If Shahrukh didn't do ddlj, Salman wouldn't get the action films he did because SRK would've done them, and done them better. Aamir would've been the next big romantic hero then, which means he would've never felt the need to make his kind of cinema and that would've been the biggest loss. Imagine a world without taare zameen par

I watched Lamhe recently and loved it, DDLJ is my fav Indian movie but I got super excited when they started to talk about Lamhe lol. It's quite telling that the documentary went in depth about the plot, as it didn't do that for the other movies mentioned so far. it's such a different love story and yes it's a bit odd that the protagonist loved the mother and later fell in love with the daughter, but it's this aspect that IMO is awesome. It's UNIQUE. It's a tad edgy. But many people have an issue when a story has a grey area or is too unusual. Some people call it "problematic" 🙄 I completely disagree with Anupama Chopra when she said the scene showing the heroine as a kid is a problem because then you can't take her seriously as an adult later on... ????? That makes literally no sense. So you can never show a character's childhood? Ridiculous. The scene was very important because it establishes her obsession with Anil's character and it explains why she is so intense trying to connect with him/seduce him as soon as she meets him as an adult. Some people just don't understand this story, they don't even try, they just want to call it problematic and that's it. Anyway. Since I've seen Lamhe my new pet peeve is people calling it problematic hence this rant 😂😂😂
