Hello Jeff and Angela, Seems I’m always playing catch up, but wanted to commend you all on the recent three shows about beginning to decorate with florals as we transition from summer into fall. First the basket, what a basket! It is clear that you missed, or at least wanted a change in decor as that basket was an exercise in, if you forgive me, “over the top” pent up desire to create and decorate! I mean that thing was huge and was piled high with layers upon layers before you were done! LOL! I suspect it was meant to be a staging piece rather than a fixture to be displayed throughout the fall, but I could be wrong; a display in joy and exuberance; of bursting into the next season (probably my favorite, but Spring is a contender). Then on to the vases…. You all have some lovely vases that stand on their own in terms of art and beauty. Each tells a story, either from their graphics, shape, history or material (or all of the above). Adding an assortment of flowers/plant materials changes the story in ways I do not yet understand. At first it is almost as if they obfuscate the message from each, but as the eye continues to wander a new story begins to form. It’s kind of like finding a new author you like, or a new food or like walking in the meadow, then suddenly venturing into the forrest, a new appreciation is upon you. The eye follows the vase up, up up, kind of like walking in the meadow, then one reaches the flowers and suddenly one is in the woods enjoying a whole new world. The edges between the two are a conflation of textures, sounds, sights and impressions which tell a new story blending the two. This is a perhaps woeful analogy to the story your vase/flower creations emote; not an easy thing to achieve, I think. Of course all of this is just a supplemental add on to what your primary gift to us all is, namely a gentle, restful, happy, friendly, safe and humorous place to visit, kicking off the shoes and staying a while (with iced tea and lemon!). We just went and bought a whole new batch of fall floral decorations inspired by your show, but that is another book! Best Regards, Jim 😎

I've enjoyed all of your beautiful fall arrangements from your large basket to the large and medium vases. You do such a great job and give us helpful hints and ideas. Fall has always been my favorite season because I was raised in the beautiful Enchanted Mountains of Western New York (Cattaraugus County). We lived in the country and we could look out our windows and see the hills with all their brilliant colors! How I've missed that here in the south these past 6 years. But, this year I'm taking a trip back up north in October so I can once again enjoy the beauty of autumn (and of course I'll have to fit in some antiquing, lol). Thanks again for the fun videos Jeff and Angela.

Can I relate ....born and grew up in western N.Y.....Niagara County ! ..and I've been in Florida now some 30 years.....I miss fall it was my favorite at the time ..Angela and I lived in Tennessee for 3 years ..again lots of fall ....so we do a lot at home because we don't see Fall like a lot of the country....I've always missed the big hardwoods ....Japanese red Maples ...and Colorado blue spruce ! .. But I was also thinking Christmas I put a tree on it so I'm looking for summer colours but Christmas colours to . So I'm going to put flowers in the Christmas tree this year as well as old decorations . But first got to get some I lost a lot in the flooding. Hi ya Jeff . I was looking at my table in the hallway today and it's crying out for a new floral arrangement. But I was also thinking Christmas I put a tree on it so I'm looking for summer colours but Christmas colours to . So I'm going to put flowers in the Christmas tree this year as well as old decorations . But first got to get some I lost a lot in the flooding. Jeff, it constantly amazes me how you are so deliberate and specific and so incredibly talented with your floral arrangements! When I've done floral arrangements I think I changed them a few times before I call them finished! LOL. What an amazing gift you have.
