Some amazing old bikes there, and a few project bikes that make me itch to do something I know I’ll just stuff up together with irritating the wife with in more ways I wish to imagine. One of the most interesting items I found at such events are definitely the people... Nice looking pub. Pubs in the UK I found to be such a great place to escape to whenever I visit family there, and some even have fantastic food too. But the old timers that frequent these establishments, priceless with a pinch of honesty courtesy of great beer on tap.

Some really nice classic bikes there especially the Vincent, and who would believe in a country town in South Australia there is a gentleman I know in his eighties who worked as a machinist for HRD Vincent, met the man on occasion, think I fell over the first time he told me.

.....some lovely bikes there ! I wondered if this is a regular weekly meeting....or just a once a year one ? There are a few meets in Lancashire - a very popular weekly one on Sundays , the traditional biking day - but others are a bit strange as they're ...'the second Tuesday each month, or the third Thursday...' etc ...which I can't get to due to shift work . I've always wondered just how they get insurance cover to ride a £50,000+ Vincent on our crap roads ?!

Some interesting stuff there mate. The Egli-Vincent was sweet and yer man with the chopped K75 clearly has a singular vision! That style was very popular in Japan in the early noughties, mainly on 250 trail bikes and SR500 Yamahas. My favourite? The JAP speedway iron on the sidecar. Now, that's a style of bike you should try: high compression, 500cc running on methanol, fixed gear and no brakes.
