUs not supported by Windows 11, but that is no real loss and there is work arounds.
Just as an example, if I run the Resi evil 6 benchmark tool, with 2160 graphics selected, I get around 45fps and a B rating, but on 1440 or 1080 I get 60fps and an S rating.
I don't think that is too bad for a non-gaming PC especially when you are getting much worse on systems sold as Gaming units.
I would say that this is not bad entry level work system, considering current prices. You get 16 GB RAM (although DDR3) display, keyboard , mouse, headphones - you are practically good to go. It is only pity they did not include GT 1030 for lets say $30 USD increase in price. Then it would be light gaming system for eSports titles and even some AAA games in 720p.
You know, specs aside, I really do like the case! I really wouldn't mind doing a personal build in that case.
Please just dont, my sister bought her kids a ryzen 5 3600 + rtx 2060 prebuilt in one of these, they are the shittiest quality cases ive ever seen, no room for cable management and still cost like £50, for £48 i was able to get a corsair 220t from amazon (customer return apparently, it was legit like brand new) and it greatly improved temps n airflow, looks way better too, the included "rgb" fans on them are super shite too, a set of 6 £30 uphere fans from amazon looks way better and has better airflow too
Got pretty much the exact pc for £100 with a free monitor and flogged it for £45 so technically I only paid £55 for it. I'm finally upgrading it this year to a Ryzen 5 3600 and GTX1660ti (if I can find one for MSRP)
It could have been so much worse... But I agree, that does seem to be properly assembled and has surprising cable management - some OEM's should take note of this shot. Anyways, it slightly beat my expectations in some respects, but otherwise lived up to others (esp the not so fantastic free peripherals). I can't really fault them except for labeling this is a gaming ready PC. It might load games, but it's pretty short of what I'd call a gaming machine.
There are so many things wrong but the one that killed me was the ATX case.... For a MATX motherboard....
Yes ! I think you should do a video with the same pc but with a better gpu to see how well it performs and even compare it to another pc at the same price point with the gpu. The pc with a 3060 or even 2070 - 2060 .
not the monitor he opens being the same one im using to watch this video
I miss the days where you could build a decent rig feels like only a few years back for like $500 and still do decent
FYI:
2x DIMMs != Dual channel
that pc would be great for games that also were released for the 360 and ps3, and you get pretty much the switch experience on fortnite, if this pc was 300 bucks it would be ok.
What makes this worst is you can get a 3200g prebuilt for under 500 bucks. Which will be over twice as fast and upgradeable.
(A PC that has dual channel RAM)
Dawid: NANI!?
Im watching this video on that exact prebuilt lol
Wanna know what’s funny? I sold my computer for $350
Specs:
intel i5 4th gen
GT 740 I think it was
32GB of Ram
(Only reason it had a gt 710 was because I took the GPU that was in it out of it for my next build)
That thing is better than my whole setup
Hey! As long as you don't try and sell it for $500 to kids that don't know any better then it's fine. 😁
Lol
Damn, I sold an old optiplex with an i5 2400 8gb dual channel and a gtx 750ti and an ssd for 175. I got ripped!
the best thing about that pc actually is the i5.. they are actually still enough for the most competitive games to reach 60+ fps
as long as you dont use a gt710 lol
"DOTA will run fine on an oscilloscope." Next, Oscilloscope Gaming in HD?
That second gen CPU gona melt down with that rx 3090 , 100% you will need a bigger powersuply!
The software is basically best of Europe cheap PC. I am quite familiar with all this stuff and really hate it, bullguard especially
It's not terrible. The cable management shows the guy selling the PC knows what he's doing.
Price point is questionable. The I5-2400 is the most cost effective way to get decent performance. Best bang for the buck on cheap PC's.
Would have been very respectable if the seller was able to put in a 750ti or a 960... All in all it's a refurbished PC.
I like the GT710... it's a good balanced card... For retro gaming on a core2.
I support the idea to recycle old hardware, they should add at least a RX560 (Full version) or 1050. Then it could actually claim the title "Gaming PC" , those smaller GPUs won't be bottlenecked by the old quadcore CPU.
whoever builds those takes a leaf from Amazons packaging line, big box not much inside
Not only does it come with a VGA cable, but its a USED VGA cable.
Gee, not even my 6 year old crap computer has a parallel port......
(I think Bulldog security is a free or very cheap AV system. I have heard of it a few times before but never used it. I'd still use AVG if you wanted something free.)
For 250 bucks i got a dell optiplex with a i7 3770 dual channel ram with two more slots available and a gt 1030 gpu in it
They didn't combine the total clock speed for you
LOL, when a pure e-waste PC is better built and cable managed then most $2000+ prebuilds from the big brands.

Dad, internet tells me the CPU isn't cancer, but, Can I have a GTX 1050?
I've built systems using C I T's products, couldn't fault the PSU's for the money! So those internals have been ripped from STONE'S older desktop office PCs and placed into the C I T case and matching C I T PSU. Then slapped in the BEAST POWER ANIMAL GT710! As I'm British I'm proud of that build quality. I've deployed STONE PCs in Schools 10 years ago! They were decent at the time.
Thanks for that info! The build quality really was much better than expected. 👍
as a british person aswell cit products are pretty good 👍
Using a CIT Blaze case and it is horrible. Would not recommend as the non removable drive tray makes cable management hard and a struggle to fit my RM750x in. Looking forward to when the H510 Flow is available in the UK so I can case swap my PC
Update: Instead I got a Lancool 215. Case swap went well except I either fried my motherboard or my CPU.
Update 2: It was in fact the motherboard. Got a new one (different model because when looking for a new one I heard that my current board had some reliability issues) and it works great now
Remember seeing CIT branded items back in the 90’s and early 2000’s here in Nebraska at the traveling computer hardware sales that were basically flew markets.
