Alex: You're a very generous ranker. No doubt you made a small group of people very happy. What are your plans, SS & SSS tier moving forward? All kidding aside, great job on the Unplayable tier list. All that hype on Skyline, this is probably the first time a content creator tell it like it is - A switch emulator should at least have add-ons for game updates, dlcs, and firmware updates. Someone mentioned a tier for Strato and Mikage emulator on reddit awhile back ago, calling it Unicorn tier. My thought was this is such a fitting tier name. I am proposing that you add this to the tier. I could be wrong, but I am almost positive Strato will move to a different tier soon. For everyone: Let's talk about performance. The easiest way to gauge performance is to split the type of games in two tiers: competitive gaming and all the rest. On competitive games, high frame rate is a must. All the rest types of games, high frame rate is not as important. As for other performance metric, frame pace applies to both tiers. Competitive gaming are always multiplayer games (player against player). Now gaming on consoles like Switch, Playstation, and XBox generally falls under "all the rest" types of games and the emulation of those consoles as well. People who play competitive games generally play on PCs. Now frame rates do not appear to match when running multiple performance monitoring apps on switch emulation on android. It is more of a distraction. I think for gamers, it is best to avoid the fps counters and just eyeball the performance. If you are happy with what you are seeing without the distraction, that is what matters. To rank an emulator is equivalent to ranking their compatibility list. "Compatibility list is the emulator's crown jewel." Yuzu's compatibilty list is around C, Yuzu Android at best C-, more likely lower. For Yuzu forks to even move to C+ or B would require a crazy amount of "real testers" to participate like hundreds of thousands of testers plus a big group of developers and contributors to work on it (Send them all here on Alexwpi Channel & subscribe, let's talk). Yuzu Android forks are C- at best, probably lower. Why do you think this is the case for Yuzu and Yuzu forks? Ryujinx looks to be more of a B and have the potential to move to A unlike Yuzu. Testing game(s) are really difficult for a game that runs well on the emulator. For example: BOTW for Ryujinx on Windows for a status-ingame (minor glitch(es)) takes more than 193 hours. Just take a look at howlongtobeat under completionist. Real testers will have to spend more hours than a completionist if you really want to know. That is more than 8 days straight and more than 24 days if you test 8 hours a day. That game is almost perfect on Ryujinx on Windows. You should take note that status-game on Ryujinx are often more perfect than perfect on Yuzu. Just like emulators that likes to inflate their compatibility list (Skyline). Skyline later reduced their compatiblity list dramatically after development stop. Only now some or many of you are finding out Skyline are Unplayable. Why don't we form a independent testers clubs for games and knowledge base? Maybe call it "United Federation of Gamers or The Republic of Gamers" (taken by ASUS I believe, so what?).
