- United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said on Friday he is profoundly concerned by escalating tensions between Israel and Lebanon's Hezbollah and that UN peacekeepers are working to calm the situation and prevent miscalculation.

Israel is worried, any normal country would be, but with the continued rocket fire from Lebanon every day, what choice do they have? 100 thousand citizens displaced, their homes destroyed, the north of Israel in flames, they haven't much choice. If resolution 1701 had ever been enforced, the people of Lebanon would not have to fear a war from Israel, and vice versa

Bashara misses the point completely here. After october's 7 , Israelis would not accept terrorist regime on their border that might prepare for invasion. They will get the Iranians away from the border according to un1701 resolution, one way or another. It might be related to the gaza war only for hezbolla, not from the israeli perspective.
