I feel like i s6 he will be redeemed but in s5 he will not i mean he will be with the good guys against terry but his character will still be very dark and vengeful we could see him break put of jail and try to kill terry maybe even burning down cobra kai dojos
I think Kreese will get a redemption arc. It certainly seems like that's where it's heading. I can see Daniel and Chosen going against Silver failing and then when Johnny gets back from Mexico city he'll see how bad it's gotten in the valley and will go to Kreese for help and the two will team up against Silver. Obviously they'll be a lot of details in between that make this possible but it makes sense in terms of the story and themes.
@@extraplain2412 i think his s5 arcwont he him being redeemed but instead him being vengeful and escaping jail to kill terry silver its a dark arc that fits his character
This season was definetly my favorite season of Cobra Kai (mostly just because of the tournament and the Kenny and Robby relationship) but man every one had such a good arc. Robby, Tory Sam, Miguel, Eli all had such amazing journey's and I'm happy with how they all ended this season. I was frustrated with Johnny and Daniel this season a lot but after that Miyagi flashback it made it all worth it to me. Eli finally has been the character I've wanted since season 2 and I'm so happy for him. Robby continues to be my favorite character and even though I wanted to win his reconciliation with his dad and his relationship with Kenny are amazing and I am so excited for him in season 5. Also Season 5 has me excited to see my favorite Karate Kid villain back, Chozen. The way they feel about Terry I feel about Chozen. I also hope we get Kumiko. Very excited for season 5.
Apparently from what I saw on other reactions the punch that Sam got her second point with is a feint where you punch high and low simultaneously while stepping in, relying on people to instinctively protect the face(?) not noticing the punch to the gut. It makes sense to me and it's really cool if that's the case since neither Miyagi-Do or Eagle Fang aren't relying very much on feints.
That is an actual karate technique, I learned that technique when I took karate.most of the blocks and strikes is actual techniques I learned also, whoever they’re instructor is an actual karate practitioner.
That's...not how probabilities work. We don't know the probability that a writer for the show would develop a character that just coincidentally knows karate.
i dont think Miguel's dad will be much of a factor other than making Miguel realize Johnny is his father now. i think the real storyline is going to be Settling up daddy issues with johnny while Robby/Miguel settle their Abel Vs Kane holy war once and for all and finally become what they really are... brothers.
Robbie looks like a fucking Terminator this entire fight until he gets distracted. That actor is a world class poser, we need him in a superhero movie STAT!
Daniel said to Eli that he was longer in Cobra Kai and allowed his student to use this style. He didn´t want to work together with Johnny but during the tournament he forgot his own speech with Robby(never put pasion infront of principles.) Crazy how no one sees that.
I like that you mention that Creese is the one who brought Silver back into it. If he didn't Silver would have been fine. Silver is still responsible for his own actions though. Thing with the Ref too is none of it is anything overt. So unless they prove he took money then nothing can be done.
it's not just that Sam doesn't "like" Tory. Tory literally tried to kill her and traumatized her multiple times. and it's only been a few months since all of these incidents occurred, not even a year. In not excusing Sam's behaviour but she's a teenager who's dealing with a lot of trauma and she feels like her family is siding with the person who caused that trauma; for the first time she finally feels empowered to stand up for herself. one thing I will say is that I think it's kind of ridiculous that Amanda was pushing so hard for Tory to get counseling and talk to someone but never once did the same thing for her own daughter lol
I love the double turn in this season with Kreese and Silver, it reminded me of Stone Cold vs Bret Hart at Wrestlemania and that double turn. Although Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang were at stake, Tory needed this win more than Sam, but it shows she really wanted to win clean and as a result showing growth. Things that I hope happen between S5 and S6 (S6 ahould be the final season imo) 1.Mike Barnes returns to co-run Cobra Kai and it's revealed he's Tory's Father and as a result Tory goes to Miyagi-Do 2. Julie Pierce goes to California meets Daniel and Chozen and they reminisce about Mr. Miyagi 3. Julie Pierce takes both Tory and Sam under her wing to help them channel their anger and finally end their rivalry 4. Shawn Payne is released from prison and becomes Cobra Kai's number one student 5. Robby leaves Cobra Kai to train with his Father and search for Miguel together 6. Johnny marries Carmen, Robby and Miguel learn to get along as brothers 7. Daniel uses a mix of Cobra Kai/ Eagle Fang and Miyagi-Do to finally train Anthony 8. Neil Patrick Harris makes a cameo appearance as a call back to when William Zabka and Ralph Macchio appeared on HIMYM 9. Final Tournament/ Final Fights • Robby vs. Shawn Payne • Anthony Larusso vs Kenny Payne • Sam vs Tory (clean win this time) • Miguel vs Hawk (two friends wanting to know who the true All Valley Champion is) • Chozen vs Mike Barnes • Johnny Lawrence vs Mike Barnes • Terry Silver vs John Kreese • Johnny vs Daniel (The Final Fight between two rivals turned friends)
I am so happy Robbie came around I felt so bad for him his story brings me to tears. This season was so good I can't wait for the redemption season 5! Damn that Terry Silver he is so good at being bad! 😅
Would love to see Barnes next season. Would really really love to see Julie from The Next Karate Kid, which Ralph Machio hinted towards it being a possibility and said we'd just have to wait and see.
She’ll definitely be in the series. She’s part of the Miyagi verse. I thought she was gonna be in Chozen’s place at the finale but she might make an appearance in the next season. Maybe she’ll help Tori and Sam settle their differences
Robby and Hawk stole this season. Talk about character development 😍 That fight between them was Incredible!! Both the actors knocked it out of the park! I honestly was rooting for both, but Eli winning it makes sense for his arc ig. But still was so happy for him. Only problem is he might take a step back in next season. His arc is pretty much over...from being bullied - to becoming a fighter- becoming even worse bully- realising his mistakes - losing confidence to figuring out who he is- gaining confidence - to becoming a Champion..damn what more could you ask for. Also he got his girl back:) As for Robby, I think he might be the fighter as of now, he was a beast this season and can't wait to see more of his fight scene and as of his arc is just beginning there's so much more to see and I'm very excited to see the direction they're gonna take him. I want more scenes with him and Johnny, their scene in the finale both broke and warmed my heart, it was beautiful and I won't mind more of that. Also low-key want him to win something, preferably with his dad by his side ( that would be AWESOME) Also shot out to Thomas Ian Griffith for being so fkn awesome as Silver, Again. Amazing season and great reaction, can't wait to see more!
"How many times do you expect me to repay that debt untill we are square?" This makes me wonder if KK3 and this werent the only times Kreese took advantage of Terry's life debt to him?
My favorite character in the whole show is Miguel. I feel his story arc will take him away from the “karate war” and give him his own path. This makes me very sad, because as much as I love some other characters, I haven’t been as pumped to see anyone succeed as I was with Miguel in season 1. Not crazy about this next season sidelining Johnny and Miguel, but it may be the best part of the season. Who knows?
Well Miguel needs to find balance, look at Eli he found balance was at his absolute highest this season and won but Miguel hasn't been right he hasn't been himself he's not really there and he needs this to feel whole again
@ 20:50 ... after i binged season 4, I looked up Mike Barnes interviews. Multiple times, he said he was 'waiting to hear from the producers, but not on the show yet.' ..... Then, last week he completely changed his tune and in his most recent video says "unfortunately I am not allowed to say if I am back in Kobra Kai." ....... Which, pretty much confirms he is back for season 5.
I’m going to make a prediction.. I believe Chosen is going to be the one to train Anthony LaRusso. Just like how Piccolo train Gohan in “Dragon Ball” and how Goku and Piccolo were enemies at first who became friends through joining forces to defeat an enemy, Picolo took Gohan under his wing. I feel we’re going to see the same dynamic between Chosen & Anthony. I can’t wait for the next season!
Do you guys realize what this means? Season 5, if Barnes is indeed the "old friend" that Silver refers to, then all THREE of Daniel's former rivals will be in the same season together. To quote Starlord: I feel a little pee coming out right now.
I remember watching this episode and being hyped up through all of it. But when Chozen showed up, I found myself unable to sit still and doing push ups from the sheer adrenaline coursing through me for 10 minutes.
I haven't seen anyone mention the fact Hawk uses Johnny's take down and kick to beat Robbie. It's the same move he uses on Daniel in their fight before the double TKO.
So glad to finally watch your guys finale reaction!! I've watched sooo many reaction channels solely for their reactions to Chozen at the end!! Though watched your series reaction too
Mike Barnes is definately coming back because the actor who played him (who started his career on soap operas General Hosital) is listed in the cast for season 5. Also for the back flip and Ely's bounceback both were on wires that they used CGI to edit out. All of the actors trained for about ten days for the tournament scenes. There's a link on IG of Sam's full sai kata as they filmed it in full length version.
I was so happy Eli won. For a long time, it seemed like he was lumped in with the "B-tier" kids (like being Demetri's rival) bit he absolutely deserved to be one of the A-tier kids. He's been going toe-to-toe with Robby since season 1. So excited for Chozen!
He took on Miguel in season 2. He's always been a bad ass . But season 2 really got to show it off more as he's come into his own more and more since. Amazing character arc
@@mcgilj1 he got a little fortunate that Miguel and Robby were undone by daddy issues. he never makes the final if miguel doesn't hurt himself. and doesn't win the final if robby doesn't hesitate over kenny.
i think season 5 pretty much proved me right. Hawk got beat by Kenny. and Miguel beat Robby again in their mid season brawl. A healthy miguel is still the best fighter. and it's not close.
@@penoyer79 “Hawk got beat by Kenny” hardly tbh. Kenny scored one point, then Hawk scored a point but the ref was paid off, then Kenny injured his leg with an illegal strike (which could have gotten him disqualified, but again ref was paid off) then Kenny landed 1 actual strike, that had the intent of specifically injuring, and Hawk had to forfeit due to that. So in reality it was 2-1 Kenny strikes landed wise
That was the point. Terry paid off the ref so that things would be rigged in favor of cobra kai and then later you see tori overhear the conversation between that ref &Terry he says the money will be in your account
@@rockninja10002 yeah, I know. But people always mention the out of bounds call but forget that the elbow should have not just been a time out but a point taken off. So even with Tori’s last point the fight should have continued. There was a two out of three point sway in her favor
The “first time” he tried to make it right they still chased him down the hall to beat him up. But got beat up instead! Anthony only backed down from fear of being beat up.
Eric- you are just the best. 17:10- I was thinking the exact same thing lol. Absolutely live your enthusiasm for the shows you watch. What a great ending to a really good season. Robby’s maturity is really a good sign. Happy for Tori to win something and Sam really needed to lose But feel bad Tori knows it was fixed. Go HAWK! I will NEVER feel sorry for Kreese however. I’m fine with Silver being the bad guy. With Kenny- the thing is he has a dad. And we haven’t seen nor heard from him at all.
The main theme of the show seems to be not having a father around. Poor Johnny, Daniel Miguel, Robby, and Tori. Even Kenny's dad is away in the military. Daniel's kids are the luckiest in the show.
The number of folks who don't recognize that the images you see are a skull and not a spine makes me realize NDT still has a lot of work to do towards science literacy.
18:44 - yep, an almost fight (Kreese vs the police) for one second; lol 😂🤣! The episode would’ve been longer if Kreese kept fighting against a police officer.
my predictions for next season: I think Terry will start by calling snake and Dennis ( Karate Kid 3 ) because he knows they're loyal and after what he's done to kreese I bet a part of him is gonna be a wee paranoid. Of course, he might also do that because he doesn't see Danny as a threat and he doesn't know Chozen so he might not feel the need to do something about it. However, I do think things might change when Johnny comes back with Robby by his side as HIS student and also Miguel, the three now having a good relationship ( father - sons ). This change might have him be 'okay, now I need to do something about THIS' and ends up calling Mike Barnes. However, what he might not count on is that Johnny would probably know how to deal with someone like Mike a lot better than Terry thinks, and it might be Johnny who helps Danny get over his PTSD and be fully ready for what's to come.
Eric, what you mention at 13:55 , in this upload as 13:40 is from Judo. It's called Jigoku-jime, though it's name is "hell choke." .... I think it actually came from the steppes, mongolian, or russian wrestling - as this cultural crossover introduced a lot of elements into Judo. Judo also took things from western wrestling. In this case - it is possible, that a classic choke (okuri-eri-jime) evolved into this. I don't find it in classic jiujitsu but it could be. The development of jiujitsu in brazil re-introduced modern judo back into during the 1970s and today, the most common version of the hell choke, is the baseball choke. Rules dicate the evolution of certain moves and modern versions now include American wrestling variations which all cranking the neck with a half-nelson to open space. The foward roll she did is also taught in modern judo and every other submission grappling as a means of disrupting the opponents base of support. This American wrestling's contribution to Brazilian jiujitsu (also, 1970s and 1990s). Hope that long-winded answer helps.
Karate Kid 2 vibes with Johny and Miguel in foreign lands.. Chozen and Daniel teaming up to bring down Terry's Cobra Kai empire... so much hype for season 5!!!!!
the ref didn't only oversee this in the finals, it happened also in the previous episode, most likely often, but they showed at least that one time with Eagle fang, when the new girl was punched/kicked after she was out of bounds and losed the match to Cobra Kai. (after that match she said she wasn't upset because of losing). I love this series and enjoyed your reactions :) . One thing I did not accept was, in season 1 they said, cobra kai and especially Silver and Creese had a lifelong ban and therefore they should've only given the exception to cobra kai entering the tournament under Johnnys teaching. How they totally forgot that in season 4, well... probably Silver bought them into it. Also the mentioning of sudden death overtime... the last time it happened in 85 was because of extreme unfairness, which was the ban for Silver and Creese eventually. It did happen also between Cobra Kai and Miyagi-Do, I was hoping they would address that, but ok, you can't have everything :D
@ 27:40 .. On the subject of soap opera . To this day I see that actor (Mike Barnes) as a guy in my grandma's favorite soap opera, General Hospital. For those who don't know, immediately after Karate Kid 3, Mike Barnes spent the next 30 years in soap operas. Like continually, ten thousand episodes, lol. Come on Mike, come get a real paycheck and put that Gi on. Man, I can't wait to see him fight Chozen and Johnny.
I thought of that the whole time they kept saying its like a soap opera. And guess what, the guy who was Mike Barnes? Currently employed on a trashy soap opera that my wife watches, The Bold and the Beautiful.
Soooooo Much Character Development on EVERYONE this season. Daniel, Johnny, Kreese, Terry, Hawk, Miquel, Tori, etc. Heck even Stingray. I think next season Johnny's story in finding Miquel vs Daniels Story back in CA. i think it will be split throughout all the episodes. Besides Mike Barnes, i am wondering if the girl from Part 3 comes back, or perhaps Hilary Swanks character pops up at some point.
Regarding Stingray, they really dug into trauma to make his reaction realistic. He's getting his ass kicked, hard, severely, Terry is apparently about to litterally kill him, his mind is going 1000 MPH wondering if he's about to die, and for a fraction of a second, Terry gets him from about to die to granting him his deepest wish. The brain cannot cope with such a contrast. He caved and gave in. Come season 5, Stingray will probably hate himself for what he did, but won't know how to come clean. He committed himself, he dug himself in this situation where he knowingly accused someone of attempted murder.
I think Terry is like Thanos. He truly believes he is helping the kids and doing a good thing. But it was the last straw when Kreese told him to get back in line. At that point, Terry realized that Kreese would never let Terry off from his debt.

That fight between Eli and Robby is so awesome!
"What are the chances Miguel's dad knows Karate"
I mean... 50/50
He knows or he doesn't
That's...not how probabilities work. We don't know the probability that a writer for the show would develop a character that just coincidentally knows karate.
@@stevenclark5173 Do you understand the concept of a "joke"?
i dont think Miguel's dad will be much of a factor other than making Miguel realize Johnny is his father now. i think the real storyline is going to be Settling up daddy issues with johnny while Robby/Miguel settle their Abel Vs Kane holy war once and for all and finally become what they really are... brothers.
Robbie looks like a fucking Terminator this entire fight until he gets distracted. That actor is a world class poser, we need him in a superhero movie STAT!
“Life’s not all growth…we falter… it happens”-Rick the Legend
Terry Silver at the end was definitely giving off anime villain vibes with the music and the planning as well as how he acted
This whole show is a damn live action Anime, best ever lol
Also the white hair anime villain
@@ZioComposite the characters just needed their inner monologues
This show started out as a little gem, and has become a world renowned ruby!! Season 5 is going to be epic!!
I love Hawk an unreasonable amount, and have always wanted to root for Robby. I basically got everything I wanted with this episode and then some.
8:46 " no be there".. man that cracked me up 😂😂
Aaron and Rick both mirroring each other’s reaction with Silver and the ref was hilarious! 😂😂😂
it's not just that Sam doesn't "like" Tory.
Right!! She shouldve done the same for her daughter
Yes, yes, she has the money to pay the therapy. 🙄
Things that I hope happen between S5 and S6 (S6 ahould be the final season imo)
1.Mike Barnes returns to co-run Cobra Kai and it's revealed he's Tory's Father and as a result Tory goes to Miyagi-Do
2. Julie Pierce goes to California meets Daniel and Chozen and they reminisce about Mr. Miyagi
3. Julie Pierce takes both Tory and Sam under her wing to help them channel their anger and finally end their rivalry
4. Shawn Payne is released from prison and becomes Cobra Kai's number one student
5. Robby leaves Cobra Kai to train with his Father and search for Miguel together
6. Johnny marries Carmen, Robby and Miguel learn to get along as brothers
7. Daniel uses a mix of Cobra Kai/ Eagle Fang and Miyagi-Do to finally train Anthony
8. Neil Patrick Harris makes a cameo appearance as a call back to when William Zabka and Ralph Macchio appeared on HIMYM
9. Final Tournament/ Final Fights
• Robby vs. Shawn Payne
• Anthony Larusso vs Kenny Payne
• Sam vs Tory (clean win this time)
• Miguel vs Hawk (two friends wanting to know who the true All Valley Champion is)
• Chozen vs Mike Barnes
• Johnny Lawrence vs Mike Barnes
• Terry Silver vs John Kreese
• Johnny vs Daniel (The Final Fight between two rivals turned friends)
i'd lose it if Barney Stinson appears LMAO
That’s be awesome man
I am so happy Robbie came around I felt so bad for him his story brings me to tears.
Talk about character development 😍
That fight between them was Incredible!!
Also he got his girl back:)
As for Robby, I think he might be the fighter as of now, he was a beast this season and can't wait to see more of his fight scene and as of his arc is just beginning there's so much more to see and I'm very excited to see the direction they're gonna take him. I want more scenes with him and Johnny, their scene in the finale both broke and warmed my heart, it was beautiful and I won't mind more of that.
Also low-key want him to win something, preferably with his dad by his side ( that would be AWESOME)
Also shot out to Thomas Ian Griffith for being so fkn awesome as Silver, Again.
Amazing season and great reaction, can't wait to see more!
"How many times do you expect me to repay that debt untill we are square?"
This makes me wonder if KK3 and this werent the only times Kreese took advantage of Terry's life debt to him?
I need miguel to whoop ass again but he hasn't since season 1
I love the Star Wars references made in this reaction 😂
I cried so much during that Miyagi scene. God I miss that guy.
@ 20:50 ... after i binged season 4, I looked up Mike Barnes interviews.
I checked RUclips specifically to see if this video was up yet and it is. That was a long week. I can’t wait for season 5
Clicked as soon as this popped up! I love y’all’s reviews!
Been waiting for this, if only for that sweet, sweet Terry moment toward the end and to see Eric's joyful reaction to it XD
Such a good season, can’t wait for the next one
Eric standing up when Chozen comes into frame might be the most relatable thing I've seen on this channel
So glad to finally watch your guys finale reaction!! I've watched sooo many reaction channels solely for their reactions to Chozen at the end!! Though watched your series reaction too
I love Eric's throwing down shaft movements. Hahaha. You guys are so great and funny.
Chozen was off to the side to respectufully give Daniel his alone time with Miyagi-sensei...buuut more so for dramatic effect 🤣
Like you guy’s reactions to this series!! Looking forward to your Cobra Kai Season 5 reactions!!
Gotta love that Daniel is fully willing to use the ‘dark side’ when he needs a win, but as soon as he’s winning again he’s back to high and mighty.
"He's gonna throw him down the shaft!"
I feel like a kid understanding that reference
You guys are hilarious to watch. Almost as entertaining as the actual shows lol
This show is consistently awesome and every finale leaves you hyped for what's to come. The very last episode is going to hurt.
People miss that Tori’s elbow should have also been a point deduction. That ref screwed Sam over bad
Damn Robbie a two time runner up. He gotta win the next tournament
Cobra Kai's teaser endings are just😌
nah I don't think lapusso deserved that. maybe before but he's tried twice now to make it right. Kenny is the bully now.
Classic, tragic case of the abused becoming the abuser. But there is hope.
The “first time” he tried to make it right they still chased him down the hall to beat him up. But got beat up instead! Anthony only backed down from fear of being beat up.
@@B-Dad if he really was only scared of getting beat up. Pretty sure he wouldn't have gone into an empty locker room with the dude
@@memeview2566
I’m saying his reasoning isn’t because he understands or feels bad. He just wanted to not be beat up so thought he would play nice.
LaPusso needed to be taught a lesson, and what most people don’t get. Is that courses are months long baby. Here comes the pain train.
Eric's reaction when Chozen shows up at the end🤣🤣🤣
Great reaction guys. I loved every season and maybe this was my favorite, especially the reveal of Chozen .
This show is sooooooooooooooo good its just a miracle that it's this good lol
The main theme of the show seems to be not having a father around. Poor Johnny, Daniel Miguel, Robby, and Tori. Even Kenny's dad is away in the military. Daniel's kids are the luckiest in the show.
Finished 1 day after you guys Season 5 hype is crazy
The number of folks who don't recognize that the images you see are a skull and not a spine makes me realize NDT still has a lot of work to do towards science literacy.
18:44 - yep, an almost fight (Kreese vs the police) for one second; lol 😂🤣! The episode would’ve been longer if Kreese kept fighting against a police officer.
im voting for Van damn to be the father of Miguel that would be amazing , makes no sense, it doesn't matter anymore this show is amazing anyway
I want it to be Danny Trejo or Seagal
There were some leaked photo before showing Miguel dad and a half sister.
Holy shit that'd be nuts!
Robby vs Eli is EVERYTHING
They finished shooting season 5 like 2 months ago. Rumor has it they MAY release it this summer.
my predictions for next season: I think Terry will start by calling snake and Dennis ( Karate Kid 3 ) because he knows they're loyal and after what he's done to kreese I bet a part of him is gonna be a wee paranoid.
I really liked the connection Eric drew from Kreese to Vader killing the Empire.
Aaron: "If he poisons Kreese, I'm gonna be so mad!" Me: Wwwellll...not exactly poison, but pretty damn bad. LMAO!!!
Hope that long-winded answer helps.
this finale was crazy but not because the fights like past seasons but what they did like silver getting kreese arrested and chozen showing up
Karate Kid 2 vibes with Johny and Miguel in foreign lands.. Chozen and Daniel teaming up to bring down Terry's Cobra Kai empire... so much hype for season 5!!!!!
Aaron: "If he poisons Kreese, I'm going to be so mad "
Well, in a way he did poison Kreese by framing him...
the ref didn't only oversee this in the finals, it happened also in the previous episode, most likely often, but they showed at least that one time with Eagle fang, when the new girl was punched/kicked after she was out of bounds and losed the match to Cobra Kai.
That Def Leppard outro is so good
Love you guys🤣😍👌
I agree tbh.
Fun Fact: The actors that play Robbie and Hawk learned their choreography in a day
I think Terry is like Thanos. He truly believes he is helping the kids and doing a good thing. But it was the last straw when Kreese told him to get back in line. At that point, Terry realized that Kreese would never let Terry off from his debt.
The Hawk YAAAAHHHHHH was fantastic
Eli vs. Robby had to have been the best fight this entire show - thus far.
Mark anthony should be his dad. Mark Anthony playing mark Anthony. So he could sing at the next all valley.
I think this is quite possibly the best season yet!
Terry is literally the kingpin of this universe , has power and links
Y’all should react to the 30 for 30 parody of Cobra Kai 👀👀
